"Another lap!" P'Type, who is in the middle of the field with crossed arms watching us run, shouts.
"More? I'm about to die!" Ae answers while running next to me, I can't even speak, I can hardly breathe and my legs ask me to just lay in to the ground like my friend Good who after two laps, fell down and is still there laying down in the ground.
"Try not to step on Ai'Good," Says another boy wrapped in sweat running in my side. "P'Type will surely scoop up his body when we finish."
"Hell! I can't take it anymore!" I scream and my feet slow down to stop.
"You better think twice, Can, before stopping!" The demon we have as a coach yells at me and then suddenly, I get the strength from I don't know where from and I regain some speed again.
After all, I can live without legs, which is more than I will loose if I piss off Type.
"Where are you P'No? Why don't you come to save us?"
"You can stop!" Shouts another person who has approached us, my still cloudy vision distinguishes who it was perfectly.
P'No! My savior!
I stop like everyone else and quickly drop my body to the ground while trying to normalize my breathing.
"I'm sorry I'm late." Techno says while approaching us. "My motorcycle had a problem which was weird, yesterday it was running perfectly."
"How did you get here?" Type asks.
"To my luck, I ran into a friend of Technic who offered to help me, I don't understand how my evil brother has such kind friends."
"You shouldn't have bothered to come, I had everything under control."
"Under control? You almost killed us!" Ae says, his face is no longer red like a tomato, although it is covered with sweat and his breathing is still hard.
"There were only 3 laps." Type responds.
"15!" I scream as I feel as if my lung is coming out of my mouth.
"That's too much Type, even for us." Techno says. "And why is Good on the floor? How long has he been lying there?"
"About half an hour," I say.
"And you didn't go to see how he was?" Techno asks that demon who just turns his face to the side.
"I thought he was meditating..."
"Hell, Type!" Yells P'No and then went to Good and check on him.
"Take it as a prize for having won the interfaculties tournament in the camp, I planned to make it 20 laps." Type says smiling to us and then followed Techno.
"This is the award for winning?" I asked, puzzled because this seems more like a punishment than a reward.
"I don't want to imagine what would have happened to us if we had lost." Ae says as he helps me to get up.
"Hm..." I only nodded.
Tomorrow, I'm sure that my legs will hurt like hell.

"What are we waiting for?" Says Pond, his stomach producing grumbling sounds as he covers it.
Well, I'm also starving right now, both from hunger and exhaustion.
"For Pete. I told him we would wait for him to eat."
"And I assume that Pete is the dessert...or is he the main dish?" Pond answers with a wide smile, a smile that disappears when he is hit on the head by our friend.
At that moment, I see Pete's car arrive on campus and park, I smile when I see him get off and walk towards us, only that Ae arrives first to greet him. My smile was replaced by shock when I see that a second car has parked behind Pete's, a car that I know too well but I don't know why it is here.

I can feel Pond's arm round my shoulders as he pulled me closer.
"Your sd made his appearance." He says smiling.
"Sugar Daddy? What is that?" I ask confused as I see Tin get out of the car and look in a strange way towards where I am and Pond's arm tensing on my back.
"I better get away if I want to continue living." He says and I see how he walks backwards with his hands raised in surrender.
Tin approaches me, his eyes looks at me from top to bottom until they finally settle on my neck, right at the mark he has left and which has not yet erased.
Today in the morning I woke up a little worried, I hope the mark is not permanent.
Why are you looking at me like that? You make me nervous...
"W...What are you doing here?" I ask lowering my head a little. I see Pete and Ae pass by our side, Ae's eyes fixed on Tin and then on me.
"Can...is everything okay?"
"Yes." I answer, I think I am a little blushing because my cheeks are heating up, I hope nobody notices them.
"Then we will wait for you at the table." Answers my friend and then walk away with everyone else.
"I came to see you." Tin says once we are alone and the heat of my cheeks increases.
So direct...
"Oh...well here I am." I answer, my hands play with the edges of my uniform.
"Let's eat." He answers with a firm voice.
"We can go with my friends." I say and raised my head to see his face, he doesn't seem very happy with my proposal because he seems to tighten his jaw.
"I don't want to eat with your friends." He says coldly, too cold and annoying.
If you don't like my friends, how can I please you? My face transforms with discomfort with my cheeks puffed out.
"Then eat alone!" I mumbled and cross my arms as Tin tilts his head with his gaze lingers on me.
An internal battle rages between us, my posture stiff against his piercing eyes but I won't give in. We stay like this for quite some time until Tin sighs and his gaze changes.
"Okay...we'll eat with your friends."
He seems to have given up although he still doesn't like the idea, but my friends are my friends and I said I was going to eat with them, I need to keep my word.
"Good!" I answer, a smile forming on my face as II take Tin by his sleeve and direct him to the dining room with me in front.
***
Silence.
Nobody talks...and I don't understand why.
Pete eats very slowly while Good and Pond have barely touched their plates.
I look at Tin and see that he has entered a kind of staring competition with Ae, it seems like a fun game.
"I want to play too." I say and look at Pond fixedly.
"What are you doing?" He asks when he felt my heavy gaze at him.
"Playing..." But after a few seconds I feel pain in my eyes.
"Why did you bring him here?" Pond whispers close to my ears and very low.
"What? What's wrong with Tin?!" I asked, almost shouting, at that moment Tin turns his gaze to where I am and Pond seems to pale, looking as if he had seen a demon.
"Hahaha...friend I did not say that..." He answers with a laugh which sounds a little strange and nervous.

"Oh, you did not? Then I may have heard it wrong." I return to take another bite on the food in my plate. I have always liked Japanese food, it is fortunate that they served that today. Although looking at the plats of others, it seems that not everyone likes it.
Tin's tray hasn't even been touched either.
"Don't you like it?" I asked, casting a greedy look at the skewer of octopus and chicken in his plate, licking my lips as I feel the delicious aroma reach my nostrils.
"No...I only like Japanese gourmet food."
"Again speaking weird..." I say not understanding anything of his rich kid vocabulary.
"If you are not going to eat it, can you give it to me?" I feel the curious glances of some people and when I realize it, half the people in room is watching me.
"What? What is it?" I asked, confused.
"I can not believe it..."
"The ice king has been tamed..."
I think I hear murmurs in the distance, everyone is watching me, watching us, until Tin makes a gesture that forces the others to lower their heads and return to their activities.
Today, everyone acts weird.
***
The food sucks, the place is crawling with people and his pathetic friends at the same table.
Yes, a very bad idea.
However, I have found that it is difficult for me to refuse any of his ridiculous requests when he looks at me with those little hopeful eyes of his.
"Tin, it is nice of you to join us." Pete says, his words have an effect on Ae who looks at him in stun then turns his gaze to me, a look that radiates sparks of hatred.
"Too bad I can't say the same." I answer, pushing my plate to the side.
"Aren't you going to eat that?" Can asks with his puppy dog eyes.
"No, you can eat it if you want." I answer and he literally pounces on the plate, staining his shirt with sauce and the corner of his mouth is also smudged with remains of food.
It is weird that I like it.
Of course I have to educate him a bit, teach him to eat well, he needs to know what shame is, because clearly, he does not have a shred of it and I think he must also learn to read.
"I'm full!" He says when he has finally finished both his plate and mine.
"Okay, let's go." I say and I stand up.
"Where to?" He answers as he gets up heavily, but I keep walking before any of his friends decide to follow or accompany us.
"Hey! Don't walk so fast!" Can says reaching me, "My feet still hurt...where are we going?"
"I'll take you home." I answer, it was not my original idea but seeing him so exhausted, I think I can postpone my plans for tomorrow.
"Did you come here just to take me home...?"
"Hmm? Did you say something?"
"No, nothing." He says, I look at his face and see Can smiling shyly. When I get to the parking lot, I open the door and he gets in the car.
Along the way, all he did...is be Can.
"Then P'Type made us run almost 1000 kilometers, although I didn't feel it too much because I'm used to rigorous training, so when it finished it wasn't new...it was a piece of cake."
"I can eat 20 octopus skewers without vomiting, my maximum record was 25 skewers, although the next day, they had to admit me in the hospital because of food poisoning."
"The linear algebra teacher told me that I should pay more attention in class and not get so distracted by...oh look! That dog has a really funny haircut! And his paws are so big!...What was I saying earlier?"
"I was hospitalized twice for intoxication, although the second time, it was for fish skewers and I didn't even ate that many."
"Can..." I say out loud that made him silent but I do not dare to turn to see him, the nerves of what are going to be my next words have me to the veil, I gulp and gather courage.
"Tomorrow I'll pick you up and..." I cleared my throat, I get to a red light, and I stop my car. "...we will have a date."
I finally say and look at him...sleeping.
Can breathes slowly and gently, a trickle of saliva coming out of his mouth with his head slightly tilted downward.
He is clearly a heavy sleeper because nothing wakes him up for the rest of the trip and although calm and silence is something I like, when I am around him, I admit that I like listening to him speak better, even if it is just to say nonsense.
So I take this moment to take a small package out of my bad and put it in his backpack.
When we get to his house, I feel sorry to have to wake him...he sleeps so peacefully.
"Can, wake up." I say but nothing, he hasn't even move. "Can, we've arrived." I keep saying as I move him a little with my arm.
"Mmmm...no...I don't want to run anymore." He answers while making faces but is still asleep.
I get a little closer, pat his face and his eyes widen, our faces are very close and even though his exhausted face is a disaster and his lips still have traces of food, I am tempted to kiss them.
With my hand, I unbuckle my seat belt and once more kissed his lips as I take his sleepy face.
Can does not put up resistance at any time which makes it difficult for me to contain myself, so I let myself go, deepening the kiss, savoring every inch of his mouth.
Your sweet taste is all I need...
I feel how little by little Can responds to me, getting used to me, to my lips, to my daring way of kissing him and then I hear him moan, a moan that leaves me wanting for more, to listen to it constantly all the time.
Until I feel Can's arms on my shoulders exerting force and then he pulls away, taking distance from both of us.
Neither of us says anything, our breaths messy just like our clothes, his confused face with a pink hue to it.
"Thank you...thank you for bringing me!" He says, almost shouting and somewhat altered. I watch him grab his backpack and open the car door to get out and rush into his house.
I look forward, it is still difficult for me to reorder all my senses, it is still difficult for me to breathe normally.
"This boy will definitely be my downfall..."
***
What was that? Did I make that noise because I couldn't control it?
Embarrassing, too embarrassing, just remembering it makes my face turns red as a tomato.
I throw myself onto the bed and cover my face with the pillow but Tin's face is all I can see.
I know I have no one to compare with...but Tin kisses too well.
"Oii!" I exclaimed, tightening the pillow over my face.
Suddenly a strange music begins to play in my room, I roll the pillow, perplexed.
Where does that sound come from?
It seems to be a phone that rings. I approach where I hear it loudest and notice that it is near my backpack.
"It is possible that..." I open it and see a package inside it.
"This is not mine..." I say but the sound comes from there and when I unwrapped it, I see that it is an IPhone box, one so big and new that I don't even know what the model it is, but clearly it is not one of the old ones...I don't even know if it was released yet.
The call appears on the screen with the name "Tin" on it, so I answered it.
He said then cut the call.
"A date?...my ears are not plugged, did I heard it correctly?"
A note falls from the box directly to the ground, I pick it up and what I read are few but clear words,
"WHAT?" I scream helplessly as I stagger back processing everything, I touch the phone again just to check that I'm not dreaming...Tin really bought me an IPhone.
The screen lights up again and what I see in the background leaves me even more perplexed.
Tin is on my wallpaper!!!

Void Breaker
Note: Sadly, this story is currently on hiatus :( Elizabeth Sayler had lost everything in the bombing of Reaver Stadium. Her career, her fame, her power — all of it vanished the moment she lost use of her legs. Now, she's beginning to lose hope of ever healing herself… until her world integrates into the Void. When the apocalypse comes in a flurry of System messages, everyone on earth is given a choice: give up what they value most in themselves, and acquire a path to their heart’s greatest desire. Most would hesitate, but for Liz? She has nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Armed with newfound powers in a world teeming with monsters, she’s determined to not only survive, but to somehow break the Void’s endless assault. * * * This is a small note about the portrayal of disability in this story. As much research as I do and as many people as I ask, I will in the end only be able to understand a small portion of paraplegia and similar disabilities. Therefore, if there is anything particularly disrespectful, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always intended to portray disability in a respectful way in this story, but please know that Liz as a character does not start out with a healthy view of disability. This is intentional, and a large part of her character development comes from this view changing as she learns. Disability is not something she simply "discards" at the beginning of the story, but an ongoing theme and a part of her journey.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
