《His Red Eyes {SasuNaru}》Chapter 9

A blinding light hit my face, making it so that it was difficult to look around. I open my eyes and use my hand to shield my eyes from the light.
It's coming from the window, but I had it shut last night. I realize the lack of warmth around my body. I sit up and rub my eyes.
I open them and look around. The blinds were open, and so was the door to my room. I feel around to see if I woke Naruto up, that's when I realize that he wasn't there.
That's odd, I get up from the bed and take my shirt from the previous day off the floor, and I put it over my head and wear it.
It doesn't look like he's still here. I leave the room and walk downstairs. I see a small piece of paper on the counter, which has to be from Naruto.
I walk over to it and flip the piece of paper to reveal the messy writing on the other side of it.
Dear Sasuke,
Sorry if I left in a rush and if I made you worry. The other day Orochimaru gave me his address and offered to give me more info regarding the Uzumaki clan.
My eyes widen. Did he really go there? Without any backup? He wasn't that reckless, was he? I shake the thoughts out of my head and proceed to read the note.
I know this sounds reckless, but I'm going to the address. If I don't make it back by noon, come after me. Here's the address.
He then left the address at the bottom of the paper, I hurriedly checked the time on the nearest clock, which happened to be near the top right corner of the table.
It read 11:30 AM, close enough for me. I ran to the front door, grabbed my shoes, and hurriedly put them on.
After putting them on I ran to the door. I opened it and outside in front of the door I found Namikaze Naruto, wearing the hoodie I gave him yesterday, my black jeans that were too big on him and my shoes which looked like clown shoes on him.

There were a million things I wanted to say at that moment, but there was one thing that came to my mind first.
I slapped him. With all the power in my hand, "WHAT THE HELL, NARUTO? YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN HURT" I grab ahold of his face and examine every part of it.
After confirming that nothing was wrong with his face, I pull him into a tight hug. I bury my face into his blonde hair, "Don't do that again," I say into his hair.
After a minute, I feel his arms around me hugging, me back. He murmurs into my chest, something along the lines of, "I'm sorry,"
After holding him in my arms, making sure that he was real, I let go of him, but he doesn't. Instead, he holds on to me tighter, "I'm sorry,"
I blush. That was hella cute, "Yeah, yeah, it's fine," I say, gently grabbing his shoulders and pulling him off me. Even though his face wasn't buried in my chest, he was looking away from me.
I smile softly, "Are you embarrassed?" I ask him in a teasing voice, as I grab ahold of his chin and move it so he was facing me.
He blushed, "Whatever, bastard. What's for breakfast?" he said as he walked past me, slightly bumping into me.
I smile and follow him in, "Just take a fruit or something," I tell him tossing him an apple from the pantry. He catches it and gives me a disgusted look,
"Who the fuck eats a fruit for breakfast?" he asked me, tossing the apple back to me. I catch it, "Then what do you want?" I ask him,
He thinks for a second, "Ramen," "So, you're going to say that eating an apple is disgusting but then eat ramen? You're getting the apple," I say, tossing the apple back to him.

He catches it and pouts, "What? Do you want me to feed it to you?" I ask him. He blushes and shook his head violently.
He eyes the apple before taking a bite out of it. As he chews on it, he makes a disgusted face and forcefully swallows it.
"That is disgusting," he declared, throwing the apple in the trash, he took a seat at the dining table, and I follow suit.
"So, what happened?" I asked him, I mean, he went to Orochimaru, he could've gotten information.
"Well, I went to his house, and I did get some information," he told me, "It turns out there is one more left out there," I look at him, did that man like him so much to the point he told him all his secrets?
"He left the kid alive because, and I quote, 'I saw potential in him,'" he said, quoting the air. "Which also gives us another clue, it's a he," he said, stating the obvious. "He also mentioned the kid being below the age of two," he quickly added.
I nod. I grab a sheet of paper I left on the table the day before, "So murder occurred when we were all a year old. The kid would've been a couple of months or two years old," I noted down.
"So he's either in the year below us, in our year, or the year above us," I write down. Naruto peaks over to look at what I'm writing,
"Looking at the number of people I socialize with its only people in my classes, which means it's our year,"
I finish writing up the sentence and then lean back in my chair, "This could fail if the person hid the string of my soulmate or if they don't know me," I say, looking at Naruto, who was analyzing the paper,
"So, me going to the pedo's house was for nothing?" he asks me, puzzled. I facepalm myself. When will he become somewhat smarter?
"Yeah, we learned that it's a he and their age range," I tell him, he takes a second to comprehend this, "So I was helpful?" he asks smiling.
A tint of red spreads across my cheeks but quickly hid it. "I guess if you look at it like that, you might have done something.."
He laughs, "Oh yeah, I need to head out to the store," he said, walking to the door.
I follow him, "Why?" I asked him, "I need to get a toothbrush," he said, pointing to his mouth.
I nod, he puts on my shoes from before and heads out, he waves to me before closing the door behind him.
I walk back into my room and go to the bathroom, I take a look in the mirror. My hair looks like I just walked through a tornado.
As I grasp the hairbrush from the shelf below the sink, I realize that there was an extra, unopened pack of toothbrushes.
I facepalm myself, I should've checked before he left, maybe I can catch up to him if I'm fast.
I run down the stairs and make my way to the door. Before opening it, I heard a distant voice talking on the other side.
"You cut out, can you say that again?" I hear from the person, there was no mistaking that voice. It was Naruto.
A/N I don't wanna go to school anymore T_T
