I woke up to aaliyah stressing out making sure she had outfits and everything for her trip to New york. I got out of bed and walked out of my room in an Oversized tshirt, grey shorts and my fluffy slippers. "Have you got clothes for everyday?" I asked "I have about nine different outfits so I think I've got enough clothes" i walked into the kitchen area and boiled the kettle and got a mug out the cupboard.
"Yeah I think you've got enough clothes. Have you got your passport and money" aaliyah lifted her tote bag with her passport and money in.
I walked over to her best friend and hugged her. "I'm going to miss you aaliyah" aaliyah smiled "Me too! But I'll bring you back some body shop stuff okay!" I smiled "You read my mind"
"What you doing while I'm gone as you don't have work?" I picked up the newspaper "Me and mum are meeting up, she just got back from Thailand, on tuesday I'm travelling up to Manchester because on Wednesday me and Marie are going to watch England play Australia at Old Trafford
Cricket Ground, and then travel back to Liverpool to then travel to London and stay in a hotel for the England games." Aaliyah smiled "So your going to be busy which is good because you'll forget I'm not a home." We both laughed.
I seen aaliyah off her in her uber that she ordered. Aaliyah was right, with me being busy I wouldn't realise that aaliyah wasn't at home.
I got dressed in a white crop top, a pair blue jeans, my air forces and a pink blazer. I left the house and got in my car and drove to the local cafe where my mum was stood outside waiting. I parked my car and began to walk fast towards my mum.

Maia was the only child, her mum and dad split up when she was three. So all she's ever known is Her mum. At such a small age her mum divorced her dad and they moved to Liverpool and have Lived in Liverpool ever since. They built a life in Liverpool without her having a dad figure around.
We sat down and ordered what we wanted. I opted for cheese pasta and a iced cappuccino. My mum opting for Avocado toast and a Frappuccino.
"How's life then Maia? What you been upto?" I shifted in my seat with a smile on my face " I'm good. I've got a job now." Jenny smiled and crossed her arms "And what job is it?" "I'm an intern at Liverpool football club being a Photographer" i said. Jenny nodded "How did that happen, the last I heard is that you were studying at university" "The internships team had some projects and they were picking people to be interns on these programmes. And my name got chosen to do a photography internship at Liverpool. I've been working there for about a week. But it's International break so I've got the week off"
Jenny smiled "thats great and have you met anyone? Have you got a boyfriend your not telling me about?" I laughed "No one yet, but I really like one of the players his names Trent. He really likes me and we just get on"
My mum was a very opinionated person and if she didn't like something she would say.
"How can you like someone you've only known for a week. That's madness" i sighed and started playing with my pasta "Mum I really like him and he likes me too. I thought you of all people would be happy that I might have potentially found someone" "Yeah but that's the problem you might have found someone. He could break your heart like your dad did mine. I can't watch you make the same mistake that I made. Maia you deserve better."

Things went quiet until the waiter arrived with the bill, Jenny offered to pay the bill and i refused to let her pay. So i paid. Jenny got her stuff together and got up and went to leave when i shouted her "Are we really going to fall out over this mum, I thought you'd be happy. I'll be careful. I know what to do if something isnt right or is wrong" Jenny nodded and left without saying goodbye to me. I was really upset with my mum.
Because i had never had a boyfriend, my mum found it hard to get used to the fact of her only daughter getting with someone. As her marriage with Maia's dad didn't work out she feels her daughter will make the same mistake.
I went to Marie's house instead of going home. Marie hadn't been very well so she had been at home for the weekend. The baby was fine and everything was fine with the Pregnancy she had just caught a cold. Jordan had been called up in the England squad so Jordan wasn't at home.
I knocked on the door and Marie answered straight away and opened her arms for me to give her a hug. "Come on Maia, I just boiled the kettle let's get a drink and talk" Maia took her shoes off and walked into the house. The Television was playing a film on sky cinema. I walked into the kitchen area where Marie was making the two, a cup of tea each. "What's happened then?" I wiped at my eyes "My mum just got back from Thailand and I haven't seen her in months as shes been abroad. I meet her and I tell her how I'm an intern at Liverpool. Then she asks me if I've got a boyfriend and I say no but I really like someone" Marie smiles "And then she said you can't seriously fall for a boy you've known for about a week. I paid the bill and she left without saying goodbye"
Marie smiled "Jordan's father didn't like me at first Maia. He tried to split me and jordan up but we both agreed for that not to happen and look now I'm currently nearly three months pregnant. You have to do what's best for you Maia. If you like trent and he likes you back then go for it. You'll never know what will happen and jordan spoke to me earlier and he said your all trent talls about. About your photography etc"
Marie was right i thanked her and gave her a hug.
We were heading up to Manchester tomorrow as they had both been given tickets to see England play Australia. I was staying the night at Marie's and Jordan's and was going to go back home in the morning to get my suitcase and things ready for the couple nights in Manchester.
We both snuggled on the sofa under blankets as we watched "Ps I love you"
The first half an hour we were both in tears..

Of Men and Dragons, Book 2
Jack, S'haar, and all their family are back. After crashing his ship on an underdeveloped world, Jack found friends and family among the terrifying cat-lizard natives of the world, but now mere survival is no longer enough. They must carve out a new home for themselves in the landscape of the now rapidly changing world. Raiders, politics, and even nature threaten their happiness and their lives while they struggle to deal with the nightmares and traumas of yesterday. They'll need to depend on each other more than ever if they hope for their new home to have any kind of future. In case you missed it, here's book one. ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.

What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
