Vikram had a brief meeting with the doctor.
The doctor repeated the same, "Brain is a complex structure. We can't predict the outcome as of now. Just hope that the swelling reduces."
Vikram was in a daze. He was sitting outside the ICU holding his head in his hands.
He was beyond angered at Verma. He had not expected him to make his move this soon.
As if destiny desired for him. Verma himself walked the corridors of the hospital and stopped in front of Vikram.
" How are you, mate?" He asked calmly.
" Why are you here? Get out!" Vikram lost his calm.
" I can come here Vikram. After all, he is my fufa!" He feigned innocence.
" You!!" Vikram lunged for him but was stopped by Rahul sitting beside him.
Verma was pleased to see the pain in his eyes. " Fine! I'll go!" He turned back to the corridor he came from but stopped in front of a bereaved Sneha.
" Why are you crying for him?" He snapped at her.
" You clearly have no conscience, but I do!"
She snapped back.
" Really? Where was your conscience when you sided with these people, these people who murdered our parents?" He heaved heavily. " Where was your conscience when you left me behind and ran away with him despite my opposition? Rahul Sinha, one of my best friends, he betrayed me by having a relationship with you. He knew you guys didn't belong together, yet, why?"
Ashok Verma was calmly questioning his sister, Sneha Sinha.
" You are not seeing things clear, bhai. They are not murderers. You listen to me, please!" She pleaded bending on her knees but he moved away.
He paid no heed to her and left the hospital, leaving behind bewildered people.

Sneha was the first to recover. She mumbled incomprehensible things. She was inconsolable.
Rahul had to move to pick her up. He dragged her out of the hospital to their house.
Vikram and Juhi glanced at others.
Juhi asked, " What was he talking about?" Everyone was silent, she got no reply.
She turned to Vikram, " Vikram?"
He nodded and guided her to his car. Once inside the car he started the car to a destination unknown to Juhi.
The car stopped outside an apartment complex.
They pressed the doorbell to the house of Sinhas'. The door was answered by a distraught Rahul. Vikram just widened the door and walked in.
Rahul, wordlessly, guided them to Sneha, who was sitting in front of the windows staring out.
Her hiccups were heard in the entire house. Juhi sat by her side and hugged her side wise. Rahul and Vikram sat in front of them.
Sneha started without any warning,
" I... My name is Sneha Verma, now, Sneha Sinha. My parents loved us dearly. Us being,my brother and I, my brother, Ashok Verma. We had a happy childhood. We, all were friends since childhood.
Rahul Sinha lived in the neighbourhood. I always had a crush on him. But, unfortunately he was also Ashok's bestfriend. Rahul and Ashok had similar lifestyle. They went through girls like clothes.
Puberty hit me hard, you can say so. I put my nose in unnecessary matters. I loved gossiping but couldn't control my tongue. My comments were everytime circulated along with the gossip. When the comments reached to their respective ears, it fired back.
Rahul noticed all this and took a protective stance for me. Since that day, he was always there to protect me. We never knew how we got so close that we wanted to spend our lives together.

We were to tell all this to Ashok that fateful night. But the night was cruel. It was a stormy night and my parents had gone out for their business dinner.
Unfortunately, an accident changed our lives forever. My parents died that night. Rahul's parents also passed away the same night.
Actually, it was a huge massacre. Many cars were involved. The major hit was taken by my parents' car. Rahul's parents were accompanying them to the event. They were the event organizers, but my parents requested them to accompany them to the event, convincing them for an occasional late entry. All four of them died in that car accident.
Meanwhile, Rahul and I had gathered courage to tell Ashok everything. We were interrupted by the doorbell. Four bodies entered our house, shocking all three of us. I had lost my sanity. I tried shaking them awake but they won't get up. I asked bhai, why they were not responding, he replied calmly " They are dead!"
Those words of his used to torture me day and night. They still do. I have nightmares even today, this month. They intensify every June. They died on 21st of June and...
We, three, grieved all night. But we both never saw a fire of revenge spit inside my brother, until later.
It was only when we came to know that Vikram's parents were also involved in the accident but they survived. He was burning in revenge.
He was elder to me and would soon take over business in a few years. He was aware of the professional rivalry between fufaji and dad. All suspects pointed towards fufaji at that time.
Ashok broke off their trio, comprising of Vikram, Rahul and himself. He broke every relation and stopped to take revenge. It has been his only mission for last 10 years.
10 years later, he is back to complete the revenge. It doesn't help that, I married Rahul despite his resilience.
Rahul was my major support at that time and I, his. We tried convincing him many a times, but he didn't agree. He thought Rahul's parents were as well behind the tragedy. It doesn't help that despite Ashok's every attempt, Vikram stayed close to us, closer than my own sibling. He became my elder brother whom I lost that day along with my parents. Slowly, life separated us. I chose the positive side, while, he craved revenge. "
She sighed deeply, tears staining her cheeks. She continued, "Why the sudden turn of events, you might ask. It was because, a few months back the investigation reports came. It showed involvement of your parents, Juhi."
Just like that Juhi's life turned upside-down.
