《Laughing Jack X Reader》Chapter 7

"You let her get away again!"
EJ growls stepping forward, clamping his hand around my throat, squeezing his fingers.
I couldn't help but grind my teeth and squint my eyes. I'm not scared of EJ one bit.
"You don't have to be Slenders dog EJ! I can take my orders and punishments from him. Not you!"
I snap, spitting on his mask. But that only causes him to growl in outrage as he tightens his grip on my neck, bringing his face even closer, my sharp pointy nose now touching his hard cold mask.
"You've a failure! Not once have you let a human get away! What's wrong with -"
Slender finally speaks up after being so silent. But EJs fingers remain latched around my throat, his head tilting slightly to Slender's words. I could practically hear the grinding of his teeth from behind the mask as he grunts in annoyance. Despite being Slenders dog he sure hates being told what to do.
I growl loudly at his words, yanking EJs hand off of my neck, taking a step back. I started to rage at the pair of them. Saying how I refuse to be dropped from this mission. She was mine and only mine only.
She is MY PREY!
But, the more I stare at EJ, the more an idea starts to formulate in my head. He never kills outside the cabin. He will always bring them back here to harvest them.
"Slender, permission to kidnap her and bring her here."
EJs head leans back and snaps in the direction of Slender, only to snap back to face me. He clearly didn't like that idea. Slenders head also tilts in confusion as his blank face glares at me.
I paused for a few seconds. I was prepared to be instantly turned down. Now I have to actually think of my answer to his question. To which EJ crosses his arms. Clearly becoming inpatient.

"Like you said. She's gotten away from me twice. She fills me with rage. So not only do I want her dead. I want her to suffer! Let me bring her here and torture her to death."
I thought my argument was pretty valid, but my answer just caused EJ to laugh hysterically. Honestly I don't understand why he found it so funny.
"You? Torture someone? HA!! YOU? Really?!"
He continues to laugh, holding his stomach as he does. I'm surprised he didn't go a step further with a knee slap. It's was weird seeing EJ laugh so much. Or, even laugh at all.
"Where are you gonna torture her? Your room is not sufficient. And what will you torture her with? You don't have any of the proper tools and you don't even have anything to restrain her with! How pathetic!"
He was practically hunched over resting on his knees to catch his breath with how much we was laughing. I couldn't help but grunt and roll my eyes. Slender however, still hasn't said a word.
He finally speaks up.
"WHAT?!!"
EJ instantly stops laughing and turns to face Slender. He has never shared any of his tools, they were like his prised possessions. He never lets anyone near them let alone borrow them.
But Slender doesn't say another word and teleports out of the room. Leaving a faint sound of static behind him. Furious, EJ slowly turn towards me, growling harshly as his hands clamp into a fist. But I just grin mischievously with a wink before turning and running out the back door into the woods, heading for the girl.
We finally arrive at my house, running through the door shoving Ash inside as I quickly spin around and lock the door.
Leaning my back against it and sighing with relief that we were finally home safe.

"What the hell [Name]? What's the rush!"
He laughs, walking away from me and heading into the kitchen. I quickly trot to catch up with him. I wanted to tell him about the clown, but I felt so 50/50 in how he would react. He kept trying to tell me my dreams were just dreams and nothing else, but now I know that's not true. Now I know they're definitely memories.
"H-Hey Ash. I um.. I need to t-talk to you about something.."
"Woah, you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost!"
He replies patting me on the shoulder as I lean and slouch against the fridge, causing it to tip and little and rattle whatever was on the inside of the door.
"Ash, I need you to promise me. Promise me that you will not laugh at what I'm about to tell you and that you will take me 100 percent seriously"
Looking me deeply in the eye, he nods his head with a smile, rubbing my shoulder to comfort me.
I try to gather my nerves before speaking, I was so terrified I couldn't stop shaking.
So I take a deep breath in and count to 3 before speaking.

Based on the description of traumatizing content, it's worth noting that this series normalizes tax evasion and other such crimes. Also is vaguely GirlsLove-ish.
