You know what? I have decided to stay single for the rest of my life and I am gonna be happy.
Boyfriends are so overrated. Err....no offense guys. I'm sure you are all lovely and nice.
But seriously. Because every single time I get happy, it's ripped away. I'm pretty sure it's destiny that I stay unhappy.
So I'm just gonna write books for the rest of my life lol.
Anywhore. On with this chapter!!

Jack
"Micah! Maybe we should rethink this!" I yelled too her and she slammed her door shut.
"This can't be good." Julie mumbled as she ran after Micah with me.
"Micah!" I called out.
"You!" Micah called out as she pointed to some random guy.
"Me?" He asked as he looked between his friends.
"Dude she's hot. Answer her." One guy laughed.
I rolled my eyes.
She doesn't play for your team bro.
But that thought soon left my head as Micah grabbed the guy's shirt and brought him down to eye level.
"Where is River?" Micah asked in a serious tone.
The guy gulped. "I-I don't know."
"Well you better get your furry little ass moving and find him." Micah threatened as she released his shirt.
"Wait." The same guy that thought she was hot said. "You know about us?"
"Yes she does." I said speaking up.
The two guys jumped as bowed their heads.
"Luna." The said simultaneously.
"Where is he?" Micah asked again.
"In the pack house Miss." The guy mumbled as he pointed to a big house.
Micah smiled and walked towards the giant house.
"She's scary." He laughed. "But hot."
I rolled my eyes. "She doesn't swing for your team."
"Dammit." He cursed.
I scoffed. Men.
I jumped as I heard Micah slam the door open.
"Oh shit." I said as Julia and I caught up to her.
"River!" Micah screamed.
A couple guys jumped up and growled at her.
"Did you just growl at me?" Micah asked as she stared all of them down. "Fucking growl at me one more time and see what happens. I will skin you alive and make your pelt into a new rug. How does that sound? So do you want to fucking growl at me again?"
I watched amazed as the men sat back down quietly and didn't say anything.
"That's what I fucking thought. So who wants to be a good little boy and get River down here?" Micah questioned.
"Micah." River sighed as he popped up out of nowhere.
"You little fucker." Micah snapped.
River sighed again. "I'm guessing Jack told you everything."
"You bet your furry little ass she did." Micah said as she narrowed her eyes at him.
"We don't have furry asses." Nolan said. "Julia. There you are."

"Hey." Julie smiled as she walked up to him.
"Ew." Cooper teased. "Get a room."
"Once you find your mate, you'll understand." Nolan laughed.
Cooper looked over at Micah and winked at her.
"Oh boy." Micah sighed as Cooper walked over to her.
"Looks like my mate just walked in." Cooper winked as he stood in front of Micah.
Micah looked at him then busted out laughing.
"Oh that's good." Micah laughed as she wiped a tear from her eye. "That was good."
"What?" Cooper asked.
"Sorry boy. But you're not my type." Micah laughed.
"How? I'm everyone's type." Cooper said confused.
Micah shook her head. "You don't have the requirements."
"Requirements? I'm a muscular guy with a huge dick." Cooper smirked.
"Exactly."
"You lost me." Cooper said.
"Oh my gosh." I said out loud. "She doesn't swing for your team."
"Your two balls of fat need to be right here." Micah said as she poked Cooper's chest.
"Ohh." Cooper said as he nodded. "I get it now."
"Dumbass." Micah chuckled. "Anywhore. River. We need to talk."
"About?" River asked.
"You lying to my best friend. So get your furry little ass outside right now." Micah commanded as she opened the front door.
River laughed as he crossed his arms over his chest. "You gonna make me?"
"Oh shit." I said. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
"I'm an alpha. She's a human. I'm not scared of her." River said as he stared down Micah.
Micah smiled sweetly and walked up to him.
"Oh fuck." I said as I pushed Cooper in front of me.
"You better get your furry little ass moving and out that door or else I will fucking castrate you. I am a vet tech just like Jack is. I have the tools and experience to do it. Do you want to test me or do you want to listen to me and walk out that door? Pick one." Micah said calmly.
River gulped as he took a step back from Micah. "I-I'll walk."
"Good." Micah smiled as she grabbed River's ear and dragged him outside.
"I warned him." I said as Micah shut the door.
"She scares me." Nolan spoke up as he stood back up from hiding behind Julia.
"You're hiding behind me? You're bigger than I am." Julia laughed.
"Have you seen her?" Nolan asked as he pointed to the door. "She might be small, but she is scary as hell. I would rather face a hunter than her."
"A hunter? Like a deer hunter?" I asked.
Nolan shook his head. "Werewolf hunter."
"What the hell?" I mumbled. "What is that?"
"Ooh lesson time." Cooper cheered as he sat on the couch and patted the spot next to me. "Come on Jack."

I shrugged and sat down next to him.
"Okay." Cooper said as he placed his hands in his lap. "A werewolf hunter is sort of like a deer hunter. Except they kill werewolves and have silver bullets, arrows, knives, you name it."
"Silver?" I asked.
"Silver is very deadly to us." Nolan said as he wrapped his arm around Julia.
Aww how cute...just kidding.
"Just like wolfsbane is. Wolfsbane is a poison and with a high enough dosage, it can be lethal." Julia added.
"Ya. Any poison can kill you with the right dosage. And bullets, arrows, and knives can kill anyone. What's so special about wolfsbane and silver?" I asked.
"Wolfsbane inhibits us from shifting. When it gets in our system, it weakens our wolves which weakens us and we can't shift or talk to anyone through the mindlink." Cooper explained. "And silver burns us. You put the tiniest piece of silver next to our skin and it hurts us."
"That sucks." I said sadly.
"It's a bitch to find jewelry too." Julia said.
"Oh that's right. I didn't think about that." I laughed as Julia nodded with a smile.
"Girls." Nolan laughed.
I was about to speak up, but River and Micah walked in.
Micah was smiling and River looked like he'd seen a ghost.
"River?" I asked as I walked up to him. "Did you break him?"
"No. Not yet." Micah smirked. "We can leave now."
I nodded. "One second."
"Okay. I'll be in the truck." Micah said as she walked towards the door.
"Can I talk to you?" I asked River.
"Of course." River said as he carefully watched Micah walk out the door.
Told ya. Should have listened to me dumbass.
River followed me as I walked to the kitchen away from everyone else.
"Are you okay?" River asked.
I nodded. "Ya. I've been thinking."
"And?" River asked hopefully.
"Don't get too excited." I said as I watched his face fall. "You're still in a lot of trouble."
River nodded as he played with his hands. "I know. I just miss you a lot."
"I miss you too. Which is weird. Because I don't miss people." I admitted.
"You miss me?" River asked hopefully.
"Like I said before, don't get too excited."
"Right." River chuckled.
"But." I mumbled as River smiled at me. "I feel bad for yelling at you. And I wanted to apologize."
"I accept." River said quickly.
"Really? That fast?" I asked confused.
River nodded. "What I did was wrong so I really don't understand why you are apologizing. But you're my mate Jack. And my girlfriend. Well if we still are dating."
I laughed as River gave me the puppy dog face.
"Yes." I said dramatically. "I guess we can still date. But you have to earn the mate part River. No more lying and keeping secrets from me. I mean it."
River nodded frantically. "I promise."
"Good." I smiled.
"Thank you thank you thank you." River squealed and pulled me into a hug. "You won't regret it."
"Where's Hank?" I asked.
"You rang?" Hank asked as he popped his head into the kitchen.
"Should have known." I laughed.
"So this is the famous Luna." A tall lady with light brown hair smiled. "I'm Lauren."
"Hank's wife." I smiled. "And please. Call me Jack."
"Jack?" A girl with the same hair as her mom asked. "Isn't that a boy's name?"
Teenagers...
"Carrie!" Lauren yelled. "That is your Luna."
"I know. But I was just asking mom." Carrie said as she looked at me.
I nodded. "It is a boy's name."
"Then why did your parents name you that?" Carrie asked in a duh tone.
"Oh my gosh." Lauren yelled as he put her head on Hank's shoulder.
"Because they did. Do you need a reason?" I asked back.
Carrie stared at me wide eyed, then scoffed. "Whatever."
"Well that was entertaining." Hank mumbled. "I'm really sorry about her."
"Teenagers." I laughed. "Critter will be getting there soon."
"Critter?" Lauren asked. "Oh the little raccoon that scared you?"
"Yes." Hank huffed.
"Damn." Lauren laughed. "Can't believe that I missed that."
"Scared you?" I asked.
Lauren nodded. "Hank was taking a shower and Critter grabbed honey and drizzled it all over Hank. It scared the crap out of him."
"Yep. Sounds like Critter." I chuckled. "And we think that Critter can tell if someone is a werewolf."
"What? Is that even possible?" River asked.
"Well it makes sense. Every time Critter hisses at someone, they turn out to be werewolves. He has a good sense of smell." I explained.
"Makes sense." River mumbled.
"Well I'm gonna go. He's at home right now and he's probably worried." I said. "It was nice meeting you."
"You too sweetie." Lauren smiled. "And good job keeping Hank in line."
I laughed and turned to Hank.
"I am really sorry Jack." Hank said quietly.
"It's okay. It's in the past so let's just move on. But don't you dare lie to me again." I said as I gave him a pointed look.
"Promise." Hank smiled. "So do I still get my nickname?"
I laughed and nodded. "Yes. You'll always be Hank the Tank."
"Yes." Hank fist bumped the air.
"I'm married to a weirdo." Lauren mumbled as she walked out of the kitchen.
River laughed and then turned to me. "Maybe we can go on a date night or something?"
I nodded. "I would like that."
"Good." River smiled as he pulled me into a hug.
