Lixian leaned his chin on his palm as his eyes were fixicated on the sleeping human next to him. His hair was tousled over his eyes, making him look a little younger then he actually was. The demon breathed a small smile when he saw the boy scrunch up his nose when he had softly tapped it with his fingertip.
His eyes slowly traced down the human's body, maybe still a little curious. His cheeks warming up as he continued watching. Lixian slowly lifted his hand and brushed some hair out of the boy's face, taking a better look. Now having the courage to do so since the boy was asleep and not looking at him with those soft, brown eyes.
Raya frowned and turned his head away for a second before he rolled onto his stomach, giving Lixian a good view of his back muscles. The demon crawled a little closer without much thought and traced the back of the boy with his curious eyes, pleased to see there were little freckles there too.
He didn't know why he was so invested in him. He had seen some humans before, but this one was different. He was so... gentle and nice to him... —he didn't hurt him.
He liked it.
He liked it a lot and, if he had to admit, actually didn't want to leave just yet. He wanted to know more and learn more about humans, but from this boy... and about him.
He laid his cheek back down onto his crossed arms, never looking away from the human as he took in his scent. It was weird, he found. He never had smelled something so delicious before, so... intriguing. It was breathtaking, something he noticed right away when they had met but didn't know what to do with. Everyone has a unique scent, but this boy his scent, he started to enjoy more and more each second.
Raya began to wake up after a few minutes and slowly fluttered open his eyes. Lixian held his breath as the human stretched his aching body, eventually locking eyes with him. They didn't say anything for a few seconds. Their eyes curious of what the other might do.
"Are you hungry?" The older asked eventually, his voice a little raspier and lower then normal because of just waking up.
Lixian slowly nodded, a little nervous now he was awake. Raya nodded and sat up, rubbing his sleepy eyes while sighing deeply. "It's been a long time since I slept this good with a thunderstorm going on." He mumbled with a laugh and stood up, making his way towards a room and coming back with two shirts.

"I don't know if demons wear shirts, but... um—"
The demon tilted his head as he watched him pull the fabric over his head, then looking down at the one he was given. It wasn't like he hadn't seen it before, he just never really considerate of doing it because demons were a warm bodied species. Raya scrunched his nose while smiling when the creature tried to follow his lead, though got stuck halfway through as it was a little on the smaller size.
"Let me help y—"
"Don't."
Raya pursed his lips and patiently waited for him to figure it out on his own. Lixian frowned in anger and eventually ripped the fabric as he let his arms fall at his sides, giving up. His dark orbs glanced up at the boy and was shocked to see a soft smile playing on his lips instead of being angry.
"I will make you a bigger one, I've should've seen this coming by the way you are build." He giggled, a sound Lixian found rather pleasant to hear. "But... before I'll go make us some food, I'd like to look at your wounds first."
Lixian frowned at those words but nervously pealed off the ripped fabrics anyway. Raya walked closer after seeing him comply and stopped in front of him, inspecting the bigger wound on his stomach first.
"Does it still hurt?" He softly asked while looking up at Lixian's face.
Lixian shook his head, but yelped in pain when the older touched the skin around it without warning. Earning a frown from the boy. "Why did you lie?"
"Because if you don't touch it, it doesn't hurt!" The demon huffed angrily, stepping away. A little wary again. Even though he didn't want to admit it: Humans still scared him.
Raya's eyes softened when he saw how the demon looked away from him, a somewhat gloomy expression plastered on his handsome face. "I'm sorry, I should've warned you before touching you. Do you forgive me?"
Lixian was surprised to hear such words come from a human and so glanced back up at him in shock. Was this all an act? Is he bating him into trusting him? The poor creature didn't know and was confused of what to do. He watched the boy through his dark lashes before averting his eyes again. "It's alright." He whispered softly, turning back towards him. "I just... don't like to be touched is all."
The human nodded understandably. "I didn't know, I'm sorry. Is it ok if I touch you? It's just for a few seconds so I can help you with your wounds?"

Lixian slowly nodded, unsurely. Raya was very gentle as he checked on every wound and bruise, trying not to touch him as much as he applied some of that green stuff on him.
"I think that was it." He smiled after a few minutes and looked up at a quiet looking demon, making him frown slightly. "You alright?"
"Yes." He mumbled and turned away, shyly rubbing his arms.
The younger didn't want to admit it, but it had felt quite nice. His touch. He could've sworn he had felt tingles, ever so softly when the human would touch his skin. His body acted different around this human and he didn't know why. It confused him. It wasn't alerting him to run or fight it off, it felt almost as if it was at peace, maybe even safe.
"I'll go grab us some food from the garden." The human mumbled hesitantly as he cleaned everything up. With not getting an answer, he just left through the backdoor to do just that. Leaving the silent demon alone.
The said demon looked around the small room, taking it all in again to distract his mind. It was quite nice, actually. He slowly rubbed his arms, trying to calm down his tingling skin, and walked around the room. He picked up a random book from a pile before placing it back down again. His feet bringing him into the room he hadn't seen yet, but stopped once the smell of the human intensified. He took a deep breath while closing his eyes and hummed softly. His body warming up.
"Do you need something?"
Lixian quickly spun around and felt his face turn red. He didn't know why he felt so embarrassed, but he had totally zoned out there for a bit. "N-no."
Raya smiled. "Come on then, I'll make you something good."
•
They ate silently together, both in their own little world while the only sound that could be heard was their chewing.
"Are you... —Are you going to leave today?" Raya softly asked, breaking the silence and causing Lixian to stop chewing.
He swallowed the food and took a minute to think. He eventually shrugged unsurely, not knowing if he was healthy enough to leave. Or even if he still wanted, to be honest.
Raya leaned a little towards him and captured the demon's eyes again. "You're always welcome here you know... You can stay if you want?"
The creature dropped his gaze down at the table, not sure of what to do. He wanted to stay, but he was scared. He didn't really know him yet, didn't trust him fully to confidently say yes, but he wanted too. He really did.
"Don't worry about it." Raya added after not getting a response from the creature. "I don't mind the company, you can stay as long as you'd like —But you can also leave, I won't be holding you."
Lixian looked back up after hearing those words and breathed out a sigh when those soft, brown eyes locked with his. He really was beautiful.
"I'm going to the market today, you want to stay here while I get some stuff or...?"
The demon quickly nodded. "I-I want to stay here, if that's alright?" Not really sure if the humans that hurt him were still looking for him.
"Sure thing, I won't be long then." Raya smiled and stood up, cleaning his things while the demon quietly ate the rest of his food.
"I have books you may like for if you get bored?" The boy suggested. Trying to cheer up the somewhat quiet demon, but it didn't really work like he wanted too as the doleful frown was still plastered on that handsome face.
"I can't um— I cannot really read that well in your language." The demon softly confessed, his cheeks flushing a rosy colour.
Raya couldn't help but coo at that sight. He smiled while putting on a extra layer of cloth for the cold weather outside. "I can teach you if you'd like?"
Lixian perked up at that and let a small smile take over his lips. He nodded excitedly, what earned him a chuckle and nod from the older. "Alright, I'll be back before the sun goes down."
Lixian followed him with his eyes through the window from inside to see the human walk away, the forest slowly swallowing him up before he couldn't see him anymore. He sighed out and cleaned his dishes in the bucket of water he saw Raya use before, slightly smiling to himself for reasons he didn't know.
He looked up after he was done and breathed out slowly... What now?

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.

Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
