《Brunette》Part 35

It's been four days since Lauren and I talked about our relationship in high school and everything.
Today I have to actually cover all of my hickeys up because I'm trying on wedding dresses today.
"Babe when are you leaving?"Lauren asks wrapping her arms around me from behind.
"In like an hour,"I respond continuing to cover all of the marks on my arms, neck, and thighs.
"Why can't you just leave some uncovered?"She asks.
"Because when I'm picking a dress I don't want to try it on and have hickeys on my neck. I don't picture myself wearing the dress and having hickeys at our wedding,"I say.
Once I finish I put my makeup away.
"I mean you could,"She says and pecks my lips.
"Very funny, but no,"I say.
"Come on just one,"She says.
"No babe,"I say.
"Fine,"She groans.
"I'll uncover them after though okay?"
She smiles and nods.
"You dork,"I say and peck her lips.
"I'm your dork though,"She says.
"Yes you are,"
Once I finish covering all of the marks she left on my skin I sit down.
"Princess are you hungry?"Lauren asks.
"No I'm not,"I respond.
"Are you sure? You haven't eaten all day,"She says.
"Yeah I'm fine. I promise,"I say.
As she steps in front of me and looks into my eyes I sigh.
"Every thing is okay,"I say and grab her hands.
She kneels down and pecks my lips.
"Also you aren't aloud to watch out video on Tuesday because this is what's it about,"I say.
"Okay I won't watch it,"She says.
After few minutes there's a knock on the door.
I get up and open the door.
"What are you doing here?"I asked shocked.

I instantly wrap my arms around the figure.
"I couldn't miss watching my daughter try on dresses,"Mom says.
"It's been months,"I say.
"I know. Your dad wouldn't let me come he kept telling me that I can never come back. He was at work so I took the earliest flight,"She says.
"Dad doesn't know your here?"I ask.
"No,"She says.
"Babe who's at door?"Lauren asks since my mom hasn't stepped inside.
"Mom come in. Do you have any bags?"I ask.
"Yeah I'm staying at your Tia's and tio's house, I already dropped them off,"She says and walks in.
Lauren looks up and gets up.
She hugs my mom and my mom hugs her back.
"Hi Mrs. L/N,"She says pulling away from the hug.
"Hi Lauren. You're still taking good care my baby right?"She asks.
"I'm not a baby mom,"I say.
"You still are to me. And you always will be,"She says.
"So Lauren are you taking good care of her?"She asks Lauren again.
"Of course. I always will,"Lauren responds.
Mom looks at me.
"She has mom. I'm lucky I met her,"I say.
Lauren smiles and wraps her arms around me.
I smile and lean into her embrace.
"So what have you guys been doing since we left?"She asks.
"Nothing really. Just planning the wedding and hanging out with the family a lot,"I say.
"Are you stressed about it?"She asks.
"I mean yeah. I've had multiple panic attacks at first,"I say.
"What changed?"
"I told lauren why I was getting them and she helped me a few months ago and I haven't had one since then,"I say.
"Thank you Lauren. I'm sorry I couldn't be here when you needed me, but I'm happy you have Lauren to help you,"She says.

"Mom it's okay. I understand. You're here now that's all that matters. I know you couldn't come because of dad,"I say.
"I really am sorry. When he heard about your engagement his reaction took me by shock. He was always so supportive,"She says.
"Yeah. Has anything happened since then?"She asks.
"Lauren and I had a pretty bad argument. I ignored her for months and got close with Christina, it was the worst months of my life but we got over it,"I say.
"I'm sorry. If I would've known he wasn't supportive a long time ago I would've left him. The last thing you need is a dad that tells you your mistakes. I'm sorry,"She says.
"Mom it's fine it's not your fault,"I say.
"Also I want to talk to your sisters,"She says.
"Y/s/N and who else?"I ask.
"Not Y/s/N, Addison, Veronica, Vanessa. I want to tell them the truth about why we gave them up,"She says.
"You lies about that?"I ask.
"Sit down,"She says.
I sit down and Lauren looks at me then walks upstairs wanting to give me space.
"Explain,"I say.
"When the twins we born I was ready. They were first children. I obviously felt something. I was so ready to become a mother. I love them. But your dad he wanted me to abort them. I didn't want to. So he said if I give birth to then we're giving them up. I didn't want to take their lives. We knew there was a chance I would get pregnant. I know it's still terrible I chose to have them up, but I had to. I trusted you Tia so I chose her. She's wanted another child for years but she couldn't. That's why we gave the twins up. For Addison I gave her up because your dad said we can only have one kid. I don't know why I'm still even with him. He said I had to chose and I couldn't. He chose to keep you and give up Addison. I'm sorry Y/N if I could've just owned up told him I wanted to keep all of them you gurls wouldn't have been separated, I am so sorry,"She says.
"Mom I understand,"I say.
"It wasn't your fault. It was dads. He's the one that gave them up, not you,"I say.
"I'm sorry for all those times I yelled at you and said I wish I was the one with Tia, and for bringing up the girls when I got mad,"I say.
"It's fine. You didn't know,"She says.
I hear a car honk outside and Lauren comes downstairs.
"The girls are here,"I say.
"I'll be back in- actually I don't know how long it'll take,"I say.
She walks over and hugs me goodbye.
I get in the car and they look at my mom following.
"She'll answer your questions after,"I say.
Time to look for dresses.
With my sisters. Who don't like mom, fun.
