Tin couldn't take any more of this nonsense. He punched Tul so hard, Tul flew to the ground.

Tin - is this what you want? I literally come all the way here just to see you cry, begging me to throw a fucking blowup. Just see how ridiculous this is!

Tul - (the side of his mouth turned purple) Tin...

Tin - I really hate you, I really am... .but I will forgive you. I have put sister-in-law and Mia in such a pain for so long now, it's time I have to repay them back. This is the least I can do...but that doesn't mean the history will also fade. They'll still be there...like the marks on my body.

Tul - (shook his head) but I don't deserve this.

Tin - either you like it or not, I'm not the one to decide your punishment. Just take good care of your family, that's all I'm asking you.

Tin turned away and began walking.

Tul - you're here because of Can, right?

That stopped Tin from walking and turned back to look at Tul.

Tin - what?

Tul - did Can tell you to forgive us?

Tin - no one tells me to do anything.

Tul - Can, he is such a peaceful guy. If it weren't for him, mother would have suicide. In fact, he saved us all.

Somehow the last sentence made Tin's heart go wild. And now all he wanted in the world was to know what Tul was talking about.

Flashback:

Can opened the door and frowned at a certain someone.

Can - you again?

Tul - (nodded) yes.

Can - dude this is like a thousand times already! Like I told you before, I'm not going to say it again!

Tul - please, my mother is in the hospital. she's been crying all day she won't eat anything. Will you please come to the hospital, please?

Can - what does that have anything to do with me?

Tul - maybe if she sees you; she would eat. look, my mom, she misses Tin a lot and if she sees someone that was with Tin when Tin was gone, maybe she will be happy.

Can stare at him, half thinking should he go, half thinking should he not. But his concern about Tin's mother has won out.

Can - okay. (Look away, trying to show that he doesn't want to go) now?

Tul smiled happily.

Tul - Yes. If that would be possible.

Can didn't make any eye contact and just walked upstairs.

Can - let me go get my stuff.

*** When they arrived at the hospital, Can followed Tul to a room where Tul's mother was in.

Mr. Vich was there with a bunch of nurses, trying to calm down his wife. Can was in shock, he didn't know things would be such a mess just for not telling where Tin is. The nurses pinned Mrs. Vich to the bed and shot her with a needle on her forearm. When the medication spread inside of her, she slowly cools down.

Tul - (walked to his father with a worried face) what happened this time?

Mr. Vich just shook his head.

Mr. Vich - same. All she wanted was for me to bring Tin back. (Turned to Tul) where have you been?

Tul says nothing but just gestured his eyes to Can. When Mr. Vich sees him, his eyes went unsteady.

When the nurses were gone, Can was the only one sitting in the sight of Mrs. Vich. Tul and his dad were in a corner of the room, hoping to see if Can can actually make her eat.

Mrs. Vich - (stared at Can deeply) Tin... is that you, son?

Can coughed. The words brought with her almost give Can a heart attack.

Can - no, umm... I'm not.

Mrs. Vich - then who are you?

Can looked at her. She seemed to be out of it, like a crazy person.

Can - I'm Tin's friend. My name is Can.

A sudden smile appeared on her face.

Mrs. Vich - is my son living with you? He hasn't come home for so long. I miss him.

Can - (wavered his eyes, tried to think) umm... no...

Mrs. Vich began to cry and Can quickly grabbed a couple of nakins on the table and handed it to her.

Can - don't cry.

Mrs. Vich - is he at the bottom of the ocean now? that's what everybody has been saying...

Can's lower lip trembled slightly.

Can - you know when he was kidnapped... I was kidnapped along with him.

The room went silent. Can could feel the curiosity hummed through Mrs. Vich as she stared at him.

Mrs. Vich - if that's the case then... you are here but where is my son?

Can gulped, not sure of what to tell.

Can - if... (found the porridge on the desk that Mrs. Vich refused to eat.) If you...(grabbed the porridge and scooped some on the spoon and aimed it to her) if you eat, then I will tell you.

***After Mrs. Vich finished eating, she went to sleep. Can walked out of the room followed by Tul and Mr. Vich.

Tul - thank you, Can.

Can turned back to face them. His eyes went straight to Mr. Vich. Mr. Vich met his eyes also and Can could see the shamefulness in his eyes.

Can - no problem.

This time, Mr. Vich looked down, not able to maintain eye contact. Sudden anger burned across Can's face. Shouldn't he at least say something? Thank him maybe?...

Can scoffed and turned away. He shouldn't expect much of Tin's dad at all.

Tul - dad!

Can turned back and found Mr. Vich... kneeling while looking up to Can. He had teary-eyed and was crying his heart out. The whole hallway had this intense feeling as all eyes were on them, even some of the nurses and doctors stopped by.

Can - what are you doing?

Tul tried to lift his dad up but his dad refused to. But not going to lie, he also feels like he should be doing what his dad is doing right now too. So he knelt down also, facing Can.

Can gave them a "no way" look. He rushed to them and told to stand up.

Mr. Vich - this is my gratitude for saving my wife. She hasn't eaten for a considerable length of time. Much thanks to you. I'm upset for abusing you on the first occasion when I met you.

Can - okay, I get it! Stand up!

Tul - thank you, Can.

The two of them were so calm and emotional but Can was the opposite. He distressed at the two older guys kneeling in front him and everyone is watching!

Mr. Vich - I'm not going to ask you where my son is... I just wanted you to know that I won't stop looking for him until I find him, even if it's his dead body.

Can sighed heavily. He can see it now that Tin's family regret everything they did to Tin. But Tin won't like it if they found him and forced him to come back. He knows that Tin is not ready for a reunion.

Can - stop looking for him.

Mr. Vich and Tul looked confused and feeling anguish.

Tul - what do you mean?

Can - what I mean is I won't be here if someone didn't save me when I was tossed into the sea. I don't have a clue how to swim... And there is only one person in the water with me.

Mr. Vich - (his heart was racing) It's Tin... he's alive...

Tul - you're not lying, right?

Can - that's all I'm going to say. Believe it or not, it's all on you.

End of flashback

Tul - Even though he didn't say much but he gives us enough info that you are still alive. That's enough for us. After that, every once a week, he'll come by and visit our mother. We live on day after day, hoping that you will be back.

Tin clenched his knuckles so tight until it turned white. In the past, he thought if he disappeared, everything will be alright. But it's nothing like that at all. And the least he wanted is to involved Can in it.

Tin - I want to see mother now.
