"You're good at this stuff, Elisa." Cassandra fluttered while staring at her nails. I was painting the girl's cute short nails for her date that evening. "Where did you learn to do that? I can't paint my own nails to save my life."

I smiled, "From my roommate in college, her name is Lucy. I watched her do her own nails all the time. She's a pro."

I miss her alot. We got along well in the end. I wonder how she's holding on in New York?

"You're the pro." Lana paid attention to how I worked. "I have shakey hands."

"Sign me up on that list." Cassandra laughed.

It was another Sunday, I and Enos invited his siblings at the pond again. Jake, April, Chad and himself were racing in the water again while I and the girls chilled on shore.

"Enos told us you are only here for a short while." Lana's palm was on her cheek as she stared at me. She has long black curly hair, beautiful skin and the cutest pair of dimples. "Where are you from?"

"New York."

The girls eyes widen in enthusiasm. "New York City? What the fuck! That's so awesome."

The look on there faces made me laugh. I was reminded how easily excited teenagers get. Their eyes glister whenever something interesting pops up.

"I've always wanted to move there. Talk about the Ultimate American dream." Lana chattered. "Tell us about it. Is it true that people can literally walk naked and nobody even cares?"

"Uh?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "That's ridiculous."

"I heard millennials wear sneakers with suits and most people prefer public transport." Cassandra tapped her chin with her fingers.

"That's kinda true, traffic there is really bad especially on weekends." I replied.

"Have you crossed paths with any celebrates? John Mayer maybe?"

I shake my head. "Not really, I'm not very extroverted and New York is extremely populated. Chances of seeing a famous person are rear."

They were dropping question after question. It was fun feeding their curiosity to be frank. When you're young, there's an urge to know everything there is. To discover and explore.

"How can you live in New York and not be extroverted?" Lana's jaw dropped. Well, it happens often than not. I kept on painting Sandra's nails. "I'm always busy with college, I hardly find time to site see."

"What about malls, restaurants, clubs? I know for sure you've been on those."

"Hardly, Most places are insanely expensive. You'd be surprised." I told the girls.

"You can not be serious right now." Sandra exclaimed. "Then why are you even there? I would probably go bankrupt from all the things and places I will surely be paying for. And I wouldn't even mind."

That's a start.

"NYU." I said simply. "I'm a medical student there."

Lana's eyes go wide. "What the fuck? You go to NYU?"

"Yes." I replied. "It's my first year."

She was impressed. "That's cool."

"What's NYU?" Cassandra looked confused.

Lana responded immediately, "Like literally one of the best universities in America."

"Not exactly. There's Havard, Cambridge, princeton." I reminded.

"How did you even get in? You must be a genius." She complimented while moving to sit closer to me by the mat. "Some of us can only dream about places like those. Do you know how hard it is for me to even score a C on my math test? I flopped so hard this semester."

"I applied and got in."

"And? There's gotta be more."

I shifted my gaze from Sandra's nails to Lana.

"Work harder If you truly want something, you need to sacrifice your time and heart for it. Turn stuff around. I wasn't that smart either, I just wanted to live in New York and I did everything I could to get there."

"As if Lana can work hard on anything." Sandra pinched her sisters cheeks. "All she knows how to do is smile, look pretty, wear expensive make up and drive everyone crazy."

I didn't know how to respond to that.

"Working just don't work for me. I'mma be an actress or a model, or marry someone rich." Lana said.

"Getting married young is one of the most renegade things to do these days." I said.

"Not really. It's a good strategy for when life really sucks and you don't give a shit about what people think. In this case, me."

I don't think I'd marry anyone even if my life was a hell hole. But everyone has their own view point.

"What are you girls chatting about?" Enos came walking towards us with the boys and April. He was soaked, the water on his skin plus the tan made him glow, that rock hard body, why does he have to be so gorgeous?

"Elisa was telling us about New York." Sandra beamed at Enos. The girls have taken a liking at calling me Elisa. And Enos believes they love me now that's why they are getting comfortable.

He came to sit beside me, and whispered "You look fucking hot." In my ears. I wore a swim suit for once, Enos showed up last night with the tiniest most colourful pair and insisted that I wore it. I was surprised that he went all the way. He's really good at picking outfits because the swim suit was beautiful. I wore a chiffon shirt above it to be modest infront of his siblings though.

I tried to hide the blush on my face by bending my head low.

"Do you two love each other?" April smirked while dropping next to Chad who was squatting beside Jake.

My eyes widen at her theatric. Did she really have to say it out loud infront of the kids?

"Wait wait wait ..... You guys are on already?" Chad was grinning at his brother. "Dude! You literally wasted no freaking time on getting her. You must really like this new one."

And then I'm reminded of the long list of girls who'd throw themselves at Enos while in highschool. It's funny how we're endgame now, hopefully.

"Why do you have such a big mouth?" Enos scolded April and I pretended to be busy with Sandra's other hand.

"There's no need to keep secrets Enos." Jake said with a cheesy voice. "We are family."

We aren't really keeping any secrets. We just haven't found the right time to tell them about us. Enos and I were planning to inform them today.

I felt Enos's hand around my waist and I flushed harder. "We actually have something to tell you guys." He announced.

Oh my goodness! My belly was doing a high jump. I turned to face him while ignoring the "Aawwwws" from everyone.

"Something to tell us?! I swear thats the line everyone uses before announcing a baby is coming. Don't tell us you knocked her up already?" April blunted out thus causing Chad to choke on his smoothie.

"WHOA! Wait another second." He held his chest.

I was stunned that April would assume such a thing, but at the same time I was desperately trying not to laugh from how shocked Jake looked when he said, "Does that mean you are getting married like mum and dad."

Both Enos and I said, "What? Of course not."

Lana decided to correct her little brother. "That's not how it works anymore. Now days people don't have to get married just cause they got girls prego. But seriously though, What the fuck you two?"

Lana curses alot I have noticed, even infront of Jake.

"Guys calm down. Nobody said Betty is pregnant." Enos clarified. "And why would you even assume that April?"

She gave us a knowing look, "The both of you practically live together. When aren't you glued to each other? Aside from the time that Enos is busy on work."

In that angle, may be.

"Well, Elisabeth isn't pregnant."

Everyone exhaled in relief except April who waved her hands, "Well that sucks, now we won't get to see the look on Katherine and Her husband's face."

We all erupted in laugher. It would've been priceless to see her reaction. Judging from how she acted upon finding me at her son's house a few weeks back.

"She can burst, literally blow up before us." Cassandra said. "So you guys are a couple then? Like officially right?"

Enos drew me closer, "Meet my girlfriend." He had this proud look on his face saying those words. My head fell low from shyness, this is all so new to me.

"Finally, a girl that makes sense." Lana wrapped her arm around my shoulder. "Congratulations guys."

I was too tongue tied to speak and ended up smiling like a love sick idiot. We talked about this at home, Enos wanted his siblings to know soon and I was so heart warmed that he was ready to tell his family about us. This means so much to me.

"Don't break her heart Enos. I actually like this one." Chad eyed his brother with a grin.

"We'll hunt you down." Jake added.

Enos gave my cheek a gentle kiss. "Now that's something we don't need to worry about."

Enos's siblings are truly wonderful. Now I know why he cares deeply for them. These kids are loving, supportive, charming, and spending time with them is an honour for me. The fact that they've accepted me with open arms proves the respect and high regards they have for Enos. They also cherish his happiness and that speaks highly of them. I'm lucky to have met each of them. I wonder if Enos's older brothers are the same though.
