Aiden was asleep when I came into the room, so I quietly went into the bathroom and took a shower.

After I was done I came out of the bathroom and he was still sleeping.

He looks so adorable all wrapped up in the blankets sleeping.

He's face down again. Everytime I see him sleeping he's face down.

He must really like sleeping on his stomach. I smiled to myself, how adorable.

I make my way over to his side of the bed.

I gently brushed the hair away from his face and stroke his cheek with my thumb as he slowly opens his eyes and looks at me.

I smiled at him then said "hi."

He smiled back at me and said "hi."

I swear my heart skipped a beat. Goddess I swear he's perfect. Thank you so much moon goddess for giving me a second chance mate, this wonderful blessing.

"It's lunch time. How do you feel about coming downstairs with me for lunch? I had everyone else leave the pack house for lunch except for my beta Xander, my third Marcus and his mate.

He sat there for a moment thinking about it then in a soft voice he said "okay."

I smiled big at him and backed away so he could get out of bed.

Aiden was right beside me until we made our way into the dining room. Then he seemed to slow down and was behind me.

I made my way to the head of the table. Xander was sitting to the right of me and there was an empty seat on my left where the Luna would sit.

Aiden kind of paused a little bit away from the table. I think he was unsure where he should sit.

I pulled the chair back on the left side of me and said "come here," as I motioned him with hand.

With his head down he slowly walked over and sat down. I pulled his chair in and close to me so that his chair was touching mine.

Just then Grace walked out with everyone's plates and a big smile on her face. She set a plate down in front of me first, then set Aiden's plate down in front of him. She put a hand on his shoulders and gave a gentle squeeze with a big smile. He looked up at her and smiled back.

He seems to feel comfortable with her which I'm very grateful for that. At least he feels comfortable with somebody here.

Everyone started eating except for Aiden. He just kind of sat there looking at his lap playing with his fingers.

I glanced around the table and noticed everyone kept stealing glances at him. I think they were trying not to stare, afraid of making him uncomfortable.

I put my left hand on his knee and gave it a gentle squeeze, rubbing my thumb on his knee. "Come on let's eat" I said with a smile on my face.

He looked at me and gave me a soft smile then turned to his plate and started eating without looking up at anyone else.

After a few minutes I cleared my throat and said, "Aiden I'd like to introduce you to everyone here."

I pointed towards Xander on my right and said, "this is my beta Xander." He looked up at him and Xander gave a big goofy grin and said with a mouth full, "hey Kid what's up!"

Aiden got that same cute little scowled on his face when he said that. He definitely doesn't like to be called a kid, I chuckled at that.

I then pointed to person sitting next to Aiden and said, "this is my head warrior, third in command Marcus. Next to him is his mate Zendaya."

Marcus nodded as he said "hi!"

Zendaya with a soft voice said, "hi Aiden, it's a pleasure to meet you!" She had a big warm smile on her face.

That really seemed to loosen Aiden up and he sat up straight and smiled at her. "Hi!" He replied.

That made me happy that he seemed to relax around them. I'm glad Zendaya's here because she can give off a nice warm aura when she wants which seemed to help Aiden.

We were halfway through lunch when I got a desperate mind link from one of my warriors doing patrol.

"ALPHA, We just had a breach in the west border by the river! A rogue just came running through. Alpha Michael and two of his warriors are chasing after it too. I'm right behind them.

It's heading straight to you guys towards the pack house.

The suckers fast!!!"

Marcus, Xander and I both shot our heads up instantly.

Marcus took off right away. I looked to Xander as he was getting ready to get up and said, "stay with Aiden!"

I turned to Aiden and said firmly, "stay here don't leave the pack house!"

I backed away from the table and turned my wheelchair to the right and leaned forward to shifted to my wolf and took off.

Marcus is fast but Zeus and I are faster. I passed Marcus just before he made it into the woods and zoomed through the trees. All of the sudden I seen this small white wolf come around a tree as we collided.

We rolled and snarled at each other. Both of us, clawing and biting at each other. Somehow it managed to get my back leg and bit down really hard.

It took a chunk out of my back left thigh. I grunted from the pain but I never howled or yelped.

This gave the white wolf a chance to scurry away from me and take back off toward the pack house. I gave chase and was right behind it. I have to admit this little shit was fast as fuck!

I would have normally caught it, but with the injury to my left leg it slowed me down a bit. But I was still right behind it.

It broke through the tree line and into the clearing and was heading straight for the pack house. My heart was pounding in my chest, all I can think about was Aiden.

I pushed myself faster but just as we we were approaching the front door Aiden came barreling out the front door. At the same time as Marcus tackled the white wolf.
