*Flashback*

*** Tin - hello Mr. Fah, my name is Tin.

After Tin arrived in Bangkok, he went straight to Can's parents house. He knew he shouldn't show up out of the blue like that but he couldn't stop himself. He wants to introduce him in person.

Mr. Fah was utterly shocked to see this young man was the boy who got kidnapped with Can four years ago.

Mr. Fah - So you're Tin?

Tin nodded.

They sat down up at in a balcony. A maid appeared and placed two water cups on the table.

Mr. Fah - Wow... It must be a miracle. I'm just glad that you are alive and healthy. All these years my son has been looking for you. Did he ever get a chance to see you?

Tin - I wouldn't be here if I haven't seen him.

Mr. Fah smiled but Tin could see his eyes were not delighted.

Mr. Fah - That's good then... He must be very happy. After he took over the company, I hardly see him around. It's good to know that he's doing fine.

Tin looked confused. Ever since he know Can, Can was always all out for his father. What happened?

Tin - You have no idea where he is right now?

Mr. Fah shook his head.

Tin - (straighten himself from laying back on the chair.) I'm sorry you must have been worried sick about him.

Tin - Is he…

Tin - He stays in Chiang Mai at the moment. He'll come back home next week.

Mr. Fah - (eyes stuck to Tin) oh… I see...

Tin could feel a slight attitude coming from Mr. Fah when he said that.

Mr. Fah - Is Chiang Mai where you live?

Tin nodded again.

Mr. Fah stared deep into Tin's soul for the longest time and somehow Tin felt like he was being judged and looked down upon.

Mr. Fah - I never would have thought the situation happened because of jealousy.

Great. Tin should've figured the situation would come to this. It's normal for Mr. Fah to think Tin was the fault of why the kidnap happened but Tin didn't think he would slap it right on the table.

Mr. Fah - I heard you are one of the few people who bullied my son. If not then you would still be friends with Larry and my son wouldn't have been kidnapped. What so special about you?

Tin - special enough for the jealousy to start I guess. (Doesn't give a damn of how awful he sounded) but I wouldn't call myself 'special.' (Leaned forward) Mr. Fah, the moment I met Can, his gentle heart saved me from who I am. He has made me the caring person I have become. He really came through for me when my family was falling. Can he's… (smiled) he is my world.

Mr. Fah's eyes soften as he holds eye contact.

Tin - I'm not special. He is. I want to make sure that you know that.

Mr. Fah - Of course I know that. (Looked away) I'm sorry for what Larry did.

Tin - Please do not say sorry in his place. That's the last thing I needed from you.

Mr. Fah - He tried to kill my son… he had no idea how cruel the world can be. When he told me that you two are dead, I didn't know what to think. I hated myself even more because I couldn't find myself to hate him. I should hate him for what he's done. I should be the most furious at him!.. but I couldn't... (Spoke with torrid) When seeing him being sorry than he already is, I couldn't bring myself to be that person. He didn't know he was playing with fire. When it actually hits him, he punished himself almost to death. He couldn't eat. He locked himself in his room. He cried every single day. And then it comes down to me... I'm the father, what should I do? should I just let him suffer and die? He's just a lost child so of course, I have to help him. Can wasn't there, he didn't see what I have to see… and yet he still will not forgive me. Do you get what I'm trying to say here?

Tin stared at him in awe. This dad… he doesn't treasure who he cares for…

Tin - Again, Mr. Fah. Do you know that Can is special?

Mr. Fah - (confused) yes, I know that. What does that have to do with this? (Anger tone)

Tin - (shook his head) I don't think you know.

Mr. Fah - what? Are you telling me I should just leave Larry there and die? I'm a father, I can't do that! Even if Larry deserves it so much, it's not his fault! Can needs to understand that!

Tin - you are a father indeed. And a father has to treat their children equally. From what I'm hearing from you, you put more effort and time into the relationship between you and Larry.

Mr. Fah finally dropped his anger and widen his eyes.

Tin - Can is the kind of person who likes to give people the benefit of the doubt and he pushes those signs under the rug everytime he feels it. You do know that about him, right?

The question ached Mr. Fah brutally.

Tin - he fought against false rumors about you. He even went to live on his own so you could be happy with your wife. He did everything for you. Do you really think he would be happy when he fought his way back from the dead-- just so he can see you again-- but to hear you beg for Larry's forgiveness?

It all went shatter on Mr. Fah. He finally realized it now. The pictures were so clear.

Tin - (Stood up from sitting) I get it why Can push you away. You use him for your benefit only and don't give a shit about how he feels. (Deep breath) I'm sorry for being rude. But I'm pretty sure Can only wants love and effort. That's all he wants.

Tin began to walk away but stop as he was five feet away.

Tin - I didn't come here to have a fight with you, sir. I come here to tell you I'm in love with your son…and he's in love with me. I hope you have a good day.

Then Tin was gone.

Mr. Fah didn't leave his eyes from where Tin sat. A moment later, he smiled and a tear escape from his eyes.

Mr. Fah - I'm glad you found someone who loves and understands you, Can.

End of flashback

Can - how did you know about me and my father?

Tin - he's the first person I went to meet when I arrived here in Bangkok.

Can - you went to see my father?! And you didn't tell me?!

Tin was watching Can who was furious in rage.

Tin - it's one of the reasons why I came here in the first place.

Can - dude! (About to burst out but he kept it in) okay… (took a deep breath) I need to calm down. Maybe it's not what I think it is.

Tin - (leaned in closer to Can's face and made Can back away in panic.) What are you thinking?

Can - (mouth trembled) N-nothing.

Tin - (pulled Can closer to him and locked him in his gaze) Really? Then what is the reason you think I came to see him for?

Can's eyes grew large and his heart dropped immediately.

Can - please don't tell me… you…

Tin - (chuckled playfully) I… came to tell him… that I'm in… love…

Can - no.

Tin - (smirked) with…

Then Can covered Tin's mouth with his hands but he did it so hard, it ended with a loud slap.

Tin - Oyyy! (Groaned in between Can's palms.)

Can - No you didn't!

Tin - (tilted his face to the side to escape from Can's aggressive palms) I told him I'm in love with you and you're in love with me!

Tin spoke rapidly before he couldn't have the chance anymore and Can, on the other hand, stepped away from Tin entirely and face went completely red.

Can - Ai Tin! You! (Covered his embarrassing face with one hand) arrgg… I hate you!

Tin stepped closer and removed Can's hand from his face.

Tin - Are you mad?

Can - (looked away) not really… it just…

Tin - (move to where he could see Can's face) it just what?

Can - I'm just… not ready for him to know about us.

A regret face showed upon Tin.

Tin - oh… I should have wait then.

Can - no, Tin, I… (scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, hating to see Tin like this) I'm sorry. I'm just a little embarrassed at the moment.

Then a cheeky grin appeared on Tin's face.

Can - so what did he say? (Feeling a little nervous)

Tin - hmm… (folded his arm to do some thinking) he wasn't surprised actually. It looks like he already knew about it.

Can - (gawked shockingly) hah? When? How?

Tin - you desperately searched for me all these years and of course everyone would doubt that you have no feelings for me.

Can looked completely dump now but not for long. A few seconds later, Can smiled brightly.

Can - good then! That means I don't have to tell anybody, right?

Tin - (laughed at Can's humor) you're such a dummy.

Can couldn't help it but laughed too. At first, he wasn't sure how his father would handle it but after listening to Tin, he finally felt relief now.

Tin - So are you still mad at your dad?

Can got silent as he felt Tin warm touch on his shoulder.

Can - (shook his head) I was never mad at him. He was still the best father I ever have. I guess I got a little jealous of Larry... which I shouldn't be. He's our father now...but I was being childish and wanted father all to myself… just like how it used to be. I got carried away and it just sort of drifted us apart. I didn't know how to confront him so I just let it be.

Tin pulled Can into a hug.

Tin - No dummy, why are you blaming yourself? Anybody would feel the same if they were in your shoes… maybe worse.

Can hugged Tin back.

Can - Thanks.

Tin - Everything's going to be fine now, I promise.

Then Can's stomach growled.

Tin - (stepped back and looked at Can) hmm?

Can - It's your fault that I haven't eaten.

Tin - Silly, let's go eat the BBQ outside.

Tin slapped Can on the butt and Can jerked him on the collar.

Can - stop it! It hurts!

Mia - Uncle Tin!

Can quickly let go of Tin and they looked toward Mia. Mia was still holding Teen's hand.

Tin - Teen. (Gave him a playful warning glare) let go of my niece.

Teen - (shook his head) It is decided. I'm going to marry Mia when I grow up!

Can choked and Tin's eyes grew large like it was going to pop out of his face.

Tin - You what?!

Mia - I want Teen to be my husband. So uncle Tin, I won't let you take him away! (Hold onto Teen's arm so tight.) Please don't take him back to Chiang Mai!

Tin - Mia, you are too young to even think about that stuff.

Then he heard a soft chuckle coming from Can.

Can - Wow...

Tin - (looked at Can confused) Can?

Can - That's my girl! Claim your man, Mia! Show your uncle Tin how it's done!

Tin - Can!

Tin couldn't believe Can. He was supposed to help him, not encouraging them even more!

Tul walked inside from the backyard.

Tin - do you know what your daughter just said?

Tul - (nodded) yeah, she said she's going to marry Teen and I allowed it.

Tin - What?!

Tul - I'm okay with everything as long as Mia is happy. (Replied in a teasing voice at Tin)

Mia - (smiled brightly) thank you, dad!

Tin looked at Can and Can was already standing beside Mia and Teen.

Can - (leaned down to Mia) Should I marry your uncle Tin too so he wouldn't leave.

Mia - Yes! That would be awesome!!!

Tin shook his head in disbelief.

***3 months passed***

Can was sitting in his office, looking over some papers while talking on the phone with Tin.

Can - Hurg, busy as always. So how is Chiang Mai over there?

Tin - is actually going well. A lot of new elderly starting to treat the shelter like home. It's been a blessing.

Can - (smiled) I happy then. Well lucky you, I have to stick here, reevaluate hundreds of companies, asking for a merge. (Flipping through pages.) Not one caught my eye though. (His eyes caught a company's name on one of the pages) hm?

Tin - what is it?

Can - (read the company's name) "Where the heart is" home for all.

Tin - Oooohh… sound interesting.

Can - (scoffed) I thought I rejected this one already. How come it's still here? Hurg… (flipped to another page.) Not interested.

Tin - are you sure?

Can - yes. (The next page is the same page.) What? (Flipped on the next page and it's the same company's name again. And the next. And the next.) Dude, Tin! Not gonna lie, this company is desperate! This whole merger papers all belong to this 'heart is home' whatever the name is!

Tin - It's called '"Where the Heart Is" Home for All"

Can - yeah, that name. Damn, I need to call them and rejected them by myself so they would stop bothering me.

Tin - but they might really want to do business with you, Can.

Can - they are too desperate for my taste. I'll call you later, Tin.

Tin - (sighed) oookay then…

Can ended the call and called the number on the paper. He waited for the ring and it did.

Then there was a beep sound on the other line. Someone just answered it.

Can - Hi, I would like to speak to the owner of the company "Where the Heart is?"

-you really going to reject me, Can?

Can's heart dropped. That voice was Tin's!

Then the door opened and Tin stood at the door, holding the phone to his ear. He looked at Can with an unhappy face.

Can froze. He just stared at Tin with the phone to his ear with an unbelievable face.

Tin - you hurt my heart, you know that?

Can - (finally spoke after a thousand seconds passed.) Tin… how come I can hear your voice through the phone?

Tin - well duh, you're the one who called my company's number.

Can - (dropped his phone) huh?

Tin - (closed the door and opened his arms wide, wanting a hug.) are you just going to sit there?

Can - (stood up and walked to hug Tin, still in his mental state.) Whoa… (could feel Tin's touch) It IS you.

Tin - (laughed) wake up, Can.

After a few minutes passed, Can finally realized what is going on.

Can - when did you get here?

Tin - if I tell you, it wouldn't be a surprise, right?

Can stuck his bottom lips out and frown.

Can - well, you got me.

Tin - (kissed Can on the forehead) so… about that company.

Can - (grabbed onto Tin's hand and gripped it tightly.) Yes! Yes! I will merge with you!

Tin - (raised an eyebrow) really? No second thoughts?

Can - (shook his head) No! (Smiled brightly and hugged tin so tight) we are going to work together now! I can see you all day now! I'm so happy!

Tin - silly, I'm still going to live in Chiang Mai.

Can - (let go of Tin as he thought of something.) Then I'll move over there and Larry can work here.

Tin - (shrugged) suit yourself. Can't really stop you, can I? Oh, speaking of Larry, when is his wedding?

Can - (shook his head) I told him to wait.

Tin - (confused) why?

Can - it's too soon for him. He just met his girlfriend two months ago. I don't know, I think it's too soon.

Tin - aww… (teased) so cute of you worrying about your brother like that.

Can - Wrong! (Rolled his eyes) I just want to make sure he knows who he likes. I don't want him to regret later on and I don't want to feel sorry for his girlfriend either. Remember he used to like you, who would have thought he would go like a girl all of it sudden.

Tin - you're so cute! (Kissed Can on the cheek as Can attempted to push him away.)

Can - stop kissing me! We are at work!

Tin - (leaned in for another) I can't help it, you're too adorable!

Can turned to catch Tin's kiss with his lips and caught Tin by surprise.

Tin - that was unexpected.

Can - (smiled) thank you.

Tin - for?

Can - my father has been showing his face at my work. He's been visiting. I like it.

Tin - but I didn't do anything.

Can - (gently elbowed Tin the chest) nice try. I know you did something.

Can turned to look at Tin and see him looking back. This is it… exactly how they like it. The understanding and needs are there. Even if one doesn't know himself, the others will.

Can - you're beautiful all the time.

Tin couldn't help it but smile.

Tin - it's kind of cheesy but I'll accept it.

Can scoffed.

Tin - (leaned to whisper in Can's ear.) And you're my rainbow.

Can - (jerked away) that's cheesier!
