《Leading Love [boyxboy]》Chapter 41 [End]

Wedding day~
"You look amazing," Jin smiled as he fixed the bow around my neck.
"I'm so nervous. What if I'm gonna fall because of too much nervosity?" I tried to control my breathing to keep me from hyperventilating.
"Relax, you won't fall. The old man will just catch you if you do," he winked. That doesn't make it less embarrassing, though.
"Now that you mention where is Dad anyway?" I wondered. The ceremony was going to start in less than ten minutes and I bet that everyone was already waiting, especially Zaron. So why is Dad still not there?
"I don't know. I'll contact him now. You just go ahead and freshen up your make up," he hushed me over to the girl who was waiting for me.
I pouted and went to sit down. "I don't want make up though. I'm already sexy without it."
"You should give me a slice of that self-confidence of yours, honey. But still, even stars wear make up all the time. It's just so they won't get oily that easily and thus look shiny on pictures," she explained as she used a big fluffy brush to put something powdery on my face.
"And how is my baby brother doing?" Ramon stormed inside the room, sprouting with motivation.
"Go away, you're scaring me! You look too much like Jin," I waved him away. Normally, they both look so different for the fact that they are identical twins.
Ramon was more that kind of guy who wore clothes to show of his muscles and gave too much damn about his hair, which is also why his hair looked absolutely flawless all the time with no strand sticking out. While Jin was rather basic with his usual messy hair.
And therefore, having them looking completely the same today gave me the creeps.
"Well Jin looks too awesome today, what's there to do about that," he shrugged.
"Complementing the looks of your twin is just being conceited and narcissistic," I rolled my eyes.
"You're damn right, bro," he winked. "Anyway, everything's set up and everyone is waiting outside. So are you... hey where is Dad?"
"WHAT?! What do you mean with that? Are you serious? No, you can't be serious!" Jin's voice suddenly broke the relaxed atmosphere. His eyes fell on us as soon as he dropped the phone call. "Dad... He doesn't think that he can make it in time anymore."
Once his words left his mouth, it took just seconds for it to sink in. That Dad wasn't going to show up to my wedding. That he won't escort me along the carpet as I always wanted him to. My too perfect vision of the happiest day in my life started to crack and crumble.
I couldn't help the tears coming up when the thoughts stroke me. "You mean, he won't come?" My voice was quiet. It almost came out as whisper dipped in disappointment and sorrow.
"No, no, no, no don't cry. Shit!" Ramon he cursed, trying his best to comfort me as I struggled. "Quentin, look at me!" He forced me to face him and meet his eyes. "It's gonna be fine, okay? It's going to be alright."

But it didn't help to improve my mood when the tears first dropped down my face one after one until they just started flowing. Heavy sobs overcame me as Jin came over to pull me into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry." He whispered and stroked my back. "It'll all be fine. Dad will definitely show up later, I'll make sure of that."
"Guys, what is taking you so long? The entrance ceremony should've already started ten minutes ago," Raven impatiently knocked on the door before entering. "W-What the hell happened?"
"You hear that? They're waiting for you. The love of your life is standing there waiting to marry the most gorgeous man in this world. You're not going to let everything go to waste, right?" Jin said.
I shook my head when the thought of Zaron crossed my mind. "W-will you be the substitute for Dad. Please?"
Jin smiled and carefully wiped the tears from my face. "Of course I will."
"Thanks." The smile quickly returned on my face.
"Seems like it's about to start," Raven winked at me with an encouraging smile before he left.
I had to hurry and prepare myself, also fixing my face while my eyes were still a bit puffy. Ramon had already left when Jin stood at the opened door waiting for me to take his arm. "Ready?"
"I doubt I'll ever be," I took a deep breath, trying to get rid of the anxiety and tension. We stepped a foot outside, walking towards the ceremony which was just a five minutes walk from here. It was outside, a green place close to the sea that Zaron picked. It was just beautiful.
"So, here we go," he smiled as the soft music was playing in the background. I could already see the standing guests from afar and also Zaron...
Jin and I stopped right in front of the red carpet. The exact red carpet that I wanted to have so bad. I got a glimpse of Jin who just nodded. It was only a few steps to make. Like a path directing to the rest of my life- okay I'm being too poetic here.
And as we were going to continue, the abrupt sound of a helicopter interrupted which instead of disappearing, mainly got louder. What was now? The gazes were quickly fixed to the sky as I was probably the first to look up.
"No way," I gasped, covering my mouth in shock. It was Dad winking from above in a classic black suit with a big smile on his face. The helicopter slowly reached the ground, well it was barely touching it, but it was still enough for him to get down before the helicopter flew away again.
"Sorry, it got a little late," Dad apologized as he approached me.
"Seriously you can be a real prick sometimes," Jin rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, I know," he scratched his neck in guilt. "I promise, I owe you one. But now, I take over from here." Jin nodded and took a step back until he returned back to the seat that was reserved for him.

"You almost ruined everything." I couldn't help that one tear that spilled over which I also quickly brushed away. "You asshole," I threw at him before overwhelming him with a tight hug. And that's when the audience started clapping.
"I'm really sorry, I'll make it up to you. It took so long to prepare the surprise for later," he justified as I let go.
"That surprise better be damn awesome," I smiled and tightly grabbed his arm that he held out for me.
The music that had stopped for a minute continued as we walked over the red carpet. The smile that spread on my face as we approached Zaron in front every body, I can't even explain how happy I was. And that blue bow suited him just perfectly, just as I thought it would.
"I knew you were a good kid from the first moment on," Dad whispered to Zaron as he took my hand and connected it to Zaron's hand, before he had to leave.
It was the wedding MC's part to start and initiate the actual ceremony once the music stopped. As for Zaron and I we couldn't help stealing glances at each other until we had to stand in front of each other.
"Before we continue I still have to say something." Zaron took the microphone from the MC. I frowned, widened my eyes brief after I realized that he wanted to give a speech even though we clearly agreed not to do one.
"Well originally, I was always made fun of the fact that I never found someone that I truly had my interested in. My sister had been already married with a cute little daughter while I was always by myself all along. When I think about it, I didn't really tried finding someone nor did I wanted to.
And then, all of the sudden, there was that kid. No sense of fashion, down right obstinate and terribly seductive."
"Hey!" I pouted.
"It took a long way, with a lot of ups and downs, many dangerous experiences, many unnecessary fights and disputes in our relation ship that lead us as far as we are now and it definitely won't stop either. But I'm pretty sure that it'll be just fine because taking all of the negative memories aside, more happy and joyful moments will follow from now on that we'll share with each other and which will keep us together.
I still remember Quentin's words at the very beginning. Just give it a chance. I'm fifty per cent sure you won't regret it. That is what he said. Therefore, I was confused and asked why it was only fifty per cent. So he said, I know you will totally regret it, but I'm sure you will love it even more.
And to be honest, I really doubted our relation ship at the beginning, but there is a slight thing in what he said that was wrong," he fixed his eyes at me. "That never, in these many years, did I ever regret being with you. That I am truly glad it came that way. And that now, I am finally about to call you my husband. Nothing can describe how happy you made me, I sincerely want to thank you with all the love that lingers within my heart."
His words automatically made me sob. And here I was thinking that I was done with crying for today.
"But not only him, dear family, friends and guests, you too, on behalf of Quentin and I, we thank you very much for coming and for celebrating this special day together with us.
It's nice to see that we have so many dear and faithful friends. With all your might you have made this festival as wonderful as we experience it today. Thank you for your nice speeches and gifts and good wishes. We were very happy about every one of them and thus, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything.
Today is celebrated, after all, it is the beginning of our marriage. We shall keep this feast in our hearts in a beautiful memory."
Everyone clapped their hands while I was wiping the tears of my face that kept coming. Zaron caressed my hand with his thumb and pulled me closer to whisper something to me. "At this rate I'll start crying, so please stop."
"Who's fault do you think that is," I chuckled.
Memphis, who was chosen by Zaron as his best man, came up to hand over the rings.
"Zaron Mendal, will you take Quentin Collister as your husband to have and to hold from this day foreward for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer in sickness, in health to love and to cherish even after the death splits you apart?"
"Yes, I will." He promised and grabbed my heart to slip the ring on my left hand.
"And Quentin, will you take Zaron Mendal as your husband to have and to hold from this day foreward for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer in sickness, in health to love and to cherish even after the death splits you apart?"
I put the ring on Zaron's finger and nodded. "Yes, I will."
"Then you both shall repeat after me:
This ring I gave to you as a promise of my vow to love you today, tomorrow and forever as long as I shall live."
Both our hands were connected, our eyes on one another as we repeated the words.
"Quentin, you may kiss your from now on husband."
I grinned and didn't hesitated to wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him down for a long kiss, causing the loud cheering and clapping to return. We didn't completely pull apart, having our forehead pressed against each other our noses nearly touching.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you, too baby." He smiled.
And at the end, a tear still managed to slide down his cheeks.
