"hey, 'samu."
"what is it, 'tsumu?"
"you ever think of someone constantly?"
"...no not really?"
"like, you just can't get 'em outta yer head?"
"no, what–"
"and they're in yer mind 24/7?"
"'tsumu–"
"everytime you see 'em with someone you kinda just get mad?"
"oi, will you calm down and stop cuttin' me off?!" osamu threw one of his pillow at the bunk beneath him where atsumu was.
"ow! no need to hit me i was just askin'!"
"if yer just askin' then ask me a question one by one!" the two began to shout, forgetting that it was already past midnight.
"will you two shut up?!" their mom shouted from the other room, irritated by her sons' argument.
atsumu threw the pillow back onto the top bunk. "alright alright i'll calm down!" he said in a softer tone.
osamu sighed in relief. "good. now what were you whinin' 'bout?"
atsumu bit his lip, a bit hesitant on telling his twin. he didn't know if osamu would just laugh at him or actually take him seriously. "let's say that, if yer thinkin' 'bout someone. constantly."
"ahuh." osamu nods, listening to his twin's ranting.
"and you can't help but ta feel... a bit annoyed at people who act all close with them."
osamu raised his brow, having a feeling he knew what atsumu was talking about. "go on."
"is that normal?"
then it clicked. atsumu was talking about you, there can't be any other person he was talking about. osamu smirked to himself, feeling a bit triumphant that his brother actually felt that way for someone after such a long time.
"well, brother, i think yer gonna have to figure this one out on yer own." was all the grey haired teen said before closing his eyes, ignoring all of atsumu's whines completely and falling back to sleep.
it was the morning after the "date" you had atsumu. you had already dressed into your uniform, ready to go to school. you were just waiting for takeru to tie his shoes.
"come on takeru we're gonna be late."
"okay okay i'm done!" once he tied his laces he bursts out the front door, ready to greet the blonde who was already waiting at the front of your house.

"ohayo atsumu-kun!" takeru waved at him.
"ohayo takeru-kun." atsumu waved back at the smaller boy.
when you finally locked the door you walked towards the two males, eyeing the taller one in particular. "atsumu, you okay?" you noticed the dark circles under his eyes, a clear sign that he didn't get much sleep.
"of course i am." he said, yawning soon after. "i'm perfectly fine."
the three of you walked to school, takeru being ahead of you and atsumu. "didn't get much sleep i suppose?" you teased.
he frowns, not wanting to admit that it was actually because of you. "couldn't even if i wanted to."
a couple of minutes later, you dropped off takeru. soon, you arrived at inarizaki as well. while walking beside atsumu, you began to notice that there were more stares today than ever. you thought you were already getting the hang of it, but you still can't help but to feel uncomfortable with it.
you gripped your bag tighter, looking down at the ground to avoid any eye contact. atsumu noticed this and wondered, "everythin' okay?"
"yeah, everything's fine." you replied, not wanting to talk about it any further.
atsumu dropped you off to your room, where the only person you saw there was yuki. she immediately greets you with a wide smile.
"ohayo [Y/N]-chan!"
"ohayo, yuki-chii." you greet back. you were still at the entrance of the room, but yuki couldn't wait for you to talk about what happened yesterday.
"so, how was the date?" she wiggled her brows, a smug smirk replacing her toothy grin.
"it wasn't a date yuki..." you sighed, not understanding why she was so excited about it. "may i remind you that it's not real? no need to be excited about it." you chuckled.
"oh come on you two have been all lovey dovey there's no way it's still fake!" she pouts, feeling a bit disappointed.
"hey– i thought you were against atsumu?" you furrowed your brows, remembering what she told you back at the court when you watched the volleyball club play for the first time.
"hmm, did i?" she acted oblivious, which was obviously an act you caught on to. "anyway i–"

before yuki could continue with her statement, she saw someone peeking from behind you in the corner of her eyes. "hey!" she called out to the figure, but it was too late. when yuki rushed out of the room, the person was already running away.
"what was that all about?" you followed yuki outside.
"she... she heard." yuki said, her voice a bit shaky.
"...who, heard?" you suddenly felt nervous. someone had heard about it, they know the relationship you and atsumu had.
yuki slowly turns around to face you then gulping before she said, "heather."
"that's it for today class. please don't forget to do your homework okay?" the class murmured their yeses with nods before hearing the bell ringing, signaling that it was already lunch time.
"[Y/N]-chan. [Y/N]-chan! snap out of it!" yuki shook your shoulders, hoping she'd stop you from spacing out.
"w-what?" you blinked, not realizing how much time has passed.
"it's already time for lunch, you've been in a daze since earlier. are you alright?" yuki frowned, knowing you were still thinking of what happened.
"no, i'm not..." you placed your head at your table, groaning in annoyance. "i feel sick."
"sick? should i get you medicine–"
"i mean... i feel nervous, i feel like i'm gonna vomit any time now." you felt your stomach churning, your hands cold and sweaty. your heart was beating so fast from all the thoughts you've had in your head since this morning and you couldn't figure out how to solve it.
"i'm sure she won't talk about it... right?" yuki laughed awkwardly, trying to lighten up the mood.
"god knows what atsumu's gonna do if he finds out." you lifted your head back up to look at your friend who has a worried expression painted on her face. "it's not your fault yuki..."
"it partially is [Y/N]. if only i didn't ask you about it then–" she starts to ramble, her gaze tearing away from you from guilt.
"it's fine, i'll just talk about it with atsumu." you scratched your head, not actually knowing how you'd tell him about it.
"talk to me 'bout what?"
you and yuki yelped in surprise when a new voice spoke behind you two. it was atsumu who casually strolled in the room, sipping a carton of juice. he rose his brow, a bit suspicious of how you and yuki were acting.
"u-uhm... about– uh..." yuki stuttered, beads of sweat started to drip down from her forehead.
"it's... uh..." you copied her actions soon after, the two of you couldn't even look at him in the eye.
atsumu frowns, knowing you were hiding something. "tell me while we're havin' lunch. i suppose yer eatin' with yer brother?" he asked yuki.
"o-oh! right! well then, i'll see you two later!" yuki bolts out of the room without hesitation, leaving you alone with atsumu.
"so, let's go?" he pulls out his hand for you to hold. you gulped, fearing what he might say once you told him. you grab a hold of his hand and stood up from your chair.
"yer hands are sweaty."
"you're imagining things."
"yer hands are cold."
"it's... freezing."
atsumu deadpanned, seeing through your lies. "are you gonna tell me or not?"
"t-tell you what?" you stared straight ahead as you walked, ignoring the holes he's burning through the side of your head.
"yer a really bad liar y'know." he looks away from you. while walking towards the cafeteria, the both of you saw a little crowd forming down the hallway.
"what's goin' on?" atsumu questioned when he saw the amount of people that were huddled in such a narrow hallway.
"n-no clue..." you wished it wasn't related to what happened this morning. you tighten the grip on atsumu's hand, the nervousness in you getting worse.
"speaking of the star couple." in the middle of the crowd you saw a redhead making her way towards the front, the sea of people breaking apart just from her stepping out of the group.
"whaddya want now heather?" atsumu asked in an annoyed tone. he didn't want to deal with heather yet again.
"i'm here to tell everyone the truth, atsumu miya and [Y/N] [L/N]." heather smirks, her green eyes giving you a quick glance before taking a step closer towards you.
