《do you》xvi

"let's go monkey!" chaeyoung called, dragging me excitedly. we're partying again—no, she is partying again. i just happened to visit her house at the wrong time and now i'm here, having to socialize with people again. ugh.
"i know you love parties but why d'you always have to drag me here?" i whined as we entered the house. loud fucking music and sweaty crowd comes in view.
"'cause it's fun!" she squealed and people starts to approach us and chit chat. while she was busy talking, an idea popped into my mind. just as i was about to escape, chaeyoung held my wrist tightly making me groan inaudibly. she's my childhood friend, of course she knows what i'm about to do.
"don't even think about it," chaeyoung said sternly after the people left. i hate myself for getting too scared at chaeyoung. i don't know why either. "hmp!" i pouted. and then again, her friends approached her and did some usual party people stuff and she got too caught up with them she left me here. left me with these strangers. freedom!
i roamed around, seeing familiar and foreign faces, just observing them, nothing else to do. so i bored myself for a drink, drank two beers while i chat with some people. and then when they left me alone again, i refilled my cup with pineapple juice then went back to the living room to relax.
my eyes were getting droopy, too tired from school and practice. i need some sleep!
i poured the last contents of the juice down my throat, tiredly getting up from the couch to refill my cup again. but before i can even proceed to my plan, i felt my phone vibrate. i checked on it, seeing an unknown number messaged me.

'bored?' it texted.
i furrowed my brows and looked at my surrounding. nobody was using their phones but me.
'who are you?'
'how'd you get my number?'
i pressed send. i waited for a minute whilst looking at my surroundings again, checking out for something suspicious. i received a message again.
'you'll find out if you come out of the house ;)'
should i even trust this person? but i'd rather be with the stranger than waste my time in this party. so i went out from the house.
once i came out, i stretched my arms freely into the open air and yawned. damn, that party made me sleepy. and then i spotted a pickup truck, a girl on the driver's seat. beautiful gal, jennie kim.
"ride on!" she called and i quickly went inside the shotgun seat and gave her a smile. "how'd you know i'm here?" i asked.
"just saved you from boredom, manoban," she replied with a grin and wiggled her eyebrows. i laughed and put on the seatbelt. "safety first."
"are you in the mood to get drunk?" she asked coyly, smirking. then i noticed that her eyes were a little puffed, was she crying?
"hey did you c—"
but before i can even finish my question, she showed me tons of bottles of beer that baffled me. i realized she's tipsy. "jennie! why are you driving when you are drunk? what—"
"i'm completely fine manovan," she assured while she lightly chuckled.
before i can even volunteer myself to drive, she accelerated and i held on my seatbelt tightly, afraid that we might crash due to her extreme speed of driving.
jennie is laughing, like she is just playing video games. i didn't even ask to where we are heading, too busy shouting and scolding her at the same time, then falling asleep a few moments after that.

"hey, lisa," jennie called. my eyes are still closed. "we're here, baby. open your eyes now." i followed in the beat of my heart.
the smell of salt and water, the sea breeze that caresses our skin and the sea, peacefully waving at us. i smiled. jennie brought me at the beach. with a nice view with my favorite person.
"remember when you told me you wanted to see the beach? well here we are, lalisa. the beach is waving at you. wave back?"
she went out, stretched her arms and waved happily to the sea. i grinned. i soon followed and we waved like little kids while laughing. we ran towards the sea, feeling the cold water at our feet. we immediately retreated and laughed like two care-free teenagers. it was fun.

after their fun little kids play, they sat at the back of the pickup truck with blue warm blankets covering their bodies as they drink the bottles of bitter beer, gazing at the littered stars in the sky.
"doesn't it feels nice to see the stars with the person you like?" jennie asks as she giggles, drinking her fourteenth bottle. she snuggled closer to lisa and showed her gummy smile. lisa was caught off guard. it was evident on her face, shock and adoration and love. and because of her tipsiness, she cupped jennie's cheeks, points her lips against her with a great distance, shoved her away slowly and chuckles afterwards. she finished her beer and drank another one.
"yeah, it really feels super nice, nini," lisa agreed. jennie furrows her brows but later on laughs at the nickname. "who is nini?" jennie asks with that big gummy smile on her face. cute.
"jennie-ni!" lisa emphasized and jennie laughed non-stop. "that's the funniest nickname i got–" jennie said in between laughs while wiping her tears away.
"what are the other nicknames you've got then?" lisa asked and gave her an eye smile.
"hmmm...jendeuk and jenjen," jennie laughs. "jendeuk is kinda weird, jenjen is cute, and nini is hilarious!" jennie laughs again then hiccups afterwards.
"how about me? can you give a nickname for me?" lisa asked as she flipped her hair and drank again. jennie hums while thinking. "lili!" she chirped. "what?!"
"lili manovan!" jennie laughs for the nth time. "it's cute, nini! i like it!" they giggle like six year-olds. "our names are like matchy-matchy!"
"this is the best time i've ever had!" jennie shouted. "fuck yeah!" lisa agrees.
"you know nini, i really really like you," lisa said seriously. jennie stopped laughing, looked at lisa's eyes and got lost right there. she knows what'll happen next, but for a little while, let me have this, feel this again.
and before they know it, they are both leaning to each other, looking directly into each others eyes. the older looked into the younger's lips and,
they kissed.
