"and then she cried in front of us, saying how atsumu cheated on her! with me!" you ranted. "god i can't believe that prick."
you told yuki about what happened at the cafeteria with atsumu. after atsumu told her you were his girlfriend, she didn't stop whining about the fact that atsumu cheated. you were sure everyone in the cafeteria heard all her whines because the students began to whisper to each other. you couldn't take any of the drama anymore so you stood up, leaving atsumu with heather behind. sure, he called you and told you to come back, but you bolted out of the cafeteria before he could even catch you.
"you do know he's gonna hunt you down, right?" yuki let's out a chuckle. "he won't just let you go that easily."
you sighed, knowing how your friend was right. the bell had just rung meaning classes for today were over. yuki still had her club activities, whilst you did as well.
"i know..." you groaned. "i'm just lucky i don't get to see him during my club activities..."
"don't jinx it [Y/N]. you'll never know." she smirks.
"what, is he magically gonna transfer to the photography club? because i can never see that happening." you scoff. you joined the photography club as soon as you heard it was a thing in this school. you had an interest in taking photos ever since you were little since your dad was a photographer himself but since he left, you dropped it. you only came back to it this year when you heard of the club and fortunately for you, the club members admired your shots and told you you were one of their best member.
"i'll see you later yuki!" you waved at your friend, which she mirrored. you walked towards the clubroom feeling excited as usual. you were told you were going to take photos today for the school's newspaper, but you didn't know for what. the club president has yet to give you the topic.

your club members greeted you happily, so you greet them back with a smile. you were placing your camera bag at the table when a hand tapped your shoulder.
"oh hey honoka-senpai!" you greeted the older teen. honoka aoi was a third year, also the photography club's president.
"hey [Y/N]-chan, i have the assigned topic for you!" she smiles, looking down at her notes then averting her gaze at you. you waited for a moment while she scans the tiny notebook in her hands.
"so where was i assigned?" you asked, a little bit of sparkle in your eye from excitement. it had only been the second time you've done a photoshoot for the club.
"let's see..." she reads while humming. "oh! i found your name! lucky you, you're the only one assigned in this area!" she calls it lucky because she knew you preferred working alone.
"where?"
"you're going to photograph the volleyball club!"
"this is so stupid." you mumbled as you gripped the strap of your camera bag that was hanging over your shoulder. you were standing outside the doors of the gymnasium, the feeling of irritation slowly creeping in you.
you could hear the squeaking of shoes inside, along with the bounces of balls and some people shouting. after you were told that you were assigned to the volleyball club, you could almost feel your soul leaving your body.
i really did jinx it. you thought.
you asked honoka if there were any other available slots you could fill in, but she shook her head saying this was the only one left. with a defeated sigh, you left your clubroom and walked towards the gymnasium which is where you were standing at right now.
"come on [Y/N], you can do this. it's not like he's gonna kill you for running away earlier, right? god what am i thinking, i don't care about him! he's an annoying selfish prick who–"
"[L/N]-san? what are you doing here?"
you shrieked at the sudden call of your name. it was just suna who carrying a water bottle in his hand, his body seemed to be sweaty from practice.

"oh, hey suna-san." you gave him a small wave. "i'm here to... take photos of your club." you heaved in a heavy sigh.
he tilted his head, a bit confused at first as to why you would take photos of their club, until he suddenly remembered. "oh, kita-san told us something about the photography club."
you wondered who this kita person was before replying, "y-yeah! i'll be covering for the school's newspaper..." you answered, still fiddling with the straps of your bag.
"come on in then, i'm sure the captains waiting for you." he gave you a signal for you to follow him, so you did. he opened the gym's door, a loud creek can be heard throughout. the bright lights from inside blinded you a bit making you squint your eyes, but soon opening them after being used to the brightness.
you saw the players staring at you as you entered, their eyes filled with wonder on who you might be. you suddenly felt overwhelmed by the attention you were having, your social anxiety building up inside of you. they seemed to be in a break since you saw no one playing with the balls. no fangirls were in sight as well, which you felt thankful for.
"kita-san, this is [L/N] [Y/N] from the photography club." suna introduced you to a man fairly shorter than him. he had salt and pepper hair that was styled down, covering most of his forehead.
"nice to meet you, i'm the captain of the volleyball club. kita shinsuke." he lets out a small smile.
"n-nice to meet you!" you bowed, cursing yourself for your stutters.
"no need to be so formal [L/N]-san. so, what can we do for the photoshoot?" he asked. while you discussed with the captain what you had in mind, a certain blonde was watching you from the side.
"isn't that yer girlfriend, 'tsumu?" osamu pointed at the [H/C] haired girl from the distance.
"wait, atsumu has a girlfriend?" akagi chimed in when he heard the topic osamu had mentioned.
atsumu wasn't listening to their conversation. he was more focused on the fact that you came in with suna, and how you didn't even bother telling him you were swinging by. the incidents of what happened in lunch seemed to have vanished from his brain.
without a second thought, atsumu had began walking towards your direction. "oi." he called out to you.
you paused your conversation with kita, glaring at the male for a second before talking with the captain again. did she just ignore me? atsumu thought.
"as i was saying, you can practice per usual and act like i'm not here. that way the shots would appear more reali–"
"i'm talkin' to you." atsumu joins in again, this time gaining kita's attention.
"oh, atsumu, you know [L/N]-san?" kita asks.
"yeah, of course. she's my gi–"
"anyway kita-san, it's a pleasure to be working with you!" you cut atsumu off before he could say anything further.
"no problem." kita smiles and walks away, gathering the attention of his members to inform them about the situation. atsumu on the other hand, didn't follow kita and instead had followed you around.
"hey, don't avoid me!" he called out as you walked away to grab your camera that you placed on the side.
"shut it atsumu. the deal's off, i don't wanna be someone's sidechick." you said, not looking at the boy who was tailing behind you.
"what? since when were ya a side chick? and it's not even real–"
"but it's real to the public eye atsumu!" your voice went louder than you expected. you looked around, hoping you didn't get anyone's attention, which you thankfully didn't. "you're in a relationship and i don't want to ruin that! don't drag me to your mess anymore." you bumped into him on purpose as you walked pass him, leaving him not being able to utter another word.
