《The Triplets' Guides (Reader Insert Version)》(y/n)'s Guide to Anger Management

When the camera finally turned on, (y/n) was sitting in the attic, but this time she had a rather irritated expression on her face, like she didn't want to be there.
"Welcome back to (y/n)'s guide" she said grudgingly. "Where today is (y/n)'s guide to...anger management."
She obstinately held up a new cardboard sign to the camera, which had the words 'ANGER MANAGEMENT' written in thick black ink.
A few hours ago, Mabel and (y/n) were sitting at the table of the kitchen, each of them with a fan of cards in their hands. They were staring at each other with equally intense glares.
Mabel grinned at her sister.
"Let's make this game sweeter" she said. "If you win, I have to go an entire week without any sweaters. But if I win, you have to go for an entire day without losing your temper."
(y/n) grinned as she looked down at her cards. She had a 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 all in clubs.
She smirked at her.
"You're on, sister."
Mabel giggled wickedly as she looked down at her own cards. She had an ace, king, queen, jack, and a ten all in spades...
(y/n) was back in the attic in the present day.
"Ok, I've been reading a few articles online, and I think that I can do this. First thing's first, gotta get out all the angries..."
She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, then stood up calmly and took in another deep breath with her hands hanging loosely at her sides...before her eyes suddenly snapped open and she screamed in rage.
She ran wildly around the room, attacking any objects that were in her path. She knocked over the lamp, kicked aside Dipper's pile of books, and then bent down and flipped her bed upwards into the air. She then turned her head up towards the ceiling, and with her fists shaking in the air, screamed so loudly that the window actually shattered behind her.
After a few seconds, she turned towards the camera, placing her hands on her hips and a smile on her face, as if the whole thing never even happened.
"Okay, I'm good now."
Dipper was downstairs eating breakfast at the kitchen table with Mabel while reading the journal when (y/n) walked into the room.
"Hey, guys" said (y/n), as she took a seat in between her two siblings.
"Morning, (y/n)" said Dipper, not looking up from the book.
"Good morning, (y/n)!" Mabel chirped, a huge grin on her face. "Could you get me the milk?"
"No problem" said (y/n), as she got up from the table and made her way towards the fridge. She opened the refrigerator door, only to be met by an explosion of glitter, which erupted all over her face.

(y/n) yelped in surprise, and when the dust finally settled, her entire top half of her body was covered in pink sparkles.
Mabel burst out into laughter.
"April Fools!"
"But it's the middle of July!" said (y/n), as she felt her face starting to burn in fury. But remembering her anger management day, she closed her eyes, and forced herself to take in deep breaths, eventually managing to calm herself down.
"But it's okay" (y/n) said with a much more controlled, albeit a bit shaky, tone. "Because I can take anything you dish out today."
Mabel smirked.
"Anything, dear sister?"
(y/n) shot a determined glance back at Mabel.
"Anything."
Dipper was looking between his two sisters with a rather timid expression on his face.
"Did I miss something here?"
(y/n) was now outside, working on yet another invention on the porch of the Mystery Shack. She reached over to grab the wrench, only to get shocked by a wave of electricity the instant she touched it.
She screamed in pain before letting go, and looked down to find that hooked to her wrench was an electrical cord.
Mabel appeared in the open doorway of the shack, swinging the other end of the cord in her hand.
"I bet you had a shocking time!" she joked, before bursting out into laughter.
(y/n) was taking in several haggard breaths, using all her will to bite back any words she so desperately wanted to use right now.
She was now walking into the women's restroom in the gift shop, but before she went in, she scanned the perimeter cautiously, checking for any signs of Mabel.
When she had deemed it clear, she went into the bathroom, and the door swung closed behind her.
Unknowingly to her, Mabel stepped out of her hiding place from behind a rack of T-shirt, and crept up to the door, peeling off the fake women's restroom sign off the door, revealing the real sign underneath: men's restroom.
There was the sound of a scream coming from the other side of the restroom door.
"Get out! This is the men's room!"
"Sorry!"
A few seconds later, (y/n) burst out the men's restroom door, her face flushed red with embarrassment.
Mabel was laughing at her sister's red face, the fake women's restroom sign on the ground a few inches from her feet.
(y/n) growled at her viciously, but still did not chew her out.
(y/n) had decided to get as far away from Mabel as she could, and so now she was standing at the base of a redwood tree in the middle of the forest, with a rope attached to a grappling hook in her hand.

There was no way her sister could find her now.
She swung the rope with one hand before letting it go. The grappling hook flew upwards, before wrapping itself around one of the tree's lower branches, even though it was still a few hundred feet above the ground.
(y/n) tugged at the rope, testing its strength, before she strapped the end of the rope to her harness, and started to climb up the tree, clutching to the rope with both hands as she walked with her feet up the tree.
She pulled the rope further through the belay device on the harness every few feet she climbed, so that she wouldn't fall too much if she accidentally slipped or let go of the rope.
Suddenly, Mabel appeared right next to her in the air.
"Hey, (y/n)!" she said cheerfully, before falling back down towards the ground. Mabel landed on the trampoline that she was jumping on at the base of the tree, and then propelled herself upwards again next to her sister.
(y/n)'s eyes widened in shock.
"Mabel!"
The next time Mabel was up in the air again, she had a pair of bright red scissors in one of her hands.
"Don't. You. Dare."
Mabel fell back to the ground, but once she was in the air again, she sliced through the rope with her scissors.
(y/n) screamed as she started to tumble through the air, plummeting rapidly towards the ground. She closed her eyes, preparing herself for the collision, but it never came.
Instead, she found herself submerged in a pool of pink-ish red liquid that she had landed in. She quickly swam upwards and took in a deep breath when she finally reached the surface.
"Mabel! What is this stuff?" exclaimed (y/n), mostly in shock rather than anger.
Mabel had stopped bouncing on the trampoline, and was now standing next to the giant pool, which was about twice her height.
"It's Mabel juice!" she chirped. "It contains plastic dinosaurs, coffee, and red food dye that'll last for at least three days tops!"
"What?!"
Mabel started laughing as she walked off through the forest towards the Mystery Shack.
Meanwhile, (y/n) was taking in rapid haggard breaths as she treaded in the pool, desperately fighting back against her anger that was now threatening to surface. Her deep breathing was turning into frantic panting as she swam out of the Mabel juice, her entire body dyed a slightly red hue.
(y/n) was now walking back to the Mystery Shack rather miserably. She had not been able to get the dye out, so she was still a bright shade of red.
"I'm never going to take a bet with Mabel ever again" she told herself, as she finally reached the Mystery Shack.
However, she was met by a horrific sight that she had not been expecting to see.
A few feet away from the Mystery Shack was her shed, but it was on fire. The flames were roaring higher into the air.
Mabel was standing a distance away, with a box of matches in her hands.
"Oh, hi, (y/n)!" she chirped. "You're back early!"
(y/n) bolted towards the hose, and yanked the dial to the right. She then aimed the hose towards the fire, and water spluttered out of it in a single stream, smothering the flames that were consuming the little shed, and sending smoke up into the air.
When the smoke had finally cleared up, the fire was gone and the shed was still standing, but it was now burnt an ashy black color.
Mabel turned towards her sister to see that she looked like she was on the verge of breaking. She was hunched over in an infuriated position, with her clenched fists trembling in fury, and a crazed look in her eyes that was threatening to boil over.
But suddenly, (y/n) closed her eyes, took in a very deep breath, and after a few seconds finally let it go.
Her shoulders relaxed, her arms rested at her sides, and a serene expression was now in her eyes.
"Nice try, Mabel, but I'm not losing it" she said, her voice strangely perfectly calm. "Until this day ends, nothing in this town is gonna make me lose my temper."
"Hello, (y/n) Pines!" said a new voice, which had a distinct British accent.
(y/n) turned to see Nathaniel, who was walking up to her in his usual confident manner.
She finally snapped.
"NORTHWEST, IF YOU DON'T GET AWAY FROM ME IN THE NEXT THREE SECONDS, I'M GONNA RIP YOUR ARMS OFF AND THEN BEAT YOU WITH THEM!!!!!!!"
Nathaniel's eyes widened in fear, before he turned and bolted away, screaming in terror as an enraged (y/n) was chasing after him, leaving a smug Mabel behind.
She turned towards the abandoned camera with a grin on her face.
"Works every time."

The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons
