《The blonde and the brunette》23: were safe

I walked upstairs, and saw that the window was shattered.
Travis was somewhere in the room and I didn't know where.
The door slammed and he tried to choke me, I screamed and threw him down.
I yelled at him, and held a closed fist towards his head.
He kept moving around, and he kicked me in my stomach.
I held him down, against the floor and punched him in the head, as hard as I could.
I yelled at him and told him what would happened if he ever comes near mitch again.
He got up and held out a gun, but it wasn't towards me. It was pointed towards his head.
"What are you doing?!" I yelled.
He looked at me, dead in the eyes and said, "I'm sorry..." and... he was gone...
I didn't know what to do.
It looks like I killed him. But I didn't.
What do I tell mitch?
How do we get him out of here?
What... what have I done??
I walked downstairs and mitch was sitting on the floor.
I had sadness on my face, scaredness, and a shocked look on my face.
"What's going o-on?" Mitch said.
I shook my head.
"H-he's..." I stuttered.
"G-gone?" Mitch asked.
I nodded and he broke down into tears.
Why?
I thought he hated Travis.
"I'm sorry.. I didn't do it..." I say.
"T-then who d-did, Sc-Scott?!" He yells.
"He d-did. He put the gun to h-his head."
Mitch stopped crying and got up and hugged me.
"I-I love you..." he said, still crying.
"Why are you crying?" I asked.
"Tr-Travis.. h-he said if he died, n-no one would need to pr-protect me fr-from him, s-so I would be lonely..." Mitch stutters.
"Hey..." I say, picking Mitch up and walking to the couch.

"I'll never leave you. I promise." I say.
Mitch calms down and smiles at me.
I smile at him, and we just sit in silence for about 10 minutes.
Questions running through both of our minds on what to do, and where to go.
"We can bury him." Mitch said.
"Is that what you want to do?" I asked.
He nodded.
And that's just what we did.
I dug a hole in the ground, and buried him there.
Mitch got emotional, since he did love Travis before he started being abusive.
Mitch calmed down and hugged me tight.
I cleaned up my room, and took all the blankets and pillows and brought them to Mitch's room.
We couldn't sleep in my room, since the window was shattered.
I made his bed all up for us, and made sure that he was okay.
I apologized for what happened, and made him feel safe.
"No one is going to hurt you now, I promise." I said, smiling at him.
He smiled, and got into the bed.
I got in the bed, and lay right beside him.
I held him close, and ended up falling asleep.
We're safe now.

Rebirth of Destiny I
In a world where magical runes called Rebirths rest in the hands of hostile nations, fourteen-year-old Aiden lived a quiet life in a small town conveniently named Khalm. Born with crescent-shaped irises and silver hair, young Aiden was never bothered by his unusual birthmarks until the night his life as a simple delivery boy changed. He was the 'Rebirth Destroyer', someone ruling powers deemed a threat. Chased by death and the foretelling of the world ending by his hands, Aiden soon finds that there are few people he can trust. My stories are fantasy-based and heavily influenced by classic Final Fantasy games ( by classic I mean 1-10 ) and other Japanese Role-Playing Games I used to enjoy, with one difference; the main characters are Black. July 2022 update! After months of deliberation, I've decided to continue with this cast of characters in the next books instead. The loose ends in this story have been keeping me up all night. I've gotten started on 2 sequels to this; Rebirth of Destiny II based on the good ending and the alternative ending. After I get a good backlog built up they'll be published once a week.
