"BEEP... BEEP... BEEP..."

You woke up to the oddly human-sounding alarm. You slowly opened your eyes, only to be faced by a smiling Yugyeom.

"Jagiya!! Do you know what today is?"

"The day I embarrass myself more?" You retorted

"No... wait, maybe?" He chuckled.

"Today is Valentine's Day!" He squealed.

You winced at the words "Valentine's day", it was probably your least favorite holiday. You thought back to all of the rejections, almost tearing up.

"What about it?" You said, not wanting to deal with today.

"Why are you being so salty right now? I just said that it's Valentine's Day." Yugyeom said with a pout.

You grabbed the blanket and rolled yourself up. Hoping that he would just get the clue and leave you alone. But of course it's Yugyeom that we are talking about here. He jumped on top of you and wrapped his arms and legs around you. Trying his best not to let you escape.

"Come on, just tell me what's wrong." He whispered in your ear, sending shivers down your spine.

You quickly gave in to him, and told him all about your past rejections.

"... and that's why I don't like Valentine's Day." You said with a huff.

"Well, I guess I'm just going to have to change your mind." He said with a smile.

You were caught off guard when Yugyeom picked you up and brought you to the living room. You sat on the couch while you watched Yugyeom go back to the room. After a couple of minutes he came back with a box, and gently placed it on the coffee table in front of you.

"What is this?" You asked

"Open it." He said

You reached out and put the box in your lap, quickly opening the box. You were met with bright colors of pink and red. Sifting through the box you soon realized that it was all empty chocolate boxes and cards.

"Oh I see, Mr. Popular here just wanted to brag."

"No, no just look closer." Yugyeom said burying his face in his hands.

You took a closer look at all of the To and From tags. To your much surprise, they were all labeled To: Yugyeom, From: Yugyeom.

"Look I'm only sharing this with you so you can feel better. Not everyone has an amazing Valentine's Day, there are single people, and lonely people too. I have never been given a Valentine, or been accepted by a girl." He said, as his face grew more and more red.

"Y-Yugyeom, you didn't have to show all of this to me. But, thank you. I really do feel a lot better now." You said, as a sudden idea came to your mind.

"How about we make this into a special Valentine's Day? We can go shopping for each other and then meet up back here and have a party!" You said with a grin.

"Hmm... okay. But on one condition." Yugyeom said.

"What is it?" You asked as your curiosity starting to peak.

"You will just have to agree now, but when I tell you later... you can't say no. Got it?" Yugyeom said with a huge grin.

"Okay, okay. But I am only agreeing to this, because I want to change my mind about Valentine's Day."

You looked at Yugyeom, only to see him looking completely satisfied with your answer.

After both of you got ready, you made your way to your car. Getting into the driver's seat, Yugyeom followed and went to the passenger's side.

"So, how about we just go to the mall, and I'll call you when I'm finished shopping." You said

"Okay, sounds good to me. But make sure to keep everything hidden from me. I'm really bad with surprises." Yugyeom said with a laugh.

You made your way to the mall, parking and quickly going your separate ways. You walked into different stores, not really knowing what to get Yugyeom. You haven't really known him that long. But after couple minutes of debating, you decided to order a cake.

"It is going to be a party after all, and what's a party without a cake?" You thought to yourself.

Looking over all of the cakes, you finally decided on the cheesiest looking one. A vanilla heart shaped cake with white frosting and lace details. You bought the cake, and asked the cashier if she could write "___ And Yugyeom". Of course she complied and handed you the neatly packaged cake.

"Your boyfriend will absolutely love this! I hope you enjoy the cake miss." The cashier said with a smile.

You blushed and made your way to the next store. You decided to buy him a card. You browsed over the dozens of cards. Each more disgustingly cheesy than the last. After deciding on a card, you made your way to the cash register.

"Happy Valentine's Day, would you be interested in a flower? They are half price when you buy the card." Said the cashier.

After contemplating you were met with the most beautiful red tulip you had ever seen.

"I will take that red tulip please."

"You are in luck miss that was the last red tulip. Your partner will love it, I guarantee you." Said the cashier with a grin.

You made your way out of the store and towards your car. After safely hiding your gifts, you called Yugyeom and waited for him to come to the car. After a couple of minutes you were met with a panting Yugyeom.

"Why are you breathing so hard?" You asked

"I ran here, I didn't want to leave you alone for too long. Now close your eyes, I have to put my stuff up without you peaking." He said with a smile.

You covered your eyes and waited for Yugyeom to tell you when he was done.

"Okay, let's go back. I can't wait for you to see what I got you."

You both got into the car and made your way back to the boy's dorm.

After letting Yugyeom go first and set up, you grabbed your things and made your way to room 302.

You opened the door to only be met with a room full of decorations and an obviously excited Yugyeom. You placed all of the gifts on the table, and opened up the cake, neatly placing it on the coffee table. Yugyeom made his way to the cake, only to laugh at what was written on it.

"Aww, this is the cutest thing I have ever seen." Yugyeom said, quickly bringing his hands up to your face, to cup your cheeks.

"I-it's nothing. I just got it as a joke." You said.

You couldn't stop from blushing at the sudden closeness, but it didn't last for long. Yugyeom walked towards the gifts and brought them all to the couch. He sat next to you and placed the gifts on your lap.

"Open your gifts first. All of this is for you to change your mind about Valentine's Day anyways."

You opened each gift. But only one really caught your attention, a jewelry box. You opened it, inside was a note and a beautiful necklace. Before you could even read the note, Yugyeom grabbed the necklace and came to put it on you.

"I'm sorry, I didn't really know what to get you. But I hope you like it." Yugyeom said as he softly clasped the necklace together. It laid perfectly on your neck, you were speechless.

"Yugyeom..." You said, almost on the verge of tears.

"It doesn't matter what it looks like, I'm just really moved at the gesture. But don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful necklace."

You looked up at Yugyeom to see his face plastered with a smile.

"N-now I'm going to read you this, but you can't say no, remember?"

Before you even had time to reply Yugyeom started to read off of the note.

"___ I don't really know how to say this. But you deserve so much more. You deserve to be loved by someone. Although we haven't know each other for that long. I want to be that someone for you. I just want to hold your hand and protect you from everything. I don't want to see you upset over the past, so please let me be your future. ___ will you be my Valentine?"

"No."

You walked over to a wide eyed Yugyeom. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I want to be your Valentine...but I want to be your girlfriend first." You said with a smile

Feeling Yugyeom's pulse quicken, you looked at him, only to be cut off by a pair of lips. You were surprised at first, but you slowly deepened the kiss. Yugyeom broke the kiss and sighed.

"D-don't do that, we only started dating. You are going to give me a heart-attack." Yugyeom panted out.

You smiled went to the kitchen, coming back with utensils.

"To us!" You said

Yugyeom pecked you on the lips, and laughed.

"Oh yeah, you still have to open up your presents." You said to him

Running over to the table, you grabbed his gift, and handed it to him. He read over the card and laughed at the dumb puns. But when you handed him the tulip his eyes lit up.

"You do know what red tulips represent, right ___?"

You shook your head. "It just caught my eye, and I wanted to get it for you."

Yugyeom smiled. " Well,it means 'perfect love'."
