"WHY WAS HARUHI WITH A SHADY TWIN AT THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE?!" I shriek as they come through the doors of the club room.
"Calm down, Tamaki-senpai." Haruhi sighed.
"We caused a little trouble in the science lab today. We only have two-day suspension, three detentions, and four days of community service." Hikaru says casually.
"... WHAT?!" I shriek louder.
"Where's Akane and Kaoru?! DID THEY GET IN TROUBLE TOO?!" I shake Hikaru frantically back and forth.
"Sir, relax. They weren't involved in anything." Hikaru says.
"But class just ended and it's lunch. I wonder where they are..." Haruhi looks around. I released Hikaru and pace back and forth.
"We must find them! Let us commence a search party!" I announce.
"Oy vey..." Haruhi muttered.
"
Okay, we didn't split up like an actual search party would do, but I didn't trust Hikaru and Haruhi being alone together.
We checked the classroom, the courtyard, the cafeteria, and every hall the school has.
"Where the heck are they?!" I say with exhaustion.
"Kaoru isn't picking up his phone. Neither is Akane." Hikaru reports.
"We should check the infirmary. In case maybe they got hurt by the glass." Haruhi suggested.
"Glass? What's this have to do with glass?" I press.
"We dropped a glass beaker." Hikaru says plainly. It took all my willpower not to strangle him.
"Okay then..." I clench my teeth and fury. "Let's check the infirmary." We walk to the infirmary and I slide open the doors.
"Excuse me." I poke my head in.
"Pardon us." Haruhi echoes. We walk around, observing every corner of the room.
"Check in there." I command Haruhi. Haruhi walks over to the area concealed by a curtain. She peeked inside and immediately popped her head back out.
"What?" I demand as Hikaru comes back from searching.
"Shh." Haruhi shushes and pulls back the curtain.
There was Kaoru, sleeping peacefully on the bed afternoon sunshine through the windows. And in his arms was Akane, also sleeping.
"AWW! SO CUUUUTE!" I cooed.
"Shhut up!" Hikaru and Haruhi hissed.
"Mm? Who's that?" Akane sits up and stretches. When she relaxes, she sees us.
"Uh... hi?" She says awkwardly.

The devil's got my number
Dalton was always a nice place. Always had been. When that new couple moved here, we were all ecstatic. They were wealthy, but not arrogant, always willing to help out their neighbors. All around the perfect kind of migrant. They brought a child with them. Jacob. He was beautiful, just like his parents. He had his mother's beautiful hair, and his father's beautiful eyes. But he was different. He wasn't social, or nice, like his parents. He mainly kept to himself. Until one day he didn't. Strange tales, of the boy running around the neighborhood at night started to pop up. Of sacrificing children and dark rituals. The average person dismissed it as just that, rumors. But those of us that had seen the boy, knew the truth. His eyes were no longer the deep, vibrant color of his father. They were the green of rot, his skin the color of a corpse. The devil had taken the boy, and, like a disease, he was spreading his curse.

My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.
