"Luz..?"

Luz stopped in her tracks when King suddenly woke up.

"Where are you going..?" He asked.

Luckily Hooty was fast asleep for the night or else it would've been real hard to leave if he wasn't.

"I'm going to go somewhere for a bit." Luz answered back while putting her mask on while reaching a hand for the doorknob.

"Oh... Ok."

King was fast asleep again within a second Luz walked out of the owl house.

The night sky was beautiful to look at.

"I'm not distracted." She said as she continued down the dirt path.

Walking down the somewhat quiet isles.

Well, half were already asleep while some were probably still up and about wide awake or half-awake.

Some shops were still open while others were beginning to close down.

'It's a pleasant night don't you think?' she wondered while walking on.

As soon as she reached the front entrance, she walked inside without paying for a ticket and looked around.

Some animals were asleep, half-day animals were awake while most of them were night animals.

"For a zoo, this is the worst." She commented before spotting who she was looking for.

"Emperor Belos." She called out.

There was a moment of pause over the masked being who chuckled a bit before taking in her presence beside him.

He was watching a bird eyeing it's pretty in a magical glass cage.

"You like animals?" Luz wondered with slight confusion.

'Same, I thought he was cold.' she wondered before looking over to get an answer.

"Oh, perhaps I do... It's never often that I go out of hiding from my castle to watch a hunter eye it's prey." He hummed.

Luz huffed.

Well, that was something she didn't expect.

"Is that so..? Huh, well... You called for me, now what do you need?" She pondered before continuing with, "you're supposedly the strongest 'witch' and one who called for my aid too."

Belos sighed under his mask before placing a hand on the railing.

Luz could see how he was gripping unto it, close to snapping it apart with one hand.

"Is there someone bothering you so much you want to destroy public property without consequences?" She asked.

"Hm... Yes, it's the owl lady." Belos said.

"Oh. What about it?" Luz asked as she tucked a bawled fist inside her side pockets to keep it out of view.

"She's still out there... Doing wild magic, I called for you because I heard you were one to grant anything as long as a sacrifice was given forth." Belos said.

"Yes, that's me... The devil alright." Luz replied before asking, "and who's this sacrifice are you talking about then? It usually depends on my taste for their soul."

Belos chuckled in amusement. Funny.

"Her dear older sister... Lilith Clawthorne." He said before continuing with, "oh, but fear nothing, she went out of her own accord for it because she still pities her to be helped out of her younger sister's curse."

Luz stood quietly beside him.
