Two months ago, the day we first met.....

It started out like any normal Saturday. Three guys talking about attending a college party.

"You have got to be kidding me Callum. It's the third time this month you refuse to come to a party with us." Adrian glared at his brother.

"Help me out James." Callum pleaded with me. He always depends on me to get him

out of an argument with the very persistent Adrian.

"Don't even dare." Adrian warned me. "Callum is being a wuss." He frowned. "Again."

"I'm no wuss." Callum spoke out.

We were inside Adrian's bedroom sited on his bed.

"Then stop acting like one." Adrian threw back. "You've been acting like this ever since Emily legit threw herself at you."

I tried not to laugh. Adrian was in fact right. Not right about Callum being a coward but right about the Emily thing.

We attended this senior party a month ago and got introduced to Emily and her best friend Merissa. Turns out Emily had the hots for Callum and wouldn't leave him alone the entire night. Callum couldn't stand her but was too polite to tell her that. He resorted to this weak plan. Avoiding any party in hopes to never see her again.

I don't get Callum sometimes. Emily is a catch, lots of guys want her, but Callum wants nothing to do with her.

Merissa wasn't throwing herself at me like how Emily's boobs wouldn't stay an inch away from Callum's face. Merissa was more tolerable than I expected so I didn't turn her down when she confessed her interest in me.

Merissa wasn't looking to fall in love. No attachments, no headaches and following up on each other's business and most importantly no strings. Exactly the kind of girlfriend I envisioned.

"That's not the reason." Callum claimed. " I have a test on Thursday and I want to be fully prepared."

Adrian scoffed, "You're not the only one with a paper this week. Stop making excuses. Besides, you're smart enough to do it without revision."

"I'm not going. End of discussion." Callum said seriously.

"What are you so afraid of?" I asked. "It's just a party. Attend and if you get bored then ditch it."

Adrian bumped my shoulder in approval. "You don't have to be there the whole night."

"It's a 90's party and I don't have an outfit." He gave a weak excuse. Adrian ordered us outfits from Inez's fashion house a few days ago.

"That's not a problem. The outfits are in my dressing room." Adrian grinned.

Callum sighed loudly. "I don't want to go. What's the point? I don't know anyone there. I'm not going."

Stubborn.

"Then you're a coward." I rephrased. "Just tell Emily you aren't interested instead of running away like an idiot."

"That's not what I'm doing." He defended.

"You think?" I chuckled.

"Why do you need me there anyway?" He turned to Adrian.

"I want to spend sometime with my brother and he's being difficult." Adrian replied attempting to sound convincing.

It was only a matter of time now. Soon Callum will break and agree to tag along.

"And it's the perfect chance to finally turn Emily down." I insisted. "And you never know. May be the love of your life is going to be there, only a few hours away. You can finally meet her since you've been waiting on her your whole life." I mocked him.

He can be tone deaf sometimes. Leave it to Callum to believe in fairy tales in a world like this.

Happily ever after..... doesn't exist.

"Then you can finally stop being a virgin." Adrian added and I had to laugh.

Callum gave us the dissappointed look. "When will you guys stop being assholes?"

"When you stop being so stubborn." I replied calmly. "You're standing in the way of true love here Callum. Your own happiness is at stake. We are just looking out for you because we care." I was being sarcastic.

Callum narrowed his blue eyes at me.

"She's waiting for you Callum. The girl of your dreams is just around the corner. " Adrian chuckled.

We enjoy making jokes about him and his belief on meeting the girl of his dreams and building a happy family. After everything we've been through he still thinks it's possible to find true love. He's setting himself up for heartbreak.

"If I go, will you two stop being assholes and shut up?" Callum bribed.

"We'll think about it." Adrian replied.

"Let me see the outfits and then I can decide." Callum suggested as he stood up from the bed.

Adrian's room has the biggest king sized bed I've ever seen. No wonder he brings more than one girl back to the apartment most nights. I had to move out because of the unbearable loud sounds of girls moaning and bed headboard hitting the wall..

Callum moved out because Adrian would force him to join in. He couldn't stand the pressure anymore and left.

Thinking about the bed made me stand up immediately in disgust. Adrian is a man whore.

We left the room and entered Adrian's walking closet to sée the overly expensive 90's outfits.

Long story short, Callum gave in after seeing the outfits. They were just too good.

I and Adrian attended the party in hopes of having an awesome time and Callum with expectations of meeting cinderella.

Everything happened backwards.
