*Chapter 22*
"I have a date, I have a date, I have a date," I summed when I put our bag in Zaron's trunk. After yesterday's meeting we didn't get to sleep that much so we decided to take turns while driving. It's going to take a few hours until we reached the place. And I was sooo excited.
If I didn't misunderstand then we are going to something like a super huge amusement park and it makes it even more exciting since I have never been to one. And we even booked a room in what seems to be a cute hotel.
It was almost 7 in the evening when we reached the hotel room, in which we planned to stay for a couple of days.
"Excited?" Zaron smirked when he pulled out the bags from the car and guided me inside.
"Yes! I can't wait," I smiled as we approached the counter where we simply checked in. Then some guy in his middle twenties was ordered to carry our bags and show the way to our room. His name was Spencer as I could read from his name tag. So, once we arrived we thanked Spencer before he left us the key to open the door ourselves.
And the moment we did, the first thing I saw was the bright light that shined through the large double door of the balcony, followed by the bed that was dressed in white sheets. So of course, the first thing I did after leaving my bag at the side was approaching the balcony to get a good glimpse at the view.
Zaron chuckled and closed the door behind his back before copying my actions. "Didn't think that it'll be so nice here," he smiled.
"Of course, it was me who chose it after all." I jokingly threw back my none-existent long hair and giggled. "Come on let's check the other rooms," I jumped back and eagerly opened the next door after getting back in.
"Don't let that energy go to waste, understand me! You'll need it for tomorrow!" He warned me while I inspected the bathroom and the little what seemed to be a kitchen.
"How long are we gonna stay again?" I wanted to know.
"Four days starting from today," he answered after throwing himself on the bed. I grinned, taking a lot of momentum and jumped on top of him. He immediately groaned at the sudden weight but still rolled his eyes with a tiny smile. "There's no reason to be so horny, babe," he joked.
"Don't call me babe." I nibbled on his earlobe and traveled down to his neck where I got too captivated by his sent that I instinctively buried my nose in his neck.
"You don't like it?" His voice was quiet and calming at the same time. I even almost forgot to reply once a warm hazy daze surrounded me.
"Nah," I mumbled and shook my head. It was just digging up old memories. "Call me by my name," I requested. "I am Quentin. So, call me by my name the way I call you by yours." My eyes weren't looking anywhere in particular as I drew circles on his chest.
"I'll see what I can do about that, babe," he purposefully stressed it, getting on my nerves.
"Zaron!" I whined and sat up. "Don't make me mad. I'll bite you," I warned.
"Bite?" He questioned with amusement in his voice. Therefore, I bit him, clenching the delicate skin of his neck between my teeth. "Ow, ow, ow! Let go," he tugged on my hair, causing me to let go of him.

"Bite," I clarified.
"Damn it," he hissed and rubbed the red turning spot before he slightly pushed me away to go look at it in the mirror. "What are you vampire?"
"I'm afraid not." I got up and followed him. "But if you want, we could try some Cosplay," I suggested. I never tried it before. It is probably fun. "But a vampire costume doesn't sound thrilling at all."
"What are you even talking about?" Zaron turned to me and raised his brows. "Whatever let's go change and head to bed. The earlier we leave tomorrow the more we get to see tomorrow, right?"
*
And that is how we were on the way to the funfair park. It didn't take long until we arrived since we had chosen a hotel close to it.
"You should have taken a jacket along," he commented when he let his arm slid from my bare arms to my hand while we left the car to head to the entrance.
"It will get warmer anyway," I waved away.
"What can I do for you?" The woman at the counter caught our attention. She looked like some woman in her middle forties who hated her job but hid it behind her fake smile.
"Ticket of the day for us two, please," Zaron ordered.
"84,80, please," she spoke too enthusiastically which gave her actual mood away. I thought it was a bit funny so when Zaron was about to give her the money I stopped him and put two hundred-dollar notes on the counter myself after receiving the tickets.
The lady frowned at me and wanted to give me the excess money back, though I stopped her and stood on my tippy-toes to whisper something in her ear. "You look like you could use a tiny bit of motivation. So, don't let it show on your beautiful face," I winked.
Her face turned a little red at my words before she nodded and mouthed a slight 'thank you' at me. I grabbed Zaron's hand and kindly waved the woman a good bye.
"I said that I was gonna pay, you moron. It's really impossible to spoil you," he crossed his arms once we distanced us from the entrance.
"Well you already did for the hotel, I can't just burden you with everything," I shrugged.
"It's not a burden," he sighed. It was quiet for some time till his curiosity won against him. "What did you say to that woman?"
I looked at him for a second but shook my head and walked ahead of him. "Who knows?" I shrugged.
"You-," he didn't even finish his sentence when he sighed and waved it away. "Whatever, let's just go."
"Good afternoon," a man, wearing a soldier costume greeted us. I looked at him with wide eyes since he kind of surprised me. "I'd suggest you to take that way to get to the real entrance," he pointed out. "Though, this way," this time he pointed at a door of the big building to the side, "is way quicker. It is in your hands which way you decide to choose."
The old and shady house seemed really appealing to me other than the other way. "Zaron, Zaron can we take the quicker way?" I tugged on his sleeve.
"Yeah sure," he nodded. But there was a frown on his face that doubted the man that still had a friendly smile on his face.

"Great. You can just go, the door is open. But let me warn you, the moment you'll get inside, there won't be any other way to get out beside the door at the other end of the house. Are you sure you still want to go?"
"Yes!" I eagerly nodded.
"Then good luck," he bowed down. And that was the cue for us to leave, immediately aiming for the door which we opened revealing nothing but utter darkness.
"You really want to do this?" Zaron assured. "What if we get lost, it's not like we can see much." Worry spread on his voice.
"Then let's hold hands," I grabbed his hand, keeping a secure grip and guided him further. Meanwhile, the door had already fallen close to the point that normal eyes couldn't see through the now complete darkness anymore.
And without any additions of problems, I pulled out my phone and turned the flashlight on. The corridor was super dusty and I might had a bit of light but that was never enough to reach as far as the end of the rooms.
Soon we had to stop since the way was leading behind three doors which we couldn't open. Though the keys were hanging directly next to the doors with a little sign.
"It says that we can only open one door. The moment we take one of the keys the other two that doesn't belong to it will be locked," he summarized.
"Wow, and how are we supposed to know which door?" I grumbled, thinking about it.
"Don't break your head, just choose anyone. I'm certain that the luck is on your side." I rolled my eyes at him while I just took the next best key that opened the last door.
"There," I placed the key on Zaron's hand and watched how he opened the door. And to our surprise it led to a room full of brightness. And that room was connected to a slide. Not only that but everything was completely see-through, given that the walls were made out of glass.
And as soon as we stepped out the door closed by itself and left us with no other possibilities than to slide down. "Look at that view!" I gasped. If the floor cracked then we'd definitely fall and die. I chuckled at the thought before letting go of Zaron's hand for the first time since we've entered the building.
"Look the other way, we can even see what behind the other doors were," Zaron noticed. So, I turned around and gasped. The other choice was simply an elevator and the other were just stairs but what they all had in common was that the walls were made of glass, too.
I then made my way to the slide inspecting it with a frown. Wasn't this too dangerous? "Hey Zar-," and there I was, accidentally slipping off and basically falling into the slide. I released a short scream when I heard Zaron's voice fading away.
And that is also how I landed on some trampoline that catapulted me on the soft grass which didn't made it hurt at all. Though I was nonetheless really dizzy from the ride. A few seconds after I stood up, I heard Zaron coming afterwards. He, on the other side, landed without any problems on the bouncing area and comfortably stepped on the ground.
"Are you okay?" He worried as he placed his palm on my shoulder.
"Yes, I- Wow!" My eyes widened. It looked even better up close. And different than before, tons of people were actually here. "Let's go there, and then there and there!" I insisted and dragged him around after gripping his hand.
*
We were looking around passing a lot of shops and souvenir stores after we got ourselves something to eat at a small snack bar. "Hey Zaron," I mischievously grinned. "We should go there, you know, just for fun."
"Huh? What?" He wasn't realizing what I meant before we headed to the costume store. "So, you are really into cosplay," he snickered. When we got inside, the smell of candles immediately crept in my nose.
"What can I do for you," a girl that seemed to be in our age approached us. She was dressed in a maid costume which really suited her.
"We're just looking around for funny outfits," I shrugged.
"May I give you some recommendations?" The girl smiled.
"Not for me though," Zaron strictly refused. I pouted at him in disappointment. "Come on don't look at me like that," he avoided my eyes.
"Boring," I crossed my arms and followed the girl who suggested me a few costumes. So kind that she was, she carried everything to the changing rooms. And all together it were three.
The first one I tried was the Ron Stoppable one, but I didn't like it at all. Thus, without even showing how it looked like I went for the next one. And the wonder woman costume seemed to be super popular which is why I tried it out.
I pushed the curtain to the side and revealed myself. And I must say, it looked really cool, but on the other side it was super uncomfortable.
"This looks awesome," Zaron snorted, trying to suppress his laugh.
"Stop laughing," I hushed and returned to the cabinet to put on the sailor moon outfit which I also presented. But this time Zaron couldn't hold his laugh anymore and burst out in a fit of giggles.
"This," he grinned. "Suits you." And again, he started laughing.
"Rude," I mumbled.
Anyway, at the end we couldn't find anything appealing enough so we left quite early. "Oh, it's already getting late," Zaron noticed.
I pouted at him and tugged on his sleeve. "Not yet, I want to stay a bit longer." I couldn't imagine how the time had passed so fast.
"What if we try this thing over there," he suggested. I immediately smiled and agreed when he didn't seem like going back either. That's why we approached the photo box cabin and went in to sit down before pulling the curtains close. "How does this even work?" Zaron questioned while looking at the screen.
"How should I know? I've never done this before either," I shrugged. "Maybe we should just press there," I pressed at some bottoms which seemed to be the right thing to do until I figured out the instructions. "Let's start off with five pictures, okay? We've only got a few seconds to pose," I warned as I pressed on start. The three seconds countdown showed up on the screen when we both started panicking.
"And what should we do?" He widened his eyes.
"Anything!" I said but these fifteen seconds were quicker over than we thought and after the tiny pictures were printed out twice, we didn't hesitate to take a good look at them. "Your face!" I burst out laughing.
"Look who's talking," he grinned.
"Let's try again! But, cuter this time." I pressed on the monitor, this time exactly knowing what to do. "Say cheese," I said before the countdown returned.
3...2...1
We both grinned to the camera. Click!
Then Zaron wrapped his arms around me and pressed his face against mine, causing me to have a squished expression on the picture. Click!
And as a revenge, he made a disgusted face when I licked his cheeks. Click!
Therefore, he rubbed his face clean and looked at me with a smirking face once our noses were almost touching. Click!
For the last one, I wanted to make a grimace picture which is why I stuck my tongue out. But Zaron had other plans when he placed a brief kiss on my cheek. Click!
The pictures immediately got printed out twice again which we both took to get a glimpse at it. "Look, these ones are really cute," I pointed at the third and fourth picture, before tucking it in my phone case.
"Well I like all of them," Zaron smiled. "I like every picture where you have that cute smile on your face." His finger slightly brushed my lips as a slight blush spread on my cheeks.
"Because of you I'm blushing now," I looked away and stood up before pulling the curtain to the side, ready to leave. Zaron was meanwhile quick next to me and linked his hand with mine to stay by my side. "Let's go there before we leave, okay? Just once, please," I begged and pointed at the big Ferris wheel.
"As if I'd say no," Zaron rolled his eyes and guided the way. We had to stand in the line which was super annoying. Because I just hate waiting for something or waiting in general. But once it was finally our turn we got in the little wagon.
"I can't believe the day is already over," I mourned and looked out the window as the wheel continued spinning in a slow and steady movement. "I had so much fun today."
"I did, too," Zaron agreed when I shifted to sit next to him. "We should definitely repeat it someday. We didn't try out everything after all, right?" He winked.
"Well there is still something missing," I pointed out.
"Missing? Like what?" He frowned. I sighed at him and shook my head before leaning against his shoulder. "No, tell me! You got me curious now." Though I didn't reply anything. Instead, I just observed his face by tracing his features with my finger.
"Zaron," I mumbled. "Would you grant me a wish?"
"Sure," he nodded. I released a sincere grin and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Okay then I'm keeping it for later," I licked my lips. "Now, what I want is a kiss." I was craving for it the entire day but I couldn't or rather did not want to accept myself kissing him first. There's no help in this anymore, I thought before asking him directly to kiss me.
His eyes were piercing mine at the moment. Only that I found it difficult to figure out what kind of expression he was making. It was something in between empty and casual. Well, until he let out a heavy breath. "Is that all? You just want a kiss?" What did he mean with 'is that all'? "You're quite cute, you know," he smiled, messing my hair up.
He pulled me closer and didn't hesitate to push his tongue in my mouth as I parted my lips. I felt how his tongue was brushing against mine and eliciting a quiet moan from me.
We both pulled apart in an instant when the Ferris wheel made a sudden stop. A long second passed where we just stared at each other until we heard noise coming from outside. Our eyes traced the direction in which the sound was coming from, only, to our surprise, three guys from the other wagon staring at us with pale faces.
I broke a tiny smile whilst giving them a greeting sign. That was apparently enough to get them out of their shock when they muttered something incomprehensible.
Zaron on the other side did not approve me giving the guys more attention than him. So he managed to initiate me to face him again before he pulled me for another kiss. No consideration, how insolent, I thought and smiled in the kiss. In that moment the ride continued again.
He sucked on my tongue, nibbled on my lips until they were tingling and slightly swollen. "Was that what you meant when you mentioned that there was something missing?" He cocked an eyebrow.
"Maybe," I shrugged, placing my lips on his again. He smirked and kissed me back. This time slowing down, leaving the kiss tender and passionate.
"Come on," Zaron mumbled against my lips. "Let's leave."
