So our MC received the admission letter for a famous University, then he suddenly transmigrated to the 70s as an educated youth on the way to the countryside ^^; The person our MC/ML transmigrated to, is rich, handsome, has a good background. His family sent him to the countryside to experience life/sharpen his temper. Because he is so rich and handsome, a lot of girls are attracted to him, but our ML is very rude and blunt and made all the girls cry.

Meanwhile our FL is reborn. In the past life, her mom died. Her fiance, in order to get rid of their engagement and still remain a good person in the eyes of others, slandered FL that she seduced his Uncle/having messy relationships with men. He destroyed her reputation in the village and made it seem like the engagement being broken was all her fault. Finally, our FL couldn't take it and committed suicide. She was reborn before her mom died and this time, she wanted to be more independent and go out and work. (In the previous life, she stayed at home all the time since she has poor health so she has no friends in the village.)

Our very rude girl-hating ML meets FL and falls inlove at first sight. Then he foolishly chases her. Our FL is now wary with men (trauma from the last life) and keeps her distance. But after ML helps her again and again, she slowly lowers her guard. Family troubles since FL's Mom is determined to marry FL to the scum fiance. With ML's help, the scum's true face is exposed and the engagement is finally broken. ML chases FL again and they finally get together secretly cos FL's Mom has opinions on educated youths. Laters FL Mom pushes FL to a blind date (she didn't know it was a blind date) and left her alone with a psycho man. ML rushes to the rescue and their relationship got exposed but FL Mom THINKS that psycho man is a good prospective son-in-law so the mother and daughter quarreled with FL getting kicked out of her house.

Anyways, ML and FL are in a good relationship. ML also wrote to his parents that he found the girl he wanted to marry and of course, ML's Mom is opposed cos she didn't think that a 'rural girl' is worthy of her son. Laters, FL's mom came around and urged them to marry. FL & ML went to the City to see ML's parents and the other side also agreed. They got married and stayed at the countryside. They made a deal with ML's parents that they would go to the City after two years. 2 years later, the entrance examination is resumed and both of them passed and went to Beijing to study. The End.

You can treat this as a cliche romance, the rich/cold boy fell inlove with the beautiful poor girl or something like that. It's really love at first sight for ML so the romance is insta-love. Lots of foolish behavior from our ML XD FL rejected ML, first cos he's a man, and laters, because she knew that ML likes her. In the end, it was ML's foolishly cute actions that finally won her over (He knitted her a scarf/wrote love poems etc.).

Another cliche is the parent's opposition. What's especially frustrating was FL's Mom who would always say that 'she would not harm FL' but I dunno if her eyes are blind or something and would always choose scum men for her beloved daughter. And she would fight FL if she did not obey her decisions. She even blamed FL's friend for 'giving her ideas' now that she's not her obedient daughter anymore. =_= ML's mom as well keep repeating that rural girls don't know about hygiene/vulgar etc. But her opposition is resolved pretty quick after she meets FL in person.

Overall, this is a very...normal romance. No surprising twists and turns for me. The 70s background doesn't really matter much. I guess it doesn't make you feel the hardships? ML is so rich, he buys a bicycle on his first trip to the county, his family sends him a camera etc. Read this for a funny ML and beautiful FL.

Not making a separate entry, just adding this here to remind myself, I already read this. Another normal novel. Lol. Dressed as a Seventies Female Educated Youth 穿成七零女知青, I was able to finish it but I skimmed it for the most part. Its about a transmigrated MC who became the true daughter who was framed by the rebirth switched-at-birth fake daughter to go to the countryside. Anyways, MC became a model educated youth there, proposing projects to better their countryside life. Didn't really like it that much cos there were too many disgusting/annoying cannonfodder characters (mostly girls) who would always make trouble with MC due to envy/jealousy cos their crush likes her etc. MC's true parents esp. the Dad is also disgusting~ Not sure if the MC personality stayed the same all through out , but on the first half where I was reading it seriously (and not skimming), I found our MC's personality relatively flat. Like she's just observing everything, whatever happens has nothing to do with her. You can check it out if you want~~
