"I dare you ta shut the fuck up." I said, makin Sarah roll ha eyes.

"I'm staying home."

"Come on, man. We already got reservations at this restaurant up the street."

"No." She crossed ha arms, turnin ha head ta the side.

"Bruh, you already dressed, so let's jus go." I laughed.

She cracked a smile, befo frowning again. "Hands and knees, sir. You gotta beg."

I smacked ma lips, gettin down on one knee, "Baybeh, can you please come on befo we late."

"Okay," she stood up from the couch and grabbed ha shoes. "Christian, lets goooo!"

"I'm already ready, mommy." Christian made a face befo turnin ta me.

I laughed, shakin ma head. "Y'all niggas is a trip, man."

"AugDog, you brung the stuff?" Christian whispered.

"Yeah." I whispered back.

"I swear y'all fake and phony." Sarah said, pushin me out the way ta grab Christian.

"What we do?" I watched as ha ass moved in all types of different directions with that dress on.

"Y'all whispering and it didn't include me."

I opened the door fa Christian ta get in then closed his door, stepping back ta look at this queen in front of me.

"You look beautiful, baybeh."

She smiled, gigglin like a lil school girl. "Thank you, but I'm still mad that y'all were whispering without me."

I smirked, opening the door fa ha. "Get in, lady. We got places ta be."

She nodded and hopped ha happy ass inna car. Once I got inside the drivers seat, I decided ta set the tone for tanight.

Hey girl, How you doin'

My name is Charile, last name Wilson

I was wonderin' if I could take you out

Show you a good time, invite you to my house

Here is my number, girl you can call me

And don't forget it baby, the name is Charlie

I looked over at her ta see her smiling big. "Aww you know I love this song."

"Of course I do. I know a lot about my baybeh."

As the song goes off another one of ha favorite love songs came on. I felt ha eye me and it made me laugh.

"What?" I asked.

Baby, you don't know (know) what you do to me (me)

Between me and you (you) I feel a chemistry

I won't let no one (one)

Come and take your place (place)

'Cause the love you give, it can't be replaced

"You're up to something, Anthony."

I just shrugged, smilin at ha beautiful ass.

I decided ta drive the long way ta the restaurant so she could feel the love within the car and already know the type of mood I'm in.

As that song went off, another one of her favorites came on. I peaked over at her, laughing out loud when I saw she was in tears. It made me laugh harder when I saw ha bottom lip quiver.

I hit the steering wheel a couple time, laughin at ha cry baybeh ass.

"I know you not about ta cry. We ain' even get ta the biggest surprise yet."

"Because what are you doing, Alsina?" She wiped ha lil tears, tryin not ta ruin ha make up.

I stop, and I wait, and I think

That I never met someone to make me feel

Like I'm ready to love

So I gotta do what I gotta do

Just to keep you

Keep you here with me baby

Now I feel it's time for me to say

That I need you boo

And I can't go a day without your loving

Baby I can't live without you

I laughed, shakin ma head. "Nothin, I'm just treatin y'all ta some dinna."

She shook ha head, "I don't believe you, at all, sir."

I shrugged, still smilin.

More of ha favorite songs came on and although she was cryin, like a big ass baybeh, I know she was lovin this moment.

I pulled up ta the restaurant, noddin at Christian ta unbuckle himself and get his mama out the car. I checked ma pockets ya see if I still had ma surprise on me. Once I felt the surprise in ma pocket, I got out the car.

"Ma'am," Christian said, openin the car door fa his mama.

"Ma'am? Aw my baby's growing up. August did you hear him? He called me Ma'am." She said, makin lil man blush.

His lil light bright ass tryin ta steal the spotlight.

"Follow us, mommy." He grabbed Sarah's hand and guided ha ta the entrance.

"I have reservations fa August Alsina." I spoke.

"Right this way, sir."

She sat us down at a booth near the window. I let lil man and Sarah sit befo I took a seat.

"Can I start you off with a drink."

"Can I get water and some apple juice for my son?" Sarah spoke, smilin at the waitress.

"I'a just take a wata as well."

The lady nodded and walked away. Once she came back with our drinks she took our order.

"You know you make a nigga real life happy." I couldn't help but smile.

Even though I be wantin ta body slam ha irritatin ass, she was a joy ta be around. She was the light I needed in this dark world. I could honestly say, I love this crazy woman.

She blushed, grabbin ma hand from across the table. "Auggie Bear, you make me happy too."

"Is that right?" I smirked.

She nodded. "Yes."

I kissed ha hand. "You know I love you right?"

"I mean obviously. Who wouldn't. I'm lovable and amazing."

"You just gotta ruin the moment witcho conceited ass." I flicked ha hands away from me.

She shrugged, diggin inta ha food.

I remember back then when I first met Sarah, I could tell errytime she looked at haself inna mirror, she hated what she saw. She knew she was a beautiful girl, but always hearin the negative bout haself made ha look at haself like she needed ta change.

She was surroundin haself with people who didn't love ha fa who she was. Peter for example.

Nigga didn't love ha, he loved the thought of Sarah, he loved controllin ha because she was so damn naive. She ain' know how ta separate the Peter she knew from the actual person.

All she saw was somebody who could possible fix ha or somebody who could love ha.

Thank God, I came through when I did because na she fuckin with a real nigga.

"Lemme taste ya food." I said lookin ova at ha plate.

"Of course, baby." She fed me a small portion. "Good isn't it?"

I licked ma lips, makin ha freeze a lil. "Good as hell."

"Y-yeah."

I chuckled, shakin ma head.

Lil freak ass.

As the night began to come to an end, I motioned fa Christian ta get the camera.

I wanted ta video record everything so she could look back on this day.

"Excuse me, mommy." He squeezed by ha, which made ha moved out the way.

After a couple seconds, Christian came back and had the damn camera all in Sarah face.

"What in the world?" She laughed.

While she was busy makin faces at the camera, I slid out the booth and grabbed ha hand. I got down on one knee and smile at ha.

"August," she whined, already crying.

"Why you cryin?" I laughed.

"Because you." She had her face covered so I wouldn't see her beautiful face. "I knew you were up to no good."

"Baybeh look at me." I grabbed ha other hand, makin ha look at me. "I told you when I met you after a year I was gone pop a ring on yo finger. And it's been a year, ma love. When I met you, I didn't understand why I couldn't stop thinkin bout you. You stayed on ma mind twenty five, eight. There's wasn't a time I wasn't thinkin bout you. When I found out you and ole boy was tagether, even though I'd neva come in between a relationship, that relationship I had to. I wasn't gone let you skip through ma fingers."

I could feel maself gettin choked up.

The first time I proposed ta someone, I ain' do none of this shit.

I bust a nut and slid the ring on ha finga thinkin I was in love.

"When you told me all you've been through, I wanted ta protect you. Lookin at those bruises on ya body made me feel like I wasn't a man because I let you go back ta the same nigga, but I'm hea now. I promise ta protect you, love you, and cherish you for the rest of ma life. Sarah Jeanie Marshall, will you marry a real nigga?"

She smacked ha lips, but nodded anyways. "Yes. I will marry a real n word."

I laugh, slippin the ring on ha finger. "You got allat Christian?"

"Yeah, you made mommy cry." He laughed, poking fun at Sarah.

"Shut up." She pinched his sides.

I pulled ha out of her seat, givin ha a kiss onna cheek. "I love you."

"Mmmm I know."

I'm engaged.

Oh Lord Jesus, I'm really engaged.

I looked down at ma finger and couldn't help but crack a smile. I got out of the bed and walked into the living room. I FaceTimed Chandra because I just had to tell someone.

After meeting Chandra some months back, I did take a liking to her. She was a real and genuine person. Chandra and I would spend hours just talking on the phone about everything and I thank God for her, because I never had a sister to teach me or tell me about certain things, Chandra stepped in and gave me some real advice.

She was one of the people I called about August because I know she knows him like the front and back of her hand.

"Helluh?"

"HE PROPOSED!" I put my ring in the camera. He face went from neutral to excited in seconds.

"I KNEW IT! WHEN DID ALL THIS HAPPEN?!"

"Today. He took me out to dinner with Christian and I'm sitting there full, Christian comes out with a freaking camera and starts recording me, I turn my head to August and he's on one knee."

She screamed, moving the camera all around. "Ma baybehs gettin married."

"Oh my goodness, girl." I laughed.

"I'm so happy fa y'all. I can't wait ta see y'all. Ima have ya pull you ta the side so we can plan y'all wedding."

"Girl, I just got engaged like four hours ago." I laughed.

"So what. We can still plan ahead. Next stop mo baybehs." She winked at me.

"That stop is vacant." We laughed.

As she changed the subject and began to talk about KayKay and her sassy behavior at school.

"She told the damn teacher shut don't go up, prices do so take my ad-damn-vice and shut up too. Chile, I almost laugh right inna teacha's face."

I laughed, but covered my mouth when I realized I was laughing too loud. "I need to steal that next time your brother tells me to shut up."

"I'a beat cho ass, lil girl."

"Ooooh," Chandra instigated.

"You won't, but anyways girl."

I felt August wrap his arms around me, taking the phone out my hand. "Bye ChaCha, give Chay and nem a kiss fa me, aight? Aight." He hung up on her before she could answer him back.

"Aug!" I slap his shoulder. "That's rude. Call her back and apologize."

"Nah." He sat down on the couch, pulling me towards him. "Come hea, love."

I blushed, sitting on his lap. "Yes?"

"You love me?" He asked.

"A little," I joked, making him smile.

"Is that right?"

"No, I love you a lot." I kissed his cheek.

I wrapped my arms around his neck relaxing on him. For August to be on the skinny side, he was really comfortable to lay on.

"I love you too, Mrs. Alsina."

"I still can't believe you proposed." I looked at the ring, still in complete shock.

"I told you ta gimme a year and I was gon pop that bitch on ya finga. You thought I was playin?" He laughed.

I laughed with him, "It's so beautiful, August."

"I know. I made sure it was perfect fa ma perfect woman."

"You're so corny, but I love it. Thank you, baby." I said.

"Only fa you. Gimme kiss."

I grabbed his face, giving him a biggest kiss I've ever given anyone.

August deserves all my love for making this dream come true.
