You were supposed to find peace in these two hours. You cooked for yourself, you took a rest, you organised the house.

But that house was feeling so cold and lonely, unfamiliar, a burden. And what you hated yourself for, was that you missed him. You missed Taehyung despite having spent so many hours with him lately.

He was like a drug.

Arriving at his house again, you knew there was something wrong. You were about to knock the door, but a man opened in, a man you didn't know.

You looked at his face and he looked at yours. He made you shiver. He was handsome but in a scary way, he seemed too cold, and most of all, he had something familiar.

Taehyung's eyes. But he wasn't Taehyung.

You saw the boy from behind, his eyes widely open when he saw you.

The man looked behind, at Taehyung's place.

"Who is she?"

"She's my maid..." Taehyung answered.

You could tell he was afraid.

The man nodded, not giving you a second glance, and walked away.

As soon as he was gone, you entered the house and closed the door behind. Taehyung was avoiding your eyes, he seemed defensive, his jaw showing he was gritting his teeth.

"Tae, who was he? Everything fine?"You asked.

He took a moment before answering.

"My father" was all he said and he forced himself to smile.

You realised how much pain that image was causing you.

"You know what" he said and patted your head "go home for today. We both need a break. I'll see you tomorrow"

"Are you sure?"

Are you sure you want to stay alone?

"Yeah, the house won't get that dirty in a day"

You wanted to hug him. But you didn't do it. You left and headed to your house, unable to stop thinking about what happened.

"I live for the day you'll find peace and quiet " Yiren said.

You were lying on your bed, having your best friend next to you, having heard all of your problems for an hour.

"What should I do? My heart feels uneasy" You told her and she sighed.

"You know I don't really like him, but... he was so mysterious for his own reasons, and now you happened to see he has some kind of family problem. So I don't wanna hurry and judge him."She said and you nodded.

"I think... I've been so focused on me lately. What happens to me, what I feel, what I'll do, what I'll hide from him... and now I feel bad I didn't try to see things from his eyes too. Why is he living alone? Why does he like me? Why was he treating me so weirdly this whole time? He stayed by my side when I cried but I left so easily when he obviously didn't feel well. Am I a bad person, Yiren?"

She smiled sweetly at you.

"It's okay to want to protect yourself. But he obviously likes you, and you like him, and he is kinda important to you, and has tried to approach you in different kinds of ways...I think he deserves a chance to get approached too."
