Since today is Friday my dad always takes a walk around the track and I go just to make sure he's okay.
"You ready to walk today daddy". I ask and he looks around nodding.
"Okay let's go". I said grabbing our waters off the table and following him out the front door.
We begin to walk in silence to the track and it wasn't an awkward silence it was a comfortable silence.
"H-how's school". He asked causing me to look over at him in shock.
"I-it's good I'm actually in the process of doing a project with a guy from my class". I said with a smile on my face.
"Oh". He said walking slowly.
"How's your equation going". I ask and he just lit up and started talking about it.
You see although he has autism he's a genius with numbers. If you ask him about math that's the only chance you'll have to have a real conversation with him.
Walking up to the gate it was locked with a sign.
"Daddy it says that they won't be open till Wednesday you want to do your walk at the park instead". I ask looking over at him and he started fidgeting.
"Open it o-o-open it". He said pulling on the gate and I pull him away.
"We can't it's closed". I said and he started hitting himself in the head.
Wrapping my arms around him he continues to swing hitting my back hard but I didn't let go.
"We can just go to the park this one time okay, okay". I say looking up at him as he breathes heavily.
"Park okay park". He said causing me to nod and let him go.
I started walking and he followed me.
Making it to the park we begin to walk and I saw Krew talking to his friends and some girls with his arm wrapped around a girl and she was pretty.

I continued to listen to my dad talk about this equation that hasn't been solved yet.
"Are you going to solve it". I ask look over at him with a smile on my face.
"No I-I don't think I can". He said and I shook my head.
"I think you can". I said and his face held no expression.
I look over and I see that he was breathing a little hard so I open his water and handing it out to him.
"Here drink". I said and he took it drinking it.
I see a bench and I guess he did too because he went over and sat down. Looking out at the lake I could hear children playing. We don't really get to hang out but when we do I try to enjoy it as much as I can.
"I'm ready to go". My dad said causing me to look over at him.
"Are you sure". I ask and he nods his head yes.
"Okay". I said standing up and he did the same before we headed back the way we came.
Out of nowhere there was the sound of something popping causing me to look and see the girls standing with Krews group throwing those things that pop when they hit the ground.
"N-No I'm sorry I won't do it again". My dad said covering his face before he started hitting himself again.
Wrapping my arms around him he hits my back so hard that I fell into him causing us to fall to the ground and he kept hitting me as I held onto him.
I could hear people talking but the only thing I was worried about was my father.
Hopefully he stops...
