《KiyoKei fanfic (discontinued)》Chapter Eight

Karuizawa-san, just what is your relationship with Ayanokouji-kun?
You say that it's simply pity, yet you act different around him. More... vulnerable? It's weird, you were never like that when you were dating Hirata-kun. Perhaps you developed feelings for him after you turned him down and now you feel like you can't ask him out? Maybe you were already dating him without anyone knowing?
Whatever it is, I have to know. Not just for my curiosity, but also for you, so I can know whether or not Ayanokouji-kun is trustworthy.
Just what are you hiding?
That date took an unexpected turn, I didn't think that Matsushita would pry that much into things. Combined with Kei's poor acting, it didn't make things any better for us. It'll be alright though, I'm confident Matsushita won't leak any information she finds on us. Why? Because she is doing this for Kei's sake, and if this information were to be passed on to other's, it would make her life troublesome.
Ah jeez, I really messed that all up didn't I? I can't believe how terrible my acting was during all of that... but it's his fault for teasing me! Yeah, it's Kiyotaka's fault, not mine!
The next day was fast approaching, with the sun quickly setting. The 3 had already gone to bed awaiting what the next day of the school would hold for them.
I woke up and after getting ready, took the elevator to get to the first floor and exit the dormitory. On my way to school, I ran into Kei, who was with her friends. She kept giving me occasional glances, but eventually stopped after her friends questioned her about it. After that, I ran into Yousuke, who was coming to school a bit later than usual since he slightly overslept. Poor guy, he had to deal with Yamauchi and all those fan girls. It's alright Yousuke, you can do it I believe in you.

After a short walk with Yousuke to the class, we split up to get to our designated seats, after which Matsuhita tried to probe me for more answers about Kei and I, but ultimately failed after I shut down her questions. Shortly after that, Chabaeshira-sensei came in and started class. It was fairly normal, except for one thing. She kept sending occasional glances my way while in class, but not enough to catch the attention of the other students, she seemed to want to meet up after class.
"You are dismissed"
Class is now over, which means I can finally speak to him about things.
"Ayanokouji-kun" (Sae)
"Yes sensei?" (Kiyotaka)
"If possible, could you please come with me? I have important matters to discuss with you as soon as possible." (Sae)
"Alright, but please don't make it too long, I still have classes later." (Kiyotaka)
"Of course, it'll only take a moment of your time" (Sae)
"So what is it you wanted to talk to me about?" (Kiyotaka)
"Don't play dumb, I'm sure that you know what I wanted to talk to you about." (Sae)
"Could it perhaps be about Nagumo following me around yesterday during my time at the mall?" (Kiyotaka)
"I knew it, you really are different from the others. But yes, it is about him. I heard him discuss about you with the Acting Director while I was walking by, and it seems they are trying to expel you with any means necessary." (Sae)
"Oh wow, really? That's pretty surprising." (Kiyotaka)
"Don't play dumb, I'm sure you already know. Anyways, I recorded it and got Mashima to listen to it, now he knows for a fact that the Acting Director is not who he seems to be." (Sae)
"I'm impressed, I didn't think that you would go that far for me sensei." (Kiyotaka)
"Quiet. I'm only doing this to make sure you stay in my class and can have it rise to the top." (Sae)
But then, at that moment, one of the worst things that could have happened, happened.
In just a moment, I felt my hope crumbling.
It was the Acting Director.
He silently entered the room, without anyone noticing, and had listened in on our conversation.
I felt a flood of emotions submerge and overwhelm me.
Anger, fear, frustration, and more.
But most of all, I felt my impending doom.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.

The Twelve
In a world marred by the supernatural, Japan suffers from its own fair share of evil and demonic disasters, with generations of shamans known as Onmyoji protecting their homeland from these forces of evil. Capable of wielding magic and using spirits of their own, these shamans were not only skilled in battle, but also divination. However, they were unable to correctly predict Japan's loss in World War Two, and suffered the punishments that followed. Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. Sorry, and thanks!
