Flashback
A chalk flew across the room and hit Can on the head and made him woke up from his sleep. Everyone laughed as Can tried to hide his embarrass face using his textbook.
The teacher, Mrs. Honey, stood beside her chalkboard looking at Can.
Mrs. Honey - Can, I can see you. No need to hide.
Can slowly laid down his textbook.
Mrs. Honey - detention after school.
Can - (stood up from his chair) but-
Mrs. Honey - no buts! And sit back down.
Can - (sighed in frustration) o- okay...
After school, Can was sitting in detention while Mrs. Honey passed a math assignment to him.
Mrs. Honey - finish this and then you can go.
Can - okay...
5 minutes passed, a student appeared at the door and Mrs. Honey surprisingly welcomed him
Mrs. Honey - I didn't know that you could make it, you didn't have to come.
Tin - (sat on a desk completely opposite from Can.) But I'm here, aren't I?
Mrs. Honey - (laughed awkwardly) oh yes you are!
Can shot a glance at the teacher. What's so special about this student that made her so bubbly.
Tin just rolled his eyes away.
Mrs. Honey placed the same math assignment on Tin's desk.
Mrs. Honey - there you go. You don't have to finish it and you can leave whenever you feel like it. Okay?
Can gawked at the teacher.
Can - Mrs. Honey, are you being possess?
Mrs. Honey gave Can a warning look and turned to smile at Tin. She then went back to sat on her desk.
A moment passed, Mrs. Honey went to the restroom right at the moment she had a phone call so that kept her busy for at least 20 minutes.
Tin stood up from his chair and about to head out.

Can - (eyed Tin.) Hey friend, are you done?
Tin - yeah. (Didn't bother to turn to Can)
Can - (surprised) wow, really? That's awesome! You're so smart. Can you help me then?
Tin rolled his eyes. There it goes again, someone wants to copy his answers. It seems like Tin will never get away from asking for answers.
Tin - NO. (Said it with a low tone.)
Can - oh come on, please! Just teach me how to do it.
Tin - (crushed his eyebrows and turned to Can.) teach?
Can - (nodded happily) yeah!
Tin - you want me to teach you? (Can nodded again.) You're funny, why ask me to teach when you can just ask for the answers?
Can - (frowned) its not good to plagiarism. Those people who just want answers, they're lazy and you shouldn't put your time on them. BUT I'm totally different, I wanna be smart so please teach me? (Place his hands together to plead.)
Tin looked deeply into Can's eyes and he sees nothing but an innocent kid.
Can suddenly remember something and checked the time on his watch.
Can - oh god!
He quickly sat up and packed his stuff while Tin looked at him in confuse.
Can - I got to go!
Tin - but you haven't finished your assignment.
Can - nah, I can deal with it later. I'm late for work.
Tin - work?
Can ran passed Tin as Tin followed behind.
Tin - but Mrs. Honey said-
Can - I know but I can deal with her tomorrow. See ya!
Tin stopped and watched Can ran out the door but to his surprise, Can peeked his head back in.
Can - dude, you're going to teach me how to do those problems right? I'm counting on you!

Then he left.
Tin was walking home feeling weird and angry. He has never let anyone tell him what to do and that kid in detention class just blew his comfort zone. Do that kid even know who he is? He is Tin, the richest student of all and people fear him the most. How could someone like him not know who he is?
Tin came across a wallet chilling on the ground. He picked it up and looked around to see if there's anyone looking for it. Apparently no, so he stepped inside a grocery store nearby.
Ding...
The sound of the door rang.
The employee was in the middle of stocking and when he heard the door, he quickly shows himself.
Employee - Hello, welcome!
Tin - Hi, I found this wallet---
Tin froze at the sight of Can. Can looked at Tin with bright eyes.

The Queen of School
Hi there, my name is Jason Corvus, you can call me Raven. My parents really (like a lot) wanted to have a boy, so when they found out that I was a girl, they still put me a boyish name. When my father was alive he always wanted to go to Tyndall Quantic Soren high school, but to the common people it was known as an elite school, but in reality, it is a school for those who are more than simple humans. My mother told me to fulfill his last wish and go to that school, but I am not that excited about it. Well, whatever. This time things seem more complicated than before, and I have no idea how long this time will last.

Eliot Ness for Mayor
An everyman tests his mettle when a Voodoo god, in the guise of a kindly crackpot, thrusts him back in time and into a violent riot. Ironworker Frank O'Brien digs his life: great wife, tight family, and a job he loves, raising skyscrapers for a firm whose owner he respects. Smooth going until his boss, the owner's grandson, stirs racial and labor tensions. Soon, Frank's fighting the good fight, and standing tall seems to work. He even manages a few allies until a Voodoo god mucks up the works, knocking Frank back to 1966 and into the center of Cleveland's Hough riots to test his mettle. Needless to say, getting back to see his little girl's youth orchestra recital's gonna be a bitch. ELIOT NESS FOR MAYOR is a short novel of magical-realist fiction, a stand-alone book in the Shantytown Cycle. Written for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I will be posting revisions as I complete them and should be done by early 2022, though I am making major changes so the timing may be longer. This book is cross-posted on two websites: Wattpad and Royal Road. Both are reputable, high-quality sites. Do not trust this book on other websites. They "scrape" material from reputable sites, posting the stolen material as an original to lure users in, but contain links that include malicious code.
