And light.
I found
Amal
My light.
My Hope.
I twirled a thick strand of her wavy dark hair around my finger. Her silky hair wrapped around my finger as she slept soundly besides me.Her hair like a curtain spread all over the pillow.
The white ceiling remained above me, utterly plain.Or it seemed that my eyes had become used to colours. The colours that painted ones canvas of life. The colours that were a beautiful emotion. An emotion only for those who wanted to feel it.Embrace it.Chase after it.
I was crazy. Not that crazy but the kind of crazy that I could be for Amal only.
That if she walks into fire, I'll follow her like crazy.
Turning my face to the side, I saw her beautiful face resting against the pillow. The light of the coming day welcoming us.The large window shined against the sun rays as they penetrated the glass, showering over us.Leaving her strands, I sighed deeply turning to my side.
I remained unable to thing of anything else except for the woman besides me.My thoughts strating and finishing on her.The office work didn't please me now.
Was this what Shahwar always felt for Salah?
Were things like that for Shahwar?
Did she always feel all those things?
I remained confused. What I wanted and what I was feeling.Damn this woman had me under a spell. But I couldn't blame it all on her.My heart was also blamable.
The woman from besides me moved in her sleep. My eyes glancing at her features. Her lips forming in a cute pout as she stretched her hands. Her forehead wrinkling in lines before she adjusted her head in a comfortable position.
Making a bad thought to cross my mind.
Devilish
Hovering over her, I supported my body weight on my arms not wanting to crush her under my weight. Our faces inches apart as I traced the side of her face with my forefinger. Her creamy skin soft under the hard of my skin.
" What are you doing to me?"I whispered feeling my heart beats pick up speed.Running my fingers over her wrinkled forehead, I eased off all the lines.
" Are you oblivious of the fact that you are melting me?"I asked in a whispering low voice.
" Are you doing all this on purpose?"I asked her again. Her sleeping form only wavering adorableness.
Taking a strand of her hair, I traced it over her features lazily, waiting her reaction.
" If you are troubling me by these emotions Amal Arsalan Khan then I'll capture you here forever, besides me"
I said tickling her nose.
Scrunching her nose, she wiped her hand over it.Smiling to myself, I did it again.Tickling her features with her long hair. She made an irritated face in her sleep. Not wanting to tickle her again, I did something else.

Leaning down, I pecked her cheek. My nose brushing against her soft skin.My heart leaped out as the urge to do the same thing again grew.Nearing her skin, I pressed my lips hardly on her cheeks. The softness of the skin inviting me as I closed my eyes. Her moisturized skin scenting of roses.
Pulling away from her skin, I leaned back only for my eyes widen.Large grey eyes stared at me like saucers. The long lashes curling up as the woman remained frozen beneath me.All sleep washing away as she stared at me with all her consciousness.
Oh oops busted !!
Her lips remained parted as my gaze slipped to her cheeks where I had kissed. Her skin bright red now where my lips had been seconds before.I opened my mouth to say something but a words jumbled up.
Two thin hands reached towards my chest as they pushed me away, almost making me loose my balance.Steading myself, I glared at the woman as she reciprocated my actions.
" Move away."She said breathlessly.
Narrowing my eyes at her, I held her hands besides her head.Securing with my own as she gasped.
" Leave me-what are you doing-"
" Chup."I said pressing her own fingers against her mouth as she fought me.
" Shsh-"I said pressing her hand back on the pillow.
" I am a gentleman for your kind information."I added quietly.
" oh sure."She said in a way she had never spoken before. Her eyes throwing darts at me.Anger wavering off her as she tried to free her hands.
" I was only kissing your cheek."I stated with narrowed eyed.
She turned her face to the side, unconsciously inviting me to kiss her other cheek too.Wheels turned in my mind as I smirked at her.
" If you wanted me to kiss this side too, you could have said only."I teased.Seeing the woman face snap towards me and her eyes rounded.
" I don't wish for anything of this sort."She retorted.
" oh yeah."
My eyes moved from her face to her hands. The bright colour of the mehndi standing against her skin. The colour like a newly wed bride's.A smile formed on my face as I left her hands but still hovered over her.
" would you please move away."She said softly this time.
I shook my head in negative.Amal huffed.Pointing my finger on my cheeks, I indicated towards what I wanted. She narrowed her eyes clearly getting the message.Stubbornly she shook her head.
Two can play at a game.
" I'll do the honour then."I grinned before making a kissy face, ready to kiss her when she gasped loudly.
" okay, okay I'll do it."She rushed the words out.Stopping me just an inch away from her lips.I nodded and turned my face to the side waiting for her to just damn kiss my freaking cheek already.

Soft breaths hit my skin, the shaking fingers reaching towards my face as my wife turned my face to the side.I anticipated her actions feeling her lips just near me.But two hands reached between us, pushing me to the side.I stumbled on my side dumbfounded. As the woman bolted up from the bed.
" what the-"I asked shocked, lying on my back.
Amal laughed making me jerk up on my place.Shrieking in between her laughs, she ran as I chased her.The once eerie silent apartment filling with her bubbling laughter as she ran with bare footed.Following after her, I laughed feeling the new day welcome us.
Going around the dining table chairs, her grey eyes turned to look at me.Moving towards her, I said
" Come here."She only shook her head. Her hair cascading down the length of her back as she sneaked from the other side.
" Urghh"Like little children we ran around the house. Finally as Amal stepped out in the balcony, I trapped her.Firstly sliding the glass doors and secondly leaning against them.
The woman turned around, breathlessly as she tried to gain her breath.Smiling softly at me, she placed her hand on her stomach.
" I am tired already."She confessed.
" uhm hmm."She had nowhere to run now.Pushing my body off the glass door, I took a step forward seeing Amal's eyes scan for an escape.
" No no no."She chanted as I took another dangerous step towards her.She turned her back towards me.Placing my arms around her front so that her back was pressed against my chest, I picked her up.
A loud whoosh of air leaving her mouth as she secured her arms over mine.My towering figure was enough for her feet to leave the ground as I twirled her around. Her laughter sounding like music to my ears. The cold wind kissed our skins as I effortlessly walked us inside.
Settling on her on the bed, I brushed her hair away,
" Freshen up, I'll make breakfast today and we can watch a football match later."I said.
She smiled softly.
" I have to visit Aunty today-its been days."She inhaled in a deep breath.
Standing straight, I pouted.
" Okay, but don't stay too long at her place."I confessed, her last times visit a fresh memory.
She laughed.
" Fine.I'll be back after dinner."She said standing up.
" I'll tag along then."I said walking out of the room as the bathroom door closed.
Its been a while since I met Aunty Shahana.
Amal
" You are telling me this now."I said offended. The woman before me smiled as her hand reached forward, the soft of her hand caressing my face.
" Arry, I am telling you naa, I didn't even get the time as everything finalized."She spoke.
" I can't even wait for Sikander bhai's wedding."I said excitedly.
Aunty laughed nodding her head.
" I have planned for a simple Nikah in Pakistan first and then Sikander can decide the rest of it."Aunty explained.
" yeah."I said wondering what a dark horse Sikander bhai was.I didn't ever imagine him marrying my childhood best friend that lived in the same town as us till the age of 13 but then she moved to another city.
A knock sounded on the door as it opened making me glance up.Sikander bhai came in.His form sitting on the chair placed besides the bed.
" ohoo.." I said teasingly seeing him look everywhere but me.His ears turning pink.
" How does she look like now."I asked him trying to act serious.Sikander bhai looked at me trying to stutter words out.
Aunty broke the silence, silently laughing.I joined her too.
" Congratulation bhai "I only said before he walked back out of the room.Aunty Shahana also stood up going out to check on the dinner.
Pulling the dupatta against my shoulders, I ran my hand over the bedsheets before brushing all the wrinkles out.Taking the ironed clothes, aunty was hanging.I opened her cupboard before keeping them in.
Thinking how lively and natural my day had started off.
What if life was destined to remain like this always?
Every girl imagines her life with a perfect husband, a perfect house, a perfect life.Where she lives happily ever after but I had never imagined anything like this.
Nor did I wanted any of this because I had the perfect home.
My home.Very own personal home.
I smiled to myself.
" Thinking about me?"A voice said making me snap my eyes to the door.My husband stood there filing the doorway. His muscular tall figure filing the space as he leaned against the doorframe.
I wiped the smile off as it resisted only wanting to get wider.Stepping inside the room, he closed the door stealing all breath from me.
" Wha-t are y-ou doi-ng"I stuttered trying to pull myself together. The husband smirked devilishly. His each step made the room look smaller, as the walls compressed. My legs turned jelly even when he wasn't touching me.My heart skipping beats.
" Shall we continue what was left unfinished this morning."Arsalan suggested.
With shaking hands, I clenched the dupatta.
" Aunty is gonna-"
Cold lips collided with mine, shutting my eyelids off.The words long dieing in my mouth. The idea of aunty interrupting us was thrown out of the window as my husband held me.What seemed like hours were only minutes.
" Amal-"Aunty called out from outside. The man had no plan to leave me so I pushed against his chest. His mouth tearing away from mine.Heat flaming my skin as I blush furiously.
" I was telling you the same."I said softly walking last the man hearing him chuckle.
I smiled opening the door,
It will always be YOU.
