"describe the girl. maybe i know her."
we are currently in the canteen.
we are talking about my roommate, again. sounds like imm whipped and i really am. she is just so intriguing that i want to know more about her so bad. but that's exactly the opposite of what she wants.
whenever i greet her in the mornings or evenings, she would just stare at me and head to her room or go out. or whenever i ask her questions she would give me short responses, which is the only excuse i have to talk to her.
she is avoiding me. and i have no idea why! sometimes i ask myself, what did i do to her? did i pissed her off or something? i don't know.
it's been twelve days and she is still act towards me so cold and rude. the way her piercing eyes look at me, automatically makes me shiver down my spine.
and to think about it, i have never seen her in school. why don't i get to see her?
"she has a round face. cat-like eyes that looks like it can kill you. wavy brown hair and cute nose. she has cute cheeks too and her lips are heart-shaped. she has curves crafted on the perfect places and her figure is really stunning. she's really beautiful." i blurted out, my cheeks got red. i sounded really whipped while describing her.
for a moment chaeyoung's facial expression changed, her calm body became stiff, and her eyes cannot stay still. i narrowed my eyes, suspicious about chaeng's change of mood.
but she abruptly smiled and squeezed my hand. she smirked.
"i think i know who she is."

"can i stay with you please?" i pleaded to chaeyoung as she turned her car to the other way. chaeyoung glanced at the road and to me before sighing.

"i'm busy lisa," she said blankly.
"no you are not! you just said a while ago that you will go to a party!" i whine.
"exactly. i'm gonna be busy partying. i'm so fucking exhausted from school and i need to take a release."
"then take me with you. i'm tired as well and i want to cool off. i need to take a break from my coldass roommate."
"says the girl who's so whipped for her." she glanced at me then smirked. "she might be there you know," chaeyoung said. i groaned. "for the last time please stop teasing me!"
"okay pokpak," chaeyoung teased, obviously irritating me and making me groan again.
—•—
i am already getting dizzy from all the loud echoing sounds filling my ears, the strong smell of alcohol lingering everywhere, and me roaming around the house, in search for my now lost friend.
i saw the small plant in the corner of the room once again, making me groan loudly. some people who probably heard me looked at my direction, but i didn't care. it's my fourth time seeing this fucking plant and i'm getting so pissed. i want to fucking punch it.
but i halted, feeling my needs of alcohol and dismissing my thoughts to my lost friend.
i went back to the counter, ordering another glass of whiskey. i already drank all kinds of beverages here yet i still can't find chaeyoung.
i gulped down the liquor, the burning sensation flowing in my throat. i groaned afterwards, wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.
my vision got a little blurry. i rubbed them but i think it had gotten worse. i sipped on another drink.
my eyes started to droop slightly but i managed to open them, looking blankly at the glass. it's probably one in the morning. i've been here for hours yet i still couldn't find her.

i unlocked my phone and checked if i had any messages from her. and fuck, she just said she's leaving. it was delivered five minutes ago, fuck.
so now my friend abandoned me, left me here with some bunch of crazy and horny people who don't give a damn about shutting up.
"i miss my bed so much i wanna cuddle with my pillows." i whined. my eyes were already drooping, sleep overcoming me. the image of my comfy bed flashed in my mind, making me yawn. i opened my eyes and looked at my surroundings.
i tried to get up but i'm too heavy and drunk. yet i still forced myself to stand despite the feeling of my head being cracked open. i don't have any idea where am i going, just letting my feet take me to where it wants.
i stumbled, almost falling but a soft object caught me and held me by the waist, stopping the gravity pulling on me.
i was too drunk to have the right senses, yet saw this familiar brunette, unable to recognize who she was. she's a girl, judging by the wavy hair swaying due to her movements.
i forced a smile i could muster, gesturing a 'thank you' then wander my eyes again at my surroundings. i spotted a glass with some liquor. i grabbed it, the glass almost touching my mouth not until the brunette stopped me.
i glared at her and she shook her head. "don't" she mumled. concern was evident from her eyes.
i furrowed my eyebrows but i did what i was told. the girl looked at me straight in the eyes and despite my blurry vision, i managed to recognize her.
she was like a puzzle to me. the puzzle that is waiting to be solved yet cannot be touched at the same time. a puzzle that filled my mind every time. a puzzle that drives my feelings crazy. the puzzle that i can't wait to solve.

It Sucks Being a Side Character
Beat the bad guy, save the day, get the girl. These are the three steps of success every good Hero strives for. But for Lee, those three things are an impossible bucket list.
