Tiesha was happy.
She was seven months pregnant and today was her daughter's fifth birthday.
It was a sunny Thursday afternoon.
Her daughter's birthday wish had been to spend the day with her family at the amusement park.
Esther didn't want a big birthday party, just family so MoTiesha had planned a surprise party for her.
Everyone was at the park waiting for her.
Daquan was bouncing on his toes, waiting eagerly for her. He had been planning his present for her for more than two months.
Tiesha dialed her husband's number.
Ky'Mon looked at his phone and winced before picking the call.
"Lil mama, I'm almost there", he said before she could get a word in.
"Over one hour now!. Just pick her up from school and bring her here but no!, you ha-", Ky'Mon sighed as he tuned out her voice.
The problem with women is they talk too much when angry.
"Calm down baby, you know the twins don't want their mama overstressing".
"That is on their daddy!. Stressing me unnecessarily".
Ky'Mon rolled his eyes.
"Just relax, I'm at her school gate, she g-. There she is. Hey Princess, happy birthday", he said as he got out of the car, spotting her immediately.
"Daddy!", Tiesha heard in the background as Esther hugged Ky'Mon like her life depended on it".
"Your mama's home waiting to celebrate with you", Ky'Mon gave her the phone.
"Hi mommy", she said into the phone.
"Hi Honey, Happy birthday".
Esther giggled.
"You said that this morning buuuuut thank you. We're coming home now so i can get my gifts, byeeeee".
She gave the phone to Ky'Mon who pocketed it as they made their way into the car.
Her bodyguards in another car.
Tiesha rubbed her temples.
"Auntie, where is Es?", Daquan tugged at her dress.
"She's on her way, sweetie".
"Stop asking so many damn questions, this is why your mama don't answer ya sometimes", Lowe said to Daquan as he made his way to an ice-cream truck, Daquan following closely behind.

"You don't mind your business, this is why mama don't give you food", Daquan muttered under his breath.
Lowe paused making Daquan stop in his tracks too.
He glared at the little boy who was slowing backing away one step at a time.
Daquan kept his eyes on his father as he retreated backwards ready to run.
Lowe raised a finger in the air.
"Strike one", he said then turned around to walk away.
Daquan sighed in relief as he trotted after his father.
Back in the car, Esther sang and clapped her hands cheerfully as Ky'Mon drove.
"For she's a jolly good fellow and so-. Daddy, what's the rest?", she looked up at him.
Ky'Mon chuckled and looked at her before looking back at the road.
"Ion know, princess".
Esther frowned then her eyes widened then she pointed.
"Daddy!".
Ky'Mon pressed hard on the brakes. He looked at Esther who hugged the seat belt and was panting.
"Are you okay?", he asked touching her face.
She nodded and Ky'Mon looked back at the road.
There was a big truck blocking the road. He looked around and realized he was on the road alone with the truck and just the bodyguards car behind him.
His eyes widened in realization.
Few minutes ago, he had made a turn at a quiet forest road because a sign said the road was bad and to go another particular way.
Ky'Mon heard gunshots and looked back. The bodyguard who had come out of the car to check up on them had been shot.
"I hate the sound of guns", Esther said as she covered her ears.
The other two guards were shot dead in the car then Ky'Mon saw four people appear in front of his car, few metres away.
They all had guns pointed at him and Esther.
Ky'Mon's eyes widened.
"Down, down, get the fuck down!", he yelled at his daughter.
Esther fumbled with the seatbelt as it refused to unshield.
"Daddy, it's stuck".
Then, the four people fired.

The windscreen shattered as Ky'Mon finally freed her from the seat, pulling her down immediately.
They continued to shoot at them non stop, destroying the car.
A bullet hit Ky'Mon's arm and he winced.
Ky'Mon sat up straight and two bullets pierced his chest as another pierced his shoulder blade.
Then they stopped shooting.
Ky'Mon looked down at his bleeding chest and grunted, blood running down the corner of his mouth.
"DADDY!", Esther yelled.
She stood up then cried out in pain as she knelt on the seat and held her stomach.
Ky'Mon followed her movements.
Her stomach was bleeding profusely.
"No", Ky'Mon coughed up blood.
Slowly and painfully, he carried Esther and gathered her in his arms..
Then he picked his phone and dialed someone's number.
"Where the fuck are ya?", the person snapped.
Ky'Mon coughed before he spoke.
"Take Tiesha, hide her".
"What the fuck are ya talking about?".
"Now Lowe, we don't have time. They're coming for her".
"Who's coming for her?".
"Is that Ky'Mon?, lemme talk to him. Where the fuck is he with my daughter?".
Tiesha snatched the phone from Lowe.
"Ky'Mon!".
"Lil mama, i want you to know i love you so much. I'm sorry i couldn't wait to give you the world".
"K-". Wh-What's wrong?, why do you sound like that?", Tiesha's heart leapt in fear.
"Princess, talk to mommy. Say you love mommy".
"I love you mommy", a tear slipped from Esther's eye as she coiled into Ky'Mon's bleeding chest.
"I love you too baby".
"Don't you love daddy, Princess?".
"I love daddy too", she giggled then cried out.
"Daddy, it hurts".
"Wh- what hurts?, Where are you, Ky'Mon talk to me. Honey?, Honey talk to mommy".
"It's okay baby", Ky'Mon kissed her forehead.
"I want to see mommy".
"Ky'Mon", Tiesha was already crying as her whole body shook.
"I love you, Lil mama and I'm sorry. I'm sorry it gotta be this way".
"No please".
"If you sing, you won't feel the pain. Will you sing for daddy?", Ky'Mon said to Esther as her face contorted in pain.
"Yes".
"I love my mommy, I love my daddy. I love them sooo much. Mommy cares for me, daddy provides for me, I love them so much".
Esther cried in pain as her body shook.
And then, she slumped in his hands.
"Fuck!", Ky'Mon hugged her body to his chest as tears streamed down his face.
"No no no no. Please no, I'm begging you", Tiesha cried uncontrollably as Lowe snatched the phone from her and disconnected the call.
She staggered back and screamed in pain, holding her protruded stomach.
Koko raised her maxi dress and saw blood flowing down her leg.
Another pain seared through Tiesha and she fell down into Lowe's arms.
"She's gonna lose the baby", Koko said to Lowe.
Ky'Mon looked at his dead daughter and placed his forehead on hers as he cried silently.
Then he closed his eyes.
And he never opened them again
One of the four people came close to the car and checked on them. He dialed a number and someone picked at once.
"Confirmed", he said.
A familiar voice chuckled over the phone then replied.
"Burn the car".
Few hours later, a police car and a broadcasting TV station arrived at the scene.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Hermione Granger, reporting live from DFG news. Few hours ago, business mogul Ky'Mon Bells and his daughter, Esther Bells were annihilated by unknown assassins. It is a thing of wonder as to how they could be assainated with the amount of well built guards that follow the Bells family everywhere".
"As you can see, the car was also burnt to ashes leaving no traces as to who could have done such a thing", the reporter pointed at the background.
"What a well plotted kill. But the question on everyone's lips is-".
The reporter held the microphone tighter in her hand.
"Where are the bodies of Ky'Mon and Esther Bells?".
