《STAY DOWN |2020|》Forty Three.

"Okay so, you're 25 weeks and 4 days today. Baby girl is growing exceptionally well. She weighs nearly two pounds now, and she's thirteen inches long" my doctor said.
I couldn't help but to smile as I listened to the doctor tell me about baby girl's growth. Just four months ago, I wanted an abortion because I was scared. Now I'm irrevocably in love with my princess. I wouldn't give her up for anything in this world.
"I know you usually see me every four weeks, but I'll need you to come in a bit earlier for your glucose screening test. I'll see you back here in two weeks" my doctor said as she smiled.
"Okay, thank you."
"You're so welcome sweetie" she said as she helped me get off of the bed.
I scheduled my next appointment with the receptionist then headed out to my car. My next stop would be the Los Angeles County Jail to visit my man. He's been out of solitary for a week, and I have yet to see him. Things have been crazy in there, so he didn't want me to visit. I'm visiting today though, and he can't tell me NOTHING.
Getting into my car, I put my seat belt on then put the key into the ignition. I turned my music up then put the AC on blast before pulling off.
"What I tell you?" East asked as he picked the phone up.
"I couldn't wait any longer baby. I'm sorry" I pouted as I poked my lip out.
"Shit been getting crazy in here lately. I just want you to be safe. I miss you though" he said.
"I miss you too my love. Have you been doing okay?"
"I been aight. I gotta tell you something though" East said.
My smile instantly dropped into a frown. I could tell by his tone of voice that it was bad news.

"What is it?"
"My sentencing hearing starts next week" he said.
"What!? They're doing it already? I thought your lawyer said that it could take up to two years."
"They have everything that they need to move forward. There's no reason for them to wait any longer" East said.
"I think Zander has something to do with this" I blurted out.
East knitted his eyebrows in confusion. "What makes you think that baby?" He asked.
"He's been acting really strange since you got locked up. He barely comes around, and he only shows up to important events. He has only been here TWICE to see you. Look, I don't wanna say too much, but I have a strong feeling that Zander is somehow involved in this. Your dad agrees, but him and Kareem don't wanna accuse Zander of something with no proof."
"Do you hear how that sounds Gen? Zander has been my friend since childhood. I've been feeling like somebody close to me did this, but I doubt that it's Zander. It could've been anybody else in the crew" East said.
"DAMNIT JEREMIAH" I shouted, gaining the attention of a few other inmates and visitors.
"Lower your voice Gen" East demanded.
"Well can you fucking listen to me for once?"
East just stared at me while shaking his head.
I sighed, "I'm sorry. I'm just so eager to get you home. I know you didn't do what they're accusing you of doing, just like I know Zander had something to do with this. You have to trust me."
"I do trust you baby. This is just a serious accusation. Zander has never crossed me before. It's just hard to believe that he would do some shit like that" East said.
"It's always the people that you least expect. Think about it Jeremiah, the motive is there. There's definitely reasoning behind that motive too. He should be in here, not you" I said as I started to cry.

"Stop crying Gen. You know I hate seeing you cry baby" East said.
I sniffled then wiped my eyes.
"I'll tell Kareem to watch out for Zander. You stay out of it though. I don't want you involved in this AT ALL, aight?" He said.
I nodded, "okay."
He's crazy if he thinks that I'm staying out of this. I can't depend on others, but I know forsure that I'll get this shit done. I have to get it done. I can't let the system take my other half away from me.
I stayed with East for as long as I could before heading home.
"I'm with you on that one. Zander has definitely been acting weird, and I'm not just saying that because he did me dirty. I've noticed the changes" Sammy said.
"He's been EXTREMELY distant since East got locked up. Zander was always around Kareem and East when we first met them. I definitely agree with you Gen" Kelis said.
I'd just finished explaining my theory to Kelis and Sammy. Apparently, I'm not the only one that's been peeping shit.
"East's sentencing hearing is starting next week. I can't let the trial get that far. I have a week to find the proof that I need. I hate to ask, but I'm going to need y'all's help."
"We're down for whatever" Kelis and Sammy said in unison.
I nodded, "let's bring East home."
"Period! What's the plan?" Kelis asked.
"I feel like I can get to Harmony first. She definitely knows something, and I can definitely get it out of her. I just have to play nice."
"What makes you think that she'll fold?" Sammy asked.
"Let's just say, those criminal justice classes have been paying off. I've been lurking on Harmony's social media, and I've been extracting important information from her page. I don't care what anybody says social media will give you an idea of how a person acts in real life. Harmony is a very guilt-ridden person, and guilt eats her up. Zander is guilt-ridden as well, but not as much as Harmony is. I can almost guarantee that she'll fold under the right amount of pressure."
"Okaaaay Detective Carter" Kelis said.
"Right! Fuck a lawyer! My good sis needs to be a Detective. She's on her criminal minds shit" Sammy said.
I laughed, "y'all are so crazy. I'll turn into a detective QUICK when it comes to my man's freedom."
"I know that's right sis" Kelis said.
"You can't tell Kareem about any of this though. He'll tell East, and East will shut all of this shit down. I love Kareem like a brother, but he's not dependable right now. Zander is close to him as well, which is why it's hard for him to see what we see."
Kelis nodded, "I understand. This is between the three of us."
Although this situation is dangerous, I have to do what I have to do to get my man out of jail. I'll go above and beyond for that man, and he would do the same for me. We are a team, we are ONE. I'm not complete without him, and he's not complete without me.
I'm gonna do what I have to do to bring my man home, by any means NECESSARY.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. He’s been unwittingly recruited into the Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons—the most prestigious interdimensional school dedicated to training the monstrous guardians who protect the Tree of Souls from so-called heroes. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…

The Forgotten One
Hey there everbody. This will be my second upload to Roll 20. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue my previous one due to life and what not but I'm now back and have a some what new idea I've been kicking around for years. We'll see if i head back to my other fiction due to having things calming down. And like always I'm open to constructive critisims. Any way on to the synopsis. The world as we know it is gone. Torn from everyone due to two major things. First and foremost a biologica lweapon that no one wanted to take credit for after it was released and couldn't be stopped (a zombie virus of sorts) and the way that many nations thought to stop it from spreading was to destory everything they could ofcourse that didn't include them selves. So there the world was in a mexican standoff with hundreds of countries with hundreds of nuclear weapons just dareing one another to make the first move. Once again no one knew who started it but it didn't matter once it started the world was doomed. In an attempt to save people some scientists began working on a way to cryogenically frezze people so they could surive the on coming armegedon. The problem was before they could begin testing it on humnas the nukes began launching. In a bid to save them selves a family gave their youngest son to the scientists as a test subject. He had already been infected by the virus weeks before the nukes were being threatened and still retained his humanitiy. After being betrayed by his family after telling them of his ability to stay him self and a few things the bio weapon had changed in him physically he was sedated with enough drugs to kill a whole pride of elephants and forced to take part in the experiment. The last thing he remembers was watching his world close around him (his cryo pod) and his family's face of sadness but also hope in the fact that them betraying him may give them a chance to live. This is a fan fiction in which many aspects of one of my favorite games will be quiet prevelent. It will be obvious to those who have played it but for those who may not the game i'm going to be baseing some of the things in this novel is called Prototype. And no I do not own the rights to the cover. If the creater would like for me to pull it down please messege me.
