Brooklynn stared at the plate of the food, her stomach growling. But she had refused to eat, she was on a hunger strike. She had the mindset that maybe if she could starve herself to death, then she'd be free from Connor.
"Brooklynn you haven't eaten in days," Naomi said. "If you want to heal properly your body needs the nutrients." Brooklynn ignored Naomi's constant nagging. She wasn't eating.
It had been three days since Connor came into her room and attacked her. And she knew that she was the one that punched him first, but he broke her ankle. And yes, after a very thorough examination by Brooklynn herself, she ruled that her ankle was broken.
Not really, she was just dramatic.
And Brook being the person that she was, was doing everything she could to make Connor feel like shit. She wasn't eating, which meant she was healing but not at a normal rate.
She knew that she was starting to worry Connor, even though he hadn't visited her. But everything she told Naomi she knew would eventually make it back to Connor.
"Brooklynn I am begging you, just take a couple of bites." Naomi pleaded, pushing the plate closer to Brook. Brook however, shoved the food away from herself.
"I told you," Brooklynn said. "I'm not hungry."
"Liar," Naomi accused. "I could hear your stomach growling from a mile away."
"Exactly why I'm not eating," Brooklynn smiled. "Maybe my pack will hear me and realize that I'm being starved to death." Naomi threw the fork down on the floor where they were sitting, and put her head in her hands.
"You're the only one starving yourself!" Naomi shouted incredulously. Naomi was trying her very best to be nice to Brooklynn, but she was losing patience. "Listen, Brook. I get that you do not want to be here, and I'm sorry. But you're here now, and you aren't leaving anytime soon. So why don't you just grow the hell up and eat!"
Brooklynn nodded, and grabbed the plate of food. Naomi was relatively surprised and happy that she was actually going to listen.
"I will eat this entire plate of food...if, you take me out of this goddamn house." Brooklynn proposed, and Naomi began to think.
Connor was pissed the last time she took Brooklynn out of the room, she couldn't image how pissed he'd be if she took her out of the house.
But then on the other hand, Naomi could understand why Brook wanted out. She was being held prisoner by her own mate, who wouldn't want to leave?
"Okay, get to eating." Naomi agreed, and instantly Brook started eating.
She shoved the food into her mouth, not even swallowing before she shoved even more into her mouth. The plain pieces of toast and bacon tasted incredible to her, having nothing to eat for the last few days.
"That was so good," Brooklynn moaned, showing the empty plate away from her. She had eaten the entire thing in under a minute, and she still wanted more. "Now it's time to go out." Brook said, before she walked over to the closet and picked out clothes.
She didn't pick out anything spectacular, just some dark grey ripped jeans, a white shirt, a black leather jacket and some platform heels. Wherever Brooklynn was going, she always wore some type of heels.

"Let's go," She chirped. She was undoubtedly excited to be going out of the house. But she was hoping that she wouldn't run into Connor, in fact he was the last person she wanted to see.
Naomi nervously walked through the hallway with Brooklynn by her side. Many of her pack members were throwing her bewildered looks, they knew Connor didn't tolerate insubordination.
But Naomi was doing it for Brook, and Connor. She really wanted them to get along, and maybe if Brooklynn realized the pack wasn't so bad she wouldn't hate Connor as much.
Brook was practically jumping with excitement, but she played it cool on the outside. She linked her arm with Naomi's, shooting her a perfectly crafted smile. Naomi wondered how one could have such perfect teeth.
Pushing open the door, the cold air hit Brook right in the face. Brook's smile grew even larger, but before she could step foot out of the door, Naomi stopped her.
"I need you to swear that you will not run away," Brooklynn nodded, "No, really. I need your word that no matter what happens that you'll stay." Naomi stared up at Brooklynn with wide eyes.
And for a second Brooklynn realized what kind of power she was getting, she could run away and never return. But deep down she already knew that she wasn't going to leave. So it was almost natural for Brook to give Naomi her word.
"Then let's go," Naomi clapped. Brooklynn stepped out of the door, like an animal that had been held captive for years, everything seemed new and exciting.
"Calm down," Naomi laughed. "It's only been three days since you were outside."
"You try being locked up in a room with barely any interaction. I don't think you'd take it very well." Brooklynn responded before she stepped off of the porch. "Now let's go see what this pack life is all about."
Naomi grabbed Brook's arm before she got very far. "Just an fyi, most of the girls here are hugely jealous of you being the luna. If any of them messes with you, kick their ass." Brook flashed Naomi a huge smile which she returned.
They walked around the territory, side by side. Naomi took pride in giving Brooklynn a tour of the pack land, she never thought that in all of her years she would have the honor of meeting a celebrity.
She never thought that she would meet someone as kind or as friendly as Brooklynn. And that was what Naomi needed.
She needed a friend. Because though Naomi came off as a strong and independent women, she was closer to breaking than anyone else in the pack.
"You good?" Brooklynn questioned, bringing Naomi's attention back to reality.
"Yeah!" Naomi replied, cheerfully. Brooklynn sensed that she wasn't being told the truth, but she let it slide.
As they walked, Brooklynn noticed a large group of people standing in a circle. They were all yelling and cheering, and Brooklynn became curious.
"What's that?" Brooklynn asked, walking closer to the group of people.
"It's the pack fight club, where they spar until one wolf wins. It can get pretty brutal sometimes." As Brooklynn reached the group, the people that were standing turned to face her, completely ignoring the fight.

Pretty soon she had everyone staring at her, even the fighters who had paused their match.
For the most part, people stared at her in awe. They mumbled Luna over and over, except for this one girl who was staring at Brook with distaste. Brooklynn stared at her, and narrowed her eyes at the girl.
"Is it okay if I watch?" Brooklynn questioned, taking her eyes off of the girl and turning to everyone else.
"O-of course, Luna." A young boy answered. He looked to be 12, maybe a couple years younger than Naomi.
"Brooklynn Bradley." The girl who had been glaring at her spoke. "Of course you can watch by all means Luna." She spit, her words full of venom. "But first, I challenge you to a fight."
Murmurs spread throughout the crowd, and people sent glances at both Brooklynn and the girl.
Brooklynn could tell that this girl was in fact a bitch but that didn't bother her. Nothing about this situation bothered her except for the fact that this girl was downright disrespectful.
"Fine," Brook answered. Naomi shot Brooklynn a look of fear, which she just brushed off.
She knew that the girl who had challenged her must've been a decent fighter, otherwise the pack members wouldn't be worried for Brooklynn.
Kick her ass. She heard Connor say through the mate link, and she looked for him. She spotted him on the other side, watching her with a straight face. And for once, Brooklynn was willing to listen to Connor.
"What are you waiting for," the girl hissed. "Let's see why you're so popular." Brooklynn didn't let the girls taunting deter her, she had handled bitches like this before.
She made her way into the circle, her wolf purring with delight. She couldn't wait to tear this girls hideous face to shreds.
Who knows, maybe a nose job would do this girl wonders. Brooklynn wanted to laugh, and her wolf growled at her for not paying attention.
"What are you waiting for?" The girl shouted. "Fight!"
Brooklynn stared incredulously at the girl, what the hell was she talking about?
"In case you forgot, the challenger always throws the first hit. You challenged me, now make your move." Brooklynn watched the girl shuffle for a bit, before she threw a punch. It was way too predictable, and the girl realized that when Brooklynn grabbed her hand and twisted it to the side.
"You bitch!" The girl cried, running at her and attempting to kick her. Brooklynn dodged her kick, and sent her own forceful kick to her back. The girl flew forward and landed on her face.
"Get up and fight." Brook hissed, stalking towards the girl. She saw the girl start to stand up, but Brooklynn pressed her heeled boot into her back. She shoved the girl back on the ground, before she grabbed her by her hair and threw her to the center of the circle.
"Rule number one: You might be good, but there is always someone better." Brook delivered a sickening kick to the girls ribs. She screamed in pain, trying to crawl away from Brook. Brooklynn stared at the girl in amusement, she had barely done anything to her.
"Rule number two: Bitches get stitches." Brooklynn yanked the girl up and socked her in the face. She fell to the ground, barely conscious.
"Rule number three: Don't fuck with me." And for the finale, Brook delivered multiple kicks to the girls face. All of the bottled up anger that she had was now coming out on the now unconscious girl. But like a machine that was programmed to kill, Brook couldn't stop herself. She didn't want to stop.
Eventually a set of arms wrapped around her, pulling her away from the girl who looked close to dead.
"Brook that's enough," Connor said. It was all she needed to hear to bring her attention away from her opponent. "You won." Brook didn't notice how badly she was shaking until now.
She looked at Connor with tears running down her face.
"You're dismissed." Connor ordered the wolves, who quickly left without a second glance. They knew better than to turn around, even Naomi left without looking back. "Why are you crying?" Connor asked, studying Brook's every move.
"I don't know." She sniffled, turning away from Connor to wipe her tears. "I've just been through a lot these past few days, it's a lot to process." Her voice was shaking, but she wasn't crying anymore.
Connor didn't know what to say, he knew that Brook thought it was all his fault. She wasn't wrong, he had attacked her pack, dragged her away from them, and wasn't letting her leave.
"Brook, I'm sorry." Connor mumbled, and Brook turned to face him. She stared at him with anger and sadness.
"If you were sorry, you wouldn't have brought me here in the first place. You wouldn't have held me prisoner in that room for three fucking days. You wouldn't have broken my ankle. And you wouldn't keep threatening my pack. But you did all of those things, and now you're saying you're sorry?" Brook couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had trouble wrapping her mind around the fact that he was apologizing.
"Brook, I cannot tell you how bad I feel for those things. But you're my mate, whether you like that or not, the moon goddess put us together."
Fucker. She thought, he just had to bring up the moon goddess. That crazy lady hadn't said one word to Brooklynn since the day she was kidnapped.
"You're right, we are mates. Which is why, instead of kidnapping me like the dick you are, you could've just asked me to come with you."
"You would've said no though," Connor said.
"Hell yeah I would've said no. But had you have listened and not kidnapped me, I might've followed you back here. But no, you were being an ass and you decided that I had no say in anything." Brooklynn paused to breathe. "Connor you have done absolutely nothing to prove that you're a good mate. Maybe instead of throwing out empty apologies you could actually try not to be such a power-hungry jackass."
And with that, Brooklynn left Connor to think. He thought about what he could possibly do to make Brooklynn happy, and after minutes of thinking he finally thought of something to make her happy...or someone.
