《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》Slight Renovation.

I fell asleep shortly after Gon left the room, and I really wasn't expecting to wake up almost an hour later with Gon himself petting my hair and a raccoon resting on top of me.
Gon had his eyes closed and leaned his head back against the wall, continuing to pet my hair. "Why, is there a raccoon sleeping on me?" I quietly asked as to not to wake it up and startle it once more. Gon abruptly removed his hand from my hair as he stared at me in shock, causing me to frown. "Ah, Ikalgo thought that perhaps it might... improve relations between you two?" He responded, expressing it more as a question.
"I guess it is kind of cute if you look at it far away and at an angle. I don't like it though."
Oh, how I was mistaken. The rest of the day was spent in bed with this wild, likely flea-infested raccoon. Once it woke up and simply crept up my chest and tucked into the crook of my neck I knew I had the two loves of my life right next to me.
Gon snickered as he saw the look of absolute bliss covering my face, watching as I rested my head against its body and silently melting away at the contact. "What were you talking about earlier? Didn't you tell me just how much you don't like her?" He teased, making me slightly blush and look away. "Fine, fine. Just take it away from me when it wakes up." I admitted defeat, resting with my eyes closed.
I sensed Gon shifting on the bed next to me and felt him wrap an arm around my waist, my eyes widened. "What the hell, G-Gon?" I gasp inaudibly while wincing as the raccoon flinches on my neck. "I might be abusing the situation, but you looked quite comfortable." He replies as he inched closer. I felt trapped, but I loved it all too much. When Gon lightly gripped my shirt, I profoundly blushed, turned my face away to hide the crimson on my face, and burrowed my eyebrows.

I tried my best to remain asleep till the rodent woke up, biting my lip and shutting my eyes yet again.
When I woke up both Gon and gremlin were gone. I stood from the bed and left the room in search of anyone else, which wasn't too difficult due to the shouting around the house.
"This room should be the living room,"
"We decided it was going to be upstairs in the empty space though."
"Holy crap TWO washrooms?!"
"Yes, two bathrooms, but they both have TWO sinks!"
Shouting between people on all floors were audible, ringing through my ears. Would this go on every day? Given that everything was black when I peered at one of the second-floor windows, I assumed it was late. Meaning I had slept all day. What the hell is Gon up to?
I stomped down the creaky steps and turned a corner, watching as he was removing the basement doorknob. "Wachau doin'?" I asked, he turned to me with a smile on his face. "Slight renovation. I found a doorknob in the basement with a lock on it and thought I should switch it with the previous knob on this door since it was bare." He explained before going back to screwing the new knob into the door.
"Geez, what's not in that basement?" I ask sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and grunted, "Not anything of real use, anyway." I glared as Ikalgo staggered into the hallway just at that moment. "Why did you think it would be a good idea to put a raccoon on top of me while I was sleeping?" I ponder.
He laughed while staring me in the eyes, as though it had finally clicked in his head. "You seemed to have been enjoying yourself a bunch. Plus you both were really snuggly when I walked inside to check on you. You and Gon both took the chance to hold one another as if your lives depended after I took the raccoon from Killua."

I blushed and looked towards Gon who looked anywhere but my eyes, scratching the back of his neck. "And he never would have known, but you just had to spill." glaring towards Ikalgo who stuck his tongue out in return, leaving Gon with a fake surprised look on his face.
Ikalgo approached me and took my hand, drawing it up to my chest before giving it a fist bump with his own hand. "You'll get used to me," He grinned, walking down the hallway and into the downstairs restroom, sticking up his middle finger as he entered. "Both bathrooms DO have TWO sinks, for real!"
It was around midnight at this point, and I sat alone with my thoughts on the kitchen island with a cup of water. That was until someone stumbled through the open doorway. "Hey Gon, there's something I wanted to talk to you about." A very tired Kurapika said.
Now, what is it? "To cope with the situation I'm in, I want to start a bet with you." He clarified anxiously. "Oh, alright. I'm always up for a bet. What is it?" It looked as if all the anxiousness flew out the window. "Great. Who will confess first is the subject of our wager. This means that you would win if you told Killua that you liked him before I told Leorio. The loser is allowed to choose a weapon from the other person. Is that a deal?"
My mouth hung open and then shut just as fast as I tried to think of something to say. "How- How did you know I liked Killua? And, aren't you and Leorio already dating?" I was shocked, to say the least. He laughed and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Well, you guys are really close... and obvious. I mean, I think everyone in this house knows about what you both have going on. Killua might even know, damn it."
He then sat back and became anxious all over again. "And, I'm not just going to be confessing my love to Leorio,"
He fidgeted with a silver ring on his finger which looked slightly too big.
"I'm going to ask him to marry me. To be my husband."

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.
