Juhi followed Vikram inside the hotel.
It was not like their previous date.
This was an intimate cafe situated near his office. He guided her to a table for four. She frowned but sat without any questions. He sat beside her.
He started saying something when his phone rang. When he answered it, his whole world collapsed.
He was stunned and Juhi was scared looking at him.
His hands shivered and he cut the call.
He sighed and took multiple deep breaths. When she forced him to look at her, he shuddered.
She supported him wordlessly. He closed his eyes for a minute and then replied, " Dad was in a accident. He...he...he is critical."
Juhi's eyes teared up.
She managed to be sane and dragged him out of the cafe.
They drove superfast to the City Hospital. They rushed through the hospital corridors to stand in front of the Operation room.
She looked around to find his mother weeping silently. She, silently, went ahead to sit by her side, offering her support.
Soon they were joined by Mishras' and Sinhas'. On seeing Sneha, Hina Raheja leaped to her feet, " Why are you here? Have you not caused enough damage?"
Rahul intervened, " Aunty please, we will not trouble you."
Hina glared at him, " You will not cause trouble, huh? If you two had not run away, he wouldn't have resolved to such means! Because of you two, he is targeting my family..." She was stopped by Vikram shouting, " Mom! Enough, okay? Dad is serious, please dont make a mess here."
Vikram glared at her and turned back to face the OR.
Rahul sighed and went to comfort his friend.
Juhi and her mother were accompanying Hina.
Sneha was left to stare at the OR when Juhi's father patted her shoulder.

" Let's have a seat." She nodded.
They sat quietly when he said, " Don't listen to her, she is just disturbed by all this." Sneha gave no reply.
He sighed, " I know who is behind all this, Sneha. And I know it for sure that he is not behind us because of you two."
She covered her face with palms and sobbed softly. He tried comforting the child but the doctor's arrival halted him. All stood up and waited for Doctor's next words. He said, " As we all know, he was in a car accident. But he was lucky to have survived with a few rib fractures with no damage to the lungs. Also he has a brain swelling, we have given him medications. He is currently under observation let's hope for the best." He went back inside and soon his father was transferred into the ICU.
All were stunned "brain swelling". Vikram went back to talk to the doctor. While others were rooted at their place.
Hina Raheja's phone beeped

The Emperor's Concubine
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] The heroine is good and the villainess is evil. That was the absolute truth. That rule was undeniable as well as the fact that only the heroine would receive true love and her happy ending. Likewise, the malicious villainess would always suffer and leave the stage to clear the path for the perfect heroine in the end. So, for Blanche it felt like her world came crashing around her when she remembered the truth about her life. As the villainess in the typical romance novel “To Be Empress” she was fated to be condemned and abandoned by her lover. No matter how devoted she was to Theodore Estien, the emperor of Artias, she would only be the bratty concubine that would obstruct the heroine, who happened to be Theodore's lawful wife and the empress. In the end, the villainess would be deserted and executed. It was destined to happen like this, and yet she couldn't give up. She had to change the future. Preventing the romance between the main characters would get her killed. Much like trying to steer away from the enemies' intrigues, in which she was already caught up, would. But neither the heroine nor the emperor's political rivals would change the fact that Blanche loved the man that was supposed to be the heroine's. And no matter what happened she would always stay by her lover's side. So she wouldn't just follow the book's storyline and let her own doom arrive. Blanche would survive while trying to suppress all of the selfish desires that had made her the villainess. But was she truly fine with that? Did she not desire more than just surviving? Did she even have the right? Could the villainess ask for a happy end? Was she too brazen if she just wanted to stay with the man she loved and receive his affection? And wasn't there a bit more to this novel than she remembered? She didn't know and in the end that mattered little when the world around her changed with each day as more and more questions about the future and the past arose. "The Emperor's Concubine" will be updated thrice a week (usually on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) *The Profanity tag was added due to the characters' occasional swearing, which should not happen too often.

Alien Affair
Mira, dripping wet from head to toe, gazed at the alien man before her and all she wanted to do was taste his lips again."Mira, are you hurt?" He repeated, growing more concerned with every passing moment."No," her voice was barely a whisper, and she threw her arms around him, her lips colliding with his. The towel slipped from her body and she no longer cared. All she cared about was the taste of him, the feeling of his hands on her skin, the smell of his short brown hair. She wrapped herself around him on the bathroom floor, and she was fully prepared to give into temptation when he stopped her."Mira," he pushed up on her hips, her name a groan on his lips. "Wait." She lifted herself off of him, a bolt of rejection striking through her like lightning. She sat up grabbing for the towel. "Sorry," she said, feeling destroyed with embarrassment."I just want to make sure you didn't hit your head," he chuckled a little, holding out a hand to tuck her wet strands of hair behind her ear."I'm fine," she said. His gaze darkened. "You sure you want to do this?" He asked.****MATURE CONTENT EROTIC/SEXUAL CONTENT For ages 18+ ONLY
