So our MC was reborn in 1976. Her Dad got into an accident and has a broken leg in need of operation, there's a tailor apprentice big sis, substitute teacher 2nd sis, mom & big bro are farmers. MC, lil bro and lil sis stays at home to take care of their Dad. How to say... I feel like she's not as miserable as other FLs. Lol. Except for the bitchy 2nd sis, the family is harmonious.

His Dad is the 2nd of three brothers, so there's a 1st and 3rd branch and both despise their family for being poor but the good thing is they live in separate houses so they would only show their face from time to time to be annoying. At least, they don't live under the same roof.

In order to cure her Dad, MC starts doing business (illegal!), selling eggs, mulberry leaves etc. anything that can be sold. After gathering enough funds, they send their Dad to the City hospital. MC happens to save ML's mom and they formally meet (They met each other before). After that, they would meet from time to time and ML would often help MC. Not that it affects the story since MC is already a mature soul from modern times but...I think they have quite an age gap since ML was already 29 when they met and he called MC a 'kid'. MC was.. 16, maybe?

Anyways, later ML realized his feelings and decided to wait for MC to be an adult. Meanwhile, the college entrance examination is resumed and MC's golden finger is her English knowledge and tests knowledge (MC was a cram/training school teacher in her previous life). She successfully tutors her big sis (and other educated youths) to pass the exam and get accepted in Beijing. She follows a year after.

She continues the poor-to-rich arc in the Capital by establishing a cloth factory with Big Sis and selling the clothes to street stall hawkers. Laters, they made their business bigger and they established a physical store, and then different branches all over the country. This surprised me a bit actually cos the usual order I see is to establish a clothing store and then acquire your own factory to supply your own store. (Back to the Sixties & 90s Parvenu Wife) while this was the other way around. Anyways, she also establish a training school for college entrance examinees (Previous life career). She also sells antiques, she also invests in technology (Walkman), became a Host in a TV show, writes books, established an entertainment company etc... She is living the FEMALE LEAD life.

On ML, they establish their relationship BEFORE MC went to the Capital. He is away most of the time (soldier!) and when him and MC meet, its always either lovey dovey or sexy time. He provides a LOT of support to MC though behind the scenes cos MC is so high profile with spending her wealth. (She's a millionaire in a time where 10,000 yuan households are rare). MC being low-key is just that she doesn't announce her identity as the business owner to close friends/acquaintances. Anyways, later they get married, live together in the military compound and gives birth to a little girl.

If you like cool text, you'll like this cos MC's female lead halo is fully activated. She's pretty, smart, (now) super rich, famous all over the country, has a harmonious family, hot ML, and her in-laws love her. This is very MC-centric, ML/her family are rarely mentioned unless MC remembers them. This also has many disposable cannonfodders, they would show their presence from time to time but they never really affect MC. Rather than conflict, they're just usually there to be faceslapped~ Same with the troublesome relatives that usually appears in countryside novels, our MC literally does not care about them even with her 2nd sis, much less her cousin, grandma, aunts etc. Aaannd there's surprisingly no backlash to her reputation or moral kidnapping happening. Our MC is smooth sailing on all her ventures.
