: Hmm.. From the same author as Everyone Knows I'm a Good Man, decided to check out author-sama's other works. Hmm... this is a bit mixed. There are redeeming scums setting like EKIAGM but there's also the counterattack setting of most QT novels. There are also Female Leads/Male Leads on the mission worlds. Mission worlds are usually novels.

- Original is a scum soldier who abandoned his wife in his hometown and was even planning to divorce her to marry the Female Lead. After getting into an accident that caused him to be disabled, his wife took care of him until he died. MC's mission is to make the original's wife have a happy marriage/family life. MC becomes a loving faithful husband~

- Original is a rich second generation who entered the entertainment circle. Targets the Male Lead cos he won a role from him once. Kills sister of Male Lead. Male Lead blackens and destroy original and his family behind him. MC's mission is to guard the sister of the Male Lead and his family's company. MC becomes a tsundere inlove with the Sister. Targeting cos ML they're 'love rivals' (lol)

- 70s(?) Original is the Stallion Male Lead. Abandoned his gullible ex-gf in his hometown. Marries a rich lady, enters her family's company, get together with lots of women (stallion!). After reaching the peak, his wife counterattacks, his mistresses abandoned him. MC's mission is to not enter the company of ex-wife and protect the original's mother (WTF). MC also included gullible ex-gf as guardian target. Went to Shanghai to develop and become rich.

- Ancient times. Original is a Scholar from a peasant family. Pressured by his family's expectation, he can only continue to study. Gets roped into the Princes' conspiracy on their fight for the throne. He gets a cheat sheet for the imperial examination. After becoming 3rd place, he was married to the Princess. Was asked to spy on his wife and his brother -in-law Prince. When his cheating was exposed, his family, wife and brother-in-law were affected. MC's mission is to become a Talented Scholar that his family hopes him to be, and to guard the Princess and MC's family. The Emperor is so frustrating in this arc. Gaaah!!!

- Cultivation World. It's a trilogy novel. The Female Leads/Male Leads of each book are so disgusting. Gaah! The original is the Heavenly Emperor. In the 1st book, the original's sister died. In the 2nd book, the original got amnesia and became miserable and in the 3rd book, its the original's daughter (from the 2nd book) turn to be miserable. It's a vacation world so there's no mission but MC decided to guard the original's daughter and of course, get revenge.

- Entertainment Circle. Original is an actor who wants to be recognized. Unfortunately, most of his fans are fans of his first role and becomes disappointed when the original in real life is different from his role in the film. (Of course its different!) Becomes crazy and decides that he likes his wife in the film (Actress is already married to the original's bestfriend). Kidnaps their child. Dies together. MC's mission is to guard the actress and to make everyone thinks he likes her. This arc was so funny, since MC decided to have split personalities every time he takes a new role. XD XD XD

- Ancient times. Original is a Farmer Father, with 4 sons. One with his first wife. Three with his second wife. (Original remarried after his first wife dies) Loves the eldest son the most. Unfortunately, the eldest son is not his biological child, but actually the son of the Third Prince (and he knows it too). Eldest son abandons their family when his real Father comes calling. Third Prince succeeded in the rebellion and the ungrateful eldest son becomes royalty. Original becomes crazy. MC's mission is to guard the Lin Family. And to make the eldest son regret abandoning them. #Spoiler. MC rebels and becomes Emperor instead.

- Republic Era. Original is an adoptive son of a wealthy family. His adoptive sister was married to a Scum. Scum divorced her after she just gave birth causing her to have complications and then die. Adoptive Mother also died cos of heartbreak. Original turned traitor then revenges on Scum. MC's mission is to stand with the country (not become traitor) and marry the original's adoptive sister. MC becomes a Marshal then later President(?) of the country. Remarries his sister and adopts scum's son as his own and they have a good life.

- Original is the grandfather of the Female Lead. His son is Female Lead's Dad. FL Dad derails from his marriage with his wife. After FL Mom dies, he marries a stepmother who bullied FL and her little brother. Lil bro dies. FL blackens, kills stepmom, dad, stepbro. Company is left with no heir. MC's mission is to guard the Female Lead and prevent her from blackening. 'Disciplines' his son so he would have no thoughts to derail. Another funny arc.

- Holographic game world. Original is a sickly young master from a rich family. Hires the Male Lead to level-up his game account and accompany his fiancee in missions. As a result, fiancee falls for Male Lead and abandons the original while also ruining his reputation. One of the most disgusting 'Male Lead' so far, considering EVERYTHING he has, from girls to teammates to equipment are all due to the original's money. MC's mission is to become #1 in the game, wait for the drug for his disease to be developed and also to prevent the Male Lead from harming normal girls.

- Book world. Female Lead is a rookie who can see ghosts, Original is a veteran in the investigation team. Cos of the author-sama's logic...FL dies shortly after rolling the sheets with the original. Original is unconvinced of his short book life. MC's mission is to find out who is the murderer (Author never gave an ending to the case FL and the original was solving) and also to guard the Female Lead.

- Interstellar. People has mental powers and their mental riots can be soothe with Food. Original has no powers so her mother abandoned him. He finds a recipe, gets rich from it. Lil sis gets kidnapped and the original is asked to pay them ALL HIS MONEY. Original agrees but lil sis still gets killed. Kidnappers/killers are the Mom and Stepdad cos they felt that MC only gave them a little money each month (WTF!!!!) MC's mission is to guard his little sis and his roommates without taking the getting rich route. MC focused on R&D and his roommates is in charge of the business.

- Original is a research madman. He was an orphan and was helped by his (future) wife's grandma to study since young. Laters, he became successful, married his wife and had a son. Then he rarely went home and threw himself into research. Later, original lost his son cos of his carelessness. His wife spent 10 years looking for him and dies in an accident. Mother-in-law also dies of sadness. Laters, his son was found but he's already an adult. He is mute cos of being drugged by the traffickers. Original does not like his son cos son is not smart/not for research. (??!!! He was a beggar for 10 years cos YOU lost him you bastard!!) Original remarries. When he died, he left most of his asset to the new wife's son cos that son can do research. Son revenges on mother and son, gets caught and then gets sentenced. MC's mission is to find the son earlier and give him a family that loves him/don't let him blacken. MC develops a gene bank(?)/anti-crime security system which helped him find the lost son. MC is a good Dad here~

- Original is a Prince/Emperor's Brother famous for liking beauties. He asked for a marriage with a girl but the girl was ambitious and wanted to enter the Emperor's harem so the girl switched with her sister. In the end, original married the sister. Laters, his Emperor Brother died and since there was no heir, original became Emperor instead. Now the ambitious girl regrets pushing out the marriage and seduced the original again. She also killed her sister's children. Then she was reborn to when MC just married the sister. MC's task is to protect his wife and children. MC opens up eyes that can see the 'inner beauty' of people so he is only attracted to his wife who is good inside and outside~

- Original is the only son of a patriarchal family. He has a promising sister but their parents are old fashioned(?) so they want her to stop studying, marry a rich old man to help her brother etc. Sister rans away from home and joins a singing competition. After she becomes famous, her family clamored that she was not filial etc/destroying her reputation. In the end, the sister was disfigured by a crazy fan. MC's task is to guard the Sister and let her experience a happy home. MC helps the sister join the singing competition and become famous.

- Vacation World. No mission. MC becomes a figure in jianghu. MC travels around with a follower who wants to do good deeds. They visit all the places that the follower had been to before/helped people before. In the end #SPOILER the follower remembered his death, and MC was actually ferrying his soul to make him willing to leave/reincarnate.

- Ancient times. MC becomes the 3rd son of a peasant family who was studying to be a scholar. When his father became sick, the 2 other brothers refused to pay for the medicine and the family was divided. His parents followed the original. The original marries back a wife to serve his parents. When he becomes a talent, he wants to divorce his wife so he...killed his Father and framed his wife for the murder??? (Sorry MTL) Laters, he married a rich wife but later the wife had an affair with other men. MC's mission is to guard the wife. This is from the System, the original's wish is actually to kill his rich wife and the adulterer XD MC comes in, becomes a filial son, loving husband and successful scholar/official.

- Last world. Vacation world. No mission. MC becomes a cat in a zombie apocalypse world. His owner is a crybaby but she is also very capable, can kill zombies/make plans/fight while crying. MC becomes a supernatural beast, can become human with cat ears. He travels with his owner and teammates.

- MC goes back to his own world. #SPOILER MC's mother got terminal illness so MC makes a deal with the System. His wish should be related to his mother's health. After MC Mom gets better, MC 'wakes up' from his coma and then counterattack his evil stepbro and ex-fiancee~ After MC Mom dies, MC starts doing missions again.

Author-sama is as patriotic as ever, and we can see her ideals~ like no trafficking or no piracy etc. I like our MC, less funny than Ji Changze (EKIAGM) but also good, especially at counterattack, also (just a little bit) less shameless. Lol. Most of his mission is guarding the wronged wife/family members. Favorite arc is Arc 4 (MC has the means~) and Arc 13 *sniff*

Going back to reading Scum Male's Whitewashing Manual, I never did get to finish that one.
