Third POV
Volturi Castle, Volterra
Bella and Aro both sat in silence with a book in hand. The pair had yet to utter a word after the argument. Aro sneaked glances at Bella who was engrossed in her book.
The couple looked up after they heard a commotion outside with whispered arguments. Aro stood up, placing his book on a table and walking towards the door.
He opened the door to find Corin and James whispering to each other. "What is happening here?" Aro asked, catching both guards attention as well as Bella's.
Bella frowned and stood up. "Master, there has been an issue," Corin said. "What issue Corin?" Bella asked, beating Aro by a second. "Four vampires had tried to attack Mistress Athendora and Sulpicia in the Tower."
Aro looked at Corin in surprised while Bella frowned. "But isn't it supposed to be almost impossible for someone to enter the Tower?" Bella asked.
"That is the issue, Mistress Isabella," James said. "We assume it is someone on the guards who let the vampires in," James continued. Aro sighed in audibly and turned to Bella.
"You aren't shifting to the Tower," Aro said, sounding defeated. Bella nodded with a childish smile. "Have you informed the others?" Aro asked Corin. "Yes Master. They will meet you in the throne room."
"I am coming with you," Bella said, leaving no space for argument, not that Aro wanted to argue right now. Aro nodded and started walking towards the throne room with Bella at his side.
James and Corin followed the two, keeping an eye on the surroundings to keep the couple safe. Aro and Bella stopped in front of the double doors of the throne room and James opened the door for them to enter.

Marcus and Aphrodite were whispering about something while Caius had a scowl on his face with his hand resting on Athendora's waist. Sulpicia stood beside Aro's throne, thinking about something.
"Brother," Marcus was the first one to notice the presence of Aro and Bella along with Corin and James. Caius head shoot up and he stood up from his throne.
Bella smiled at Athendora which was reciprocated. "I need vengeance," Caius growled, his eyes held a dangerous look which told anyone not to cross him.
"Patience is a key to great things, brother. You need to calm down," Aro replied, leading Bella to the podium and asked her to stand beside his throne, much like Athendora and Aphrodite.
Bella nodded and Sulpicia stepped down the podium, standing beside the Volturi twins. "Bring the assassins," Aro said. The throne room's doors opened with Santiago, Afton, Felix and Demetri dragging the four vampires in.
Aro tilted his head, his hands clasped in front of him. He gracefully stood up, examining the assassins with amusement and interest. "Who are you?" Aro asked, stepping down the podium and extending his hand.
The four vampires looked at each other, not ready to let the king know their secrets. "I thought you all will be happy to corporate but alas, that isn't your way," Aro sighed in fake disappointment.
Aro grabbed one of the vampires' face, letting his gift work. After a few passing moments, Aro's face twisted into a scowl as he let go of his face.
"It seems an old nemesis of ours has decided to try to defeat us again, but this time with new allies," Aro said, walking back to his throne and sitting down.
Caius frowned, turning to Aro. "What do you mean?" Caius asked. "Romanian coven is trying to defeat us, brother," Aro replied, matter of factly. Caius growled. "And what about the allies?" Marcus asked.

"Shifters or werewolves. I am not sure of what exactly they are," Aro said grimly. An uncomfortable silence surrounded the throne room as they let the words sink in.
"Jane, Alec," Aro called his two favourite guards, breaking the silence in the process. "Master," the twins bowed in a sync. "Take care of our dear guests," Aro said.
The four vampires' head shoot up as they comprehend what was going to happen to them. The vampires started to thrust around like animals to free themselves.
A green mist surrounded the four before hand their eyes changed their original wine colour to a shimmering green. The vampires had stopped thrashing and stood as if in a kind of trance.
Aro turned to look at James who stood on the opposite direction of the twins with a smirk on his face. Aro nodded in an acknowledgment and dismissed the four to the dungeons.
After the four vampires were safely escorted to dungeons and put on surveillance, all the high guards and the royals of Volturi stood in the throne room with a gloomy silence.
The three kings sat on their thrones. Caius had a scowl on his face, his legs crossed with his hands laced with each other. Aro sat in deep concentration, his body tensed. Marcus sat in a complete silence, his posture the most calmest.
Athendora and Bella stood beside their mates' thrones, occasionally glancing at each other. Aphrodite stood behind Marcus' throne, trying to digest everything going on. Sulpicia stood beside the twins, biting on her lower lip.
The high guard was on high alert. Jane and Alec stood with their hands behind their back, occasionally looking around. Demetri and Felix guarded the door to the entrance room. James stood in complete silence, his hands in front of him.
