- Sonic's mind -

8 months has passed since Tails discovered that he were pregnant. His belly have grown a lot since that day, so he thinks it's embarresing to show it. I know my love, loves the thought about being pregnant, but still it might be weird.

Guys aren't supposed to be pregnant, but later as the time passed, Tails confessed that he had gone to the hospital to take a Uterus transplant. I got shocked, no, more than shocked. My body froze still and I felt my inner side warming up, my heart beated faster. Tails wanted to get pregnant, without me knowing.

It was an amazing feeling actually, just by the thought of your boyfriend want a baby with you; is enough love for me.

Tails have gotten through the emotional rollercoaster and man, I am happy for it... He has been worse than sad, worse than depression, worse than angry...

I swear, I am never gonna get him angry. Ever. Again.

Beside that, everything have went well actually. I were there for him whenever, where ever and I never left his side.

As the time passed since he told me that he were pregnant, my love for him have been increasing. I have seen sides with him that I thought I wouldn't be able to see. His emotions. I know he is sixteen years old and me and him have been friends since he were eight, but I have never seen him cry as much like that one day. He screamed and were basically begging for hugs. His eyes, him, was so different.

I could also see that he trusts me more than before, which melts my heart.

The time has disappeared so quickly and before I knew it. Tails were in the hospital.

Sonic's POV

His cries are still running over and over in my mind as I ran faster than my legs could carry. 'Don't worry Tails~ Everything will be ok'. Were the last words I told him before he went through the door to the surgery room. I am sitting on one of the hospital chairs in the waiting room, my foot is tapping to the ground nervously as I am holding my hands together. Slowly praying that he will be alright. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, a doctor came to me and tapped on my shoulder. "Excuse me sir? Sonic, right?" It was a white female wolf and she were wearing a doctor's cape. She had less fur than expected though. "Yes" I simply answered, with a shaky voice as I stood up and looked at her with a worried expression. She smiled and nodded, which is a good sign. My ears went up and my hopes were increasing. "Come" She easily said as she made her way towards a room numbered "16" 'Suits his age though...'

She opened the door as she held a finger over her mouth, signalizing me to be quiet and let me walk inside. There was one single bed and in it were Tails. My senses told me to run towards him, crushing him with a hug, but stopped myself. I slowly made my way over to his bed. He were sitting upright with a cloth in his arms. 'It's moving!' I thought to myself as I stood by his side.

His head turned and looked at me with the most happiest smile I have ever seen. Happy tears were resting in the corners of his ocean blue eyes. Until he said with a little voice, almost a whisper. "...Isn't she beautiful...?" I looked over and saw a little head in the cloth. It peeked up from the little hole in the cloth, and I could see a little blue spiky head with small hairs on her forehead. I could slowly feel tears in my eyes, I tried my best to let them out. I told myself 'Don't cry, don't cry' over and over, until her eyes slowly opened and she looked up at Tails with light blue eyes. Blue met blue and it was adorable. "Hi there~" Tails said in a careful voice and I could feel his love like it just exploded in the room. The baby started to giggle cheerfully and reached her little hands up to Tails. I couldn't hold the tears in anymore as I saw the two people I love the most happy together. Tails looked at me and smiled softly as he held the baby close. "She is beautiful.." I said with a cracked voice.

I don't think I have cried so much as I did this day. The love that I felt were so much, that I couldn't keep mine in as well. The truth hit me like a train when I realized we have a daughter. A beautiful girl. I slowly sat down beside him as I laid my head on Tails' and held his shoulders close. We both looked at our daughter who were laughing happily as she moved her tiny feet and arms.

Tails has to stay in the hospital for 3 weeks to make sure everything is ok and well with him and the baby. I couldn't stay, but I visited him everyday to make sure he was ok for myself.

After the weeks passed we all went home. Tails were still a little pale from the birth, but he said everything were fine.

"Sonic, I were thinking a little and I noticed we haven't given her a name yet..." He looked at me as he were dressing her in sleeping clothes for the afternoon. "Shoot..." were the only response I could think of. If there was something me and Tails would keep on with forever, so is it names. We both know that from what to call his inventions...

"I know what you are thinking Sonic. That finding a name will never work, but this time we will find her a name that she and we will like" He said with a smile as he held her close to his chest.

But before I could say anything, Tails spoke first. "And no, we are not calling her Sonic junior or little Sonic" Dang...

We all sat down on the couch and we started to discuss most names which are normal to give a child, but both me and Tails have unique names, so we wanted one for her as well.

"What about a name that represent us?" Tails suggested. "Hm... Faster than the speed of sound?" I said. Because I am known for my speed. "Hm..." I saw that Tails were in deep thoughts. "Well I also make sound waves when I run to fast. Heh.." I answered and Tails broke out of his thoughts. "Sound wave..?" He looked up at me and I just realized he suggested a name. A minute went and our daughter started to giggle. Her arms reached up to Tails and it was obvious she liked it. I smiled softly to her and then held Tails' hand. "Then Sound wave it is"

Tails went upstairs to Sound wave's room and laid her down in her crib. She were laughing and were wide awake as she were in heer crib. Tails sighed and smiled, I saw that he scratched her behind her ears as he sang. My eyes widened. I have never heard him sing before. I lifted my ears to hear better. I didn't hear what he sang, but I heard his voice. It was soft and calming, he sang a soft lullaby without stopping his voice. When he were done, Sound wave were sleeping deeply with a soft blanket around her tiny body.

After singing Sound wave to sleep, Tails and I got ready for our goodnight sleep. I were the first one in bed of course. Then after a minute or two, Tails came walking in and snuck under the blanket with me. I smiled and held him close. I saw that Tails were still exhausted after the surgery. Which I can understand. Men are not supposed to give birth, but it is possible. It's way easier for women because their body is made to give birth.

Tails nuzzled into me and hugged me close, which surprised me. "I didn't get any hugs at the hospital..." He just simply said. I smiled warmly to him and hugged him close. "You have been amazing Tails" I told him lovely. He smiled and kissed me softly in response before he went in deep slumber. I kissed his forehead and smiled. "Sleep well, my angel~" Befor I went to sleep as well.
