《I Do. (August Alsina)》I Do, 25

Today was the day I was so nervous about. Thankfully August agreed to come with me to New Orleans. We landed about four hours ago and I was about to have a panic attack.
"If you'on wanna do this, don't go." August said calming me down.
I nodded, drinking more water. "I want to though I'm just scared, you know. I haven't seen these people since and I just want some type of closure. A sorry or something."
"You takin lil man in?" He asked and I quickly shook my head.
"Never. They hate him. I wouldn't dare put him in that position or around their energy."
He nodded, tapping on the steering wheel. "We got taday and tamorrow. Which one?"
"Today. Tomorrow I just want to chill with you and Christian." I said sighing.
"Ight. If you need me, you betta call. I'a run ma' ass in thea' fa you." He said staring at me.
From the look he was giving me I knew he was serious. " Okay."
"Gimme a kiss befo you take yo ass in thea."
I smiled, leaning over to give him a soft peck. "I love you, August."
"I love you too, na, gone talk ta yo parents." He said scratching his head.
I nodded, saying a quick prayer before stepping out of the car. Walking up the five steps I could feel my whole body shake with nervousness and discomfort.
I knock on the door, waiting for and answer.
"Who is it?" Someone asked.
I didn't sound like my mother, so I shrugged knocking again. The door opened and a boy answered looking exactly like my dad.
"Who you?" He asked.
"I-I'm Sarah. I'm looking for Kevin and Sierra Marshall."
"Aight. You wanna come in?" He asked and my breathing stops.
I nod, biting my lip. I could feel my nervousness taking over my whole body. Who was this man? He looked to be the same age as me or around. Not to mention he look like an exact replica of Kevin.

He opened the door wider for me and I immediately look around my childhood home wanting to die because of the memories. The wall no longer held pictures of me as a child, but with photos of the boy.
"Momma! Pops! You got a visitor." He yelled and my eyes widened with complete shock.
Mom? Dad? He's my brother?
No wonder they come looking for me or even reached out to me. They replaced me.
"Who is it?" I heard Sierra yell.
"Ion know. Some chick named Sarah." He yelled back.
After a few minutes they appeared. Walking down the stairs, I could hear them laughing and joking.
Must be nice.
"Go put on a shirt Simon." Kevin scoffed looking at Simon.
"I'm grown." He replied waving them off. "Sarah, you want a water."
I stared at Kevin and Sierra before looking over at Simon. I shook my head and asked if he could give us a little minute.
"Mom. Dad." I said staring into their shocked faces.
"What're you doin hea?" Kevin asked.
"I just want to talk."
"We don't wanna talk ta you. Leave our house immediately." He said angrily.
"I just have a few questions, please it will not take long." I begged feeling my eyes water.
"I said get the fuck out of ma house!" He yelled and I jump.
I stare at him saddened by the fact that they literally wrote me off. I was no longer apart of this family. A family that I grew up with, loved, cried and prayed for.
"Why do you hate me? What did I do that makes you despise me? Is it because I kept my child?" I asked.
"We don't ha–"
"Yes! We told you to get rid of that fuckin bastard and you disobeyed us! Even after what happened to you, you said fuck us and you kept that rapist's child. We knew what was best for you and since you didn't wanna listen, ta' hell with yo fast ass! Fuck you and fuck that punk ass child!" He yelled cutting Sierra off.

"I don't care who you were to me, but don't fix yo mouth to say anything bad about my child. Yes, I kept Raymond's child. You want to know why? Because my child had absolutely nothing to do with what me and his sperm donor had going on. My child didn't rape me, so no I didn't abort him. The fact that you're so pissed about me not killing my child is do mind blowing. You're a monster and I pray my child never has to deal with a human being like you. He's wonderful and so precious and I'm so happy I didn't listen to you because he is the best thing that has ever happened to to me." I said back.
My baby was my greatest prize. I'm thankful I gave birth to a king like Christian. He's nothing like his father and my father.
"You got three seconds ta get out befo I put ma hands on you." Kevin said calmly as Sierra tried to calm him.
"Like you did when you found out I was pregnant. Yeah, I'm not scared of you anymore. And to be quite honest, I'm happy you shipped me off to Atlanta. I got away from your abusive and drunk ways. I found happiness in Atlanta, I have a son and a boyfriend who loves me and would go through hell and high waters for me unlike the fake love you showed me. I hope you have a blessed day. Bye." I said turning away.
As I'm walking out the door Simon jogs down the stairs to me.
"So you ma' sista?" He asked.
"Yes. I'm sorry for what you heard by the way. It's not really in my character to argue." I apologized.
"You cool. Bout time somebody put his bitch ass on his head. Ti'ed of that nigga. If it's not too much ta asked, is it okay if I have you ma number ta keep in contact. I didn't know I had a sista."
"Sure. I'll be here for the next two days so if you want to hang out with me and my son, you're welcome to." I said.
I wasn't going to hold anything against him because of his parents. He didn't know.
"Cool," he gave me his phone and I quickly put my number in it, sending myself a text. "See you sis."
"See you Simon." I waved heading to the parked car.
As I got in, I felt August's hand on my knee.
"How was it? I ain' gotta take ma ass in thea and knock somebody head loose?" He asked and I smiled.
"No crazy, but guess what?"
"What?"
"I have a brother."
He looked over at me. "Damn really. Dat must've been him when you left out. Y'all do lookalike."
"He wanted to hang with me and I told him he could. I do t want to hold anything against him because of the ugly parents he has." I rolled my eyes.
"You think you can trust him?" August asked.
"He's hasn't given me a reason not to, so I guess. I can't wait to go back to the hotel. I need a hot shower."
"It ain't go well with them people?"
"Not at all. My mother wasn't much of a problem, but Kevin was really pushing it. I don't think I'll ever get along with him. I don't hate him, but I don't love him either. He said some really hurtful things that he just can't turn back from." I sighed.
"Fuck him then. You'on need his bitch ass. You good, baybeh. I gotchu."
"I love you." I said.
He nodded, smiling at me before turning into the Popeyes. "I love you too. Na' wake lil man up so we can get some good chicken."
I smiled waking Christian up. "Come on bug, you want some chicken?"
A/N: It is a tab it bit short. I've been working all week and to be quite honest, my feet hurt, my leg ache, and I'm tired.
Enjoy though 💚😩
