Scott put a few of my things into a suitcase. I sat on the bed, watching him.
Is he really going to let me stay with him?
Will he turn out to be like Travis??
I'm kind of nervous.
It's something new.
I've never experienced this before...
He gathered all my things and set the suitcase in the hall.
"You ready, Mitch?" He asked.
I nodded.
He gave me a smile and walked out.
I grabbed my coat and walked out behind him.
I followed him into the parking lot.
He led us to a car, an Ford '05 mustang
😉
It was nice.
He opened the back and put the suitcase in. He walked to the passenger side and opened the door for me.
I got in and buckled up.
He got into the drivers seat and closed his door. He handed me an iPhone with a golden case on it.
"What's this?" I ask.
"It was your phone." Scott said with a smile.
I smile back and unlock it.
At least 100 texts were left on my phone.
Including ones from Kirstie.
Kirstie: 'Are you okay? I'm so sorry, Mitchy. Xoxo'
Avi: 'hey man, I herd what happened. You alright?'
Kevin: 'Stay strong mitch. Think happy thoughts and you'll be better soon. Love you man.'
Esther: 'Avi told me what's going on. I hope you're okay, Mitchy. Lots of love.'
Todrick: 'Mitchy, stay strong. Love you brother.'
They all care.
Why? How?
I thought they hated me. Did they forget that they didn't like me?
"You okay?" Scott asked.
I nodded.
"They... they still care." I say.
"They always have, Mitch. Listen, they can come to our house anytime you'd like. Okay?" He says.
"Our house?" I ask.

He nodded. "Your house and my house." He smiled, making me smile.
His smile was contagious. He was... he was kind of cute.
No more dating Mitch... you can't do it...
I take a deep breath and look out the window.
A few minutes later, we pull into Scott's driveway. It leads to a humongous blue house, two stories with a bunch of windows.
I get out and help Scott grab my bags.
"You like?" Scott asks.
I nod.
It's nice. Really nice.
"Come on, I'll show you your room." He says, taking my bag and leading me up the stairs into a room where the walls were painted blue and green. There was a big queen sized bed and a bunch of fluffy pillows. There was a closet full of clothes for me, and two big cozy blankets.
It was late, almost 11:30pm and I was tired.
Scott told me where the bathroom was and that there was many snacks and drinks if I got hungry in the kitchen.
We said our good nights and I changed into the pajamas that he had gotten me.
They were yellow fuzzy pants with a black tank top.
It was very cold, so I put on one of the comfy hoodies he had in the closet. It was very big, which made it more cozy.
I drank some water and put my phone on the charger next to the bed.
I pressed a little button, turning the tv on, and crawled into bed.
I decided to text everyone who texted me two words and then call it a night.
'I'm okay.' I sent to them all.
I don't know what they said back, I put my phone away and rolled on my side, watching the tv.
I can't believe Scott did this for me.
I don't know how to thank him enough.
He's amazing.
He really is.
I love...
Woah...
I love him...
But I can't. Love is bad. They break your hearts...
I pull the blankets over me and feel my eyes get heavy.
I fell asleep, dreaming about how the future will look to be.

Author here, just wanted to say that if the synopsis did not sound as exciting as I had hoped it would be, try reading the first 10 chapters? I promise it won't be terrible! :) Whoops, forgot to mention, prologues don't count as chapters! If you've read this far, I might as well tell you what I was inspired by! However, this does NOT mean my story will be similiar in any way to the novels/stories/books listed below. By 'inspiration,' I refer to mainly how the characterizations plot devices, dialogue, conflict introduction/resolution, and thought processes are used and introduced in those works of literature. But in a way, you can interpret this list as, "if the author read and was inspired by these novels, then it's possible that we share similiar tastes, so I'll give this story a try." :) -Those Who Aspired to Become Gods: A darker fairy tale novel (My all-time fantasy favorite despite it being unfinished) -Forgotten Conqueror (Second all-time fantasy favorite) -Brandon Sanderson's The Reckoning trilogy (Third all-time fantasy favorite) -Kel Kade's 'King's Dark Tidings' -Brent Week's Night Angel saga -Red Rising trilogy -Infinite Realm: Monsters & Legends -Reborn: Apocalypse -Reborn: Evolving From Nothing -48 Hours a Day -The New World -Creep -Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4 -Can't Cure Deceit -Super Minion -Unparalleled -Unbound -Wake of the Ravager -Overgeared -Solo Leveling -The Tutorial Is Too Hard [email protected] -God of Money -A Snake's Life -The Snake Report -The Tower of God -UnOrdinary -Release that Witch!
