After taking a warm shower last night, you walked straight into your bedroom to sleep.
After Jaebeom drove you home last night, he explained to your mother that you were with him—which was clearly a lie. Although, you were thankful to Jaebeom for covering for you, your mother wasn't too happy about it.
She was convinced that you had been with Jaebeom in an attempt to seduce him. Obviously, that was not the case, but now she won't even look at you.
You don't understand why she's been making such a fuss about Jaebeom, especially when she knows you're still in love with Jinyoung.
Not only do you now have to deal with your mother's constant glares. You still felt irritated thinking about the events that happened at the bowling alley with Yugyeom.
You let him get under your skin, to piss you off. You just wanted to forget about it and move on, but you couldn't. He words, specifically the things he had to say about Jinyoung irked you—
You know what? You got your necklace back and that's all that matters.
It was already the next morning when you entered the school building. You quickly spotted a crowd of students hurdling together while freaking out.
You had no idea as to what was happening until you saw a group of girls squealing about something.
"It's Victoria Song! I can't believe she's back!" One of the girls squealed in excitement.
You approached Bambam and Jackson as they conversed with each other near their lockers in hopes of they knew what was going on.
"Why is everyone so excited today?" You questioned, only for them to stare at you in disbelief.
"You don't know?" Bambam asked with raised brows.
"Know what?"
"Victoria Song just returned from France!" Jackson explained, but that still didn't exactly explain why everyone was going crazy.
"Who is Victoria Song?"
The two boys both stare at you like you just grew two heads.
"She is one of the world's most famous models. She gained more popularity while she was in France." Bambam discloses with delight. "More importantly, she is Yugyeom's older sister."
"Step-sister." Jackson corrected.
"What? I didn't know Yugyeom had a sister." You said quite surprised.
"That's because you've been living under a rock." Jackson teased.
"That's an understatement." Bambam joined in, causing you to sneer at them both.
"See, we're not supposed to speak of this anymore, but everyone knows that she was Mark's first love." Jackson reveals. "That's one of the many reasons why the students here are so excited. They can't wait for the drama to kick-start."

"Really? I didn't realize how much this school loves drama." You said, suddenly beginning to feel intrigued.
You never took Mark as the type to fall in love with someone, but hearing Jackson's words formed a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach.
"Oh, you should've been here last year. The drama that ensued when Yugyeom found out about Mark's feelings for his sister." Bambam entertained.
"I'd love to hear about those stories, but I need to head to class." You state, making your way down the hall.
"I'll see you later, Bam." Jackson waves him off and follows along behind you.
You sit down in your seat beside Jackson and notice Momo was finally here today as she was out sick for a few days.
"Hey, Y/n." Momo turns around in her seat to face you, "I wanted to thank you for inviting me to Bambam's party."
"It was no problem." You smile.
"Although, I did take notice of you and Bambam while I was there." You lightly teased as a smirk tugged at the corner of your lips.
Her face turned bright red as you reminded her of that steamy make-out session she had with Bambam a couple of nights ago.
"It's okay, I won't tell anyone." You reassure.
"Thank you." She let out a sigh of relief.
"Momo, keep your eyes up front." The teacher, Mr. Lee, demanded sharply.
"Sorry, sir." She quickly turned around and bowed slightly.

You walked into the cafeteria by yourself as you couldn't seem to find Jisoo and Jennie.
You looked around for an empty table when you spotted Jackson and Bambam sitting down at Yugyeom's table.
You noticed a very pretty girl sitting next to Mark. She had shoulder-length dark brown hair and her smile was hypnotic as she spoke.
You glanced at Mark and was actually surprised to see the difference in his persona when he was with her. He stared at her in awe, like he couldn't look away, even for a second. Her beauty and elegance reeled him in and for once the distant look in his eyes was gone.
As you attempted to walk past them, Bambam called out to you.
"Y/n, come sit over here." Bambam says, catching your attention.
"I don't want to intrude." You decline.
"You're not intruding, just sit." He stands and drags you over, making you sit in between him and Yugyeom.
You look over at Yugyeom, seeing as he was staring you down with sharp eyes. But you quickly look away, ignoring his presence.
"You're Y/n, right?"

You hear a velvety voice question and you realize it was Victoria. Even her voice was alluring, you wanted to hear her speak again.
You glance up at her and nodded silently.
"It's nice to meet you." She smiles, revealing small dimples.
You were in such awe by her beauty. It wasn't surprising that she's a model as she is the possibly the prettiest girl you have ever seen. You could even feel your face flush a bit as she stared at you with such kindness in her eyes.
"I've actually heard a lot about you and I wanted to invite you to my birthday party." She reveals and your eyes widened slightly.
"Oh no, I wouldn't want to impose." You shake my head, declining.
"You won't, I promise." She grins. "I can even do you're makeup and hair, if you want. I have always wanted to do someone's makeup."
"Sure, I would like that." You agreed, smiling softly.
"Great! The party is this Friday. I will get Yugyeom to send you the address." She said happily and continued her conversation with Mark.
"Great." You mumbled under your breath as you eyed Yugyeom as he sat there loathing.

You decided to skip your last class again and head to the rooftop to get some fresh air.
As expected, you see Mark resting on one of those empty desks while listening to music.
You studied his features silently as you just now began to notice how good looking he is. You never realized it before as the thought never crossed your mind.
Ever since your last encounter with him on the rooftop, you couldn't get the thought of him out of your head and you have no idea why.
You can't explain this feeling you're experiencing as it's something you've never felt before. For whatever reason, you just want to be around him, to hear him talk, to see him smile.
"Enjoying the view?"
Your eyes widen as you realized you had been staring at him for too long.
He had one eye squinted open while he stared back at you and you quickly shook your head.
"No! I was just thinking." You deny, making up some random excuse.
He pats the desk beside him for you to come sit down. You could tell he was in a good today as he was showing more emotion for once.
"I can see you're having a good day." You state while walking over and sitting down next to him.
"Is it that obvious?" He asks blatantly.
"A little." You said while tracing your fingers over the old scratch marks on the desks. "It's because of her, isn't it? Victoria."
"What do you mean?" He asks and you let out a huff of air.
"You seem to be a lot happier when she's around you. I've seen you smile more today than...well, ever." You explain the reasoning behind your question.
"I'm still not sure what your getting at." He continues to act dumb and you could only sigh.
"Never mind." You said, watching as he goes back into a daze.
You smile, knowing he's probably thinking about Victoria again. It's obvious that he still loves her.
You flick him on the forehead harshly, causing him to snap out of it.
"Hey!" He looks at you surprised.
"Are you finished having fun in Lala Land, now?" You ask, beaming at him.
"I'm getting you back for that."
You quickly jump up, knowing he was about to chase after you. You run to the other side of the rooftop before he could reach you.
"Not if you can't catch me!" You thought you would make it to the exit in time, but you was too late.
A hand grabbed your wrist, spinning you back around. "Got you."
He pushed you against the wall, trapping you between his arms. You expected something worse than a flick for payback, but he had yet to do anything.
He stares at you, carefully observing every feature on your face. His gaze took your breath away. He was too beautiful.
You felt the cool breeze of the wind brush against your face and could hear the soothing sound of the falling leaves flying by.
Mark brushes a few strands of hair out of your face as a gentle smile makes its way on his face. His smile, it was so sad, yet you couldn't do anything to console him.
He slowly leans in, pulling your you closer towards him. You quickly shut your eyes, but paused when you felt him pull you in for a hug.
Your eyes shoot open, stunned and frozen in place. You did not expect to be Mark to be hugging you like this. You wanted to pull away from his random gesture, but something about the way he did it told you he needed this. Like some awful turmoil was about to arrive and this would be his last and only moment of comfort.
You slowly wrapped your arms around his waist, finally returning the hug.
Little did you know, there were two people who witness this whole scene just outside the door.

The Book of Rune
If you like moderately well-researched semi-medieval military logistics with some fantasy twists, and also conspiracy, and exploration, and violence, and maybe a dash of road movie, hey, Ruen just might be your thing. Plot-wise, basically there's a guy who got fired by Death, a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and a slave general who wouldn't mind retiring but ended up on a mass suicide mission. If you were looking for a less TL;DR version, a guy who got fired by Death meets a kid with pyrotechnic tendencies, and they try to get the guy un-fired while also trying to come to terms with death together (ooohhhh, look, I'm deep). Meanwhile a slave general does something stupid and ends up being sent on a suicide mission, and he tries to wreak havoc and save lives at the same time. The threads come together, I swear. This is a rough draft of a fantasy semi-book that I've had in the back of my head for some time. I've written a variety of short stories set in the world over the past three years, and I finally kicked myself into writing the actual story. Very much a slow work in progress. Occasional violence (okay, well, maybe more than occasional), occasional foul language.
