Jennie's pov
"Did you see Momo earlier?" I question Jisoo as we were nearing Bambam's house, "She seemed to be enjoying the fight between Yugyeom and Mark."
"She acted like it was a good thing." Jisoo states as she finally pulled into Bambam's driveway.
My face contorts into a look of disgust. I get that she used to like Yugyeom, but he rejected her. So what's her deal?
"Why are we here again?" Jisoo asks once more, unbuckling her seat belt.
"To see if Bambam remembers anything that happened at the party last night." I explain, stepping out of the car.
I walk up to his front door and just march inside frantically. Jisoo followed along behind as I made my way to his room.
"Bambam, we're coming in! You better not be naked!" I shout through the door before bursting in the room.
As I open the door, I look to my left to see Bambam laying on his bed with the TV playing in the background.
He seems to be in a lot of pain as his eyes were shut tightly, he was sweating severely, and his breathing was uneven.
Jisoo sat beside him, helping him sit up once he realized we were here.
"What are you guys doing here?" He chokes out, leaning against his elbows. He squint his eyes, hiding them from the bright lights.
"Did you receive this picture from an anonymous number yesterday?" I ask, pulling out my phone.
He stared at the photo for a bit trying to figure out who he was looking at. He rose his eyebrows in shock, realizing who the people were.
"Holy shit! Y/n and Mark slept together?!" Bambam exclaims with a new found energy.
"No, you idiot!" Jisoo spoke in annoyance, slapping him in the back of the head.
"Did you get the picture or not?" I ask again, impatiently.
I want to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. Y/n doesn't deserve to be set up like this. I don't believe she's the type of person to sleep with her boyfriend's best friend.
"No way, I would've let someone know by now," he explains, returning my phone.
"Well, did you at least see what happened to y/n during the party?" I ask with hopeful eyes.
Bambam went silent, trying to think.
"All I can remember is, one minute she was with Yugyeom and the next she was with Momo." He states cautiously, thinking it wasn't helpful information, but it was very helpful.
"What was y/n doing with Momo?" Jisoo questions.
"I saw Momo bringing her up the stairs. Y/n was drunk as hell, so I just assumed Momo was taking her to one of my guest bedrooms to let her rest." Bambam explains.
...wait a minute–
My eyes widened in complete shock. I swear to God if my theory is right-
"Give me your phone." I demanded Bambam.
"What? Why?"
"Just give it to me," I spoke quickly.
I snatch the phone from his hands as soon as he picked it up. Scrolling through his contacts, I found Momo's number.
"Hold this." I said, handing his phone to Jisoo.
I unlock my phone, pulling up the anonymous number. Staring at the two numbers, I finally realize that they were the exact same.
I knew it!
"Jisoo, let's go. I know who set y/n up." I stand up, handing Bambam his phone. He just sat there clueless, not realizing what was going on.

"Who is it?" He questions innocently.
"Momo."
• I •
"You ready?" I ask Bambam, making sure he was able to confront Momo properly.
He was obviously still sick with the flu and I didn't want him getting any worse.
"I'm fine." He responds before turning back around and proceeding to knock on Momo's apartment door.
He forced himself to come along. We told him to stay in bed and get some rest, but he practically begged me and I just couldn't say no.
The door swung open as soon as he put his hand back down.
"Oh, Bambam, what are you doing here?" Momo asks with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"We need to talk." He spoke sternly, pushing the door open. The view of Jisoo and I became clear.
"What's wrong?" She questions, her eyebrows furrowed with worry.
"It's about Mark and y/n," I spoke out.
We could see the nervousness break out on her face and I pushed my way in, grabbing Bambam's arm. He looked as if he was about to pass out.
Jisoo quickly follows along.
"Is he okay?" Momo asks with concern written all over her face as she shut the door behind her.
"He's sick." Jisoo responds coldly, sitting down beside him.
"We have a few questions to ask you. I would like you to answer them honestly, please, I can always tell when someone's lying." I inform quickly before getting on with the first question.
Momo sits down in the chair across from us, nodding slightly.
"First question, when's the last time you saw Y/n during the party?"
"After the beer pong game.." Momo replies, her body language seems uncomfortable and awkward.
"No. Try again."
"Fine, when I brought her upstairs, but that's only because she almost passed out at the bottom of the staircase!" She exclaims, telling the truth.
"How would she pass out so quickly?" I rose an eyebrow at her statement.
"Probably because she drank too much." Momo lies again, but I let it slide. I want her to tell the whole story first.
"OH FOR GOD'S SAKE! We know you're the one that set her up! There's no point in lying, we just want to know why! Now tell us!" Jisoo shouts in pure anger. She was so fed up, she just wanted to get to the point.
I look over at her in shock. I've never heard her lose her cool like this in all seventeen years of my life. I would usually be the one at my breaking point and she would be the one trying to calm me down. The roles just completely reversed.
Bambam looks at Jisoo like she was crazy after hearing her shouts.
"Okay! Okay! I'll tell you exactly what happened,"
A Couple Days Ago
I sat on the kitchen counter all alone with a drink in my hand. I became upset after hearing about Yugyeom and y/n's new relationship, which I now know was just a rumor.
I have loved Yugyeom for three years, yet the only time he noticed me was when he rejected me during the first day of school. I was so thankful for y/n helping me out that day, I thought that by her helpfulness that Yugyeom would have regretted what he did.
But he didn't, after that day he has been completely head over heels for y/n.
I tried so hard to get him to like me back that I even started dating Bambam, but like usual it didn't work. All he focuses on is y/n, she's all he cares about and it hurts, it hurts so much.

"Hey, are you okay?"
I looked up surprised to see Y/n standing in front of me. I gave her a fake smile to cover up my sadness.
"I'm fine." I smile softly.
"Come on, you can tell me. What's really wrong?" She questioned, leaning against the counter beside me.
I looked down at my drink, hesitating to ask her about what was really bothering me.
"Are you really dating Yugyeom?"
"No, of course not!" She states a little surprised by my question and shakes her head.
I didn't believe her at first, I thought she was just lying to spare my feelings.
"Why? Do you..happen to still like him?" She asks suddenly.
I immediately regret asking her, I knew she would get suspicious. I got really defensive all of a sudden and I don't know why.
"No! No, not anymore!"
"I'm with Bambam, remember?" I scoffed.
I jumped off the counter, grabbing a bottle of vodka. I left the kitchen bumping into Yugyeom on the way out.
"I'm sorry." He apologized, giving me a sheepish smile before entering the kitchen.
My heart began to make little back flips. That was the first time Yugyeom has ever even been remotely nice to me. I was surprised by how he apologized, he never does that. That just shows how much y/n was changed him in these past few months. It made me jealous just thinking about it, wishing I could take her place in his heart.
I walked up to the pool table, noticing Mark was setting up a bunch of red cups. I just assumed it was for another beer pong game.
"Can I play?" I asked quietly.
"Sure!" He smiled innocently, handing me a ball.
"Thanks!" I grin happily, walking to the other side of the table.
I turned and watched at Yugyeom and y/n walked out the kitchen, holding hands. I felt a pang in my heart.
I dug my hand in my pocket and realized I still had those sleeping pills Bambam had recently gave me. I told him about my insomnia and he gave them to me, telling me that they would knock me right out. I knew they weren't harmful as I already used a few before.
I decided to take this chance and put them in two of the cups on each side just to be sure y/n would get at least one of them. I was just hoping Mark didn't take any of them.
"Me and Yugyeom, against you and Mark?" I suggested as they reached the table.
"Sure." Y/n says, walking over to Mark.
"Yeah, that's fine." Yugyeom states.
"Good luck." I state mischievously, walking over to Yugyeom's side.
As the game began Yugyeom and I were in the lead which was a good thing. Mark and y/n ended up beating us, but it was okay as y/n drank most of the cups on her side.
I was a little worried though, because I just didn't know which ones.
When Jackson showed up to the party late, that's when things started to get a little out of hand. Y/n began to drink, a lot.
Bambam informed me that it was bad to mix alcohol with the sleeping pills, I just didn't know y/n was going to drink so much.
I spotted her almost passed out at the bottom of the staircase and decided to help her into one of the guest bedrooms. I wasn't just about to leave her there, I'm not that mean of a person.
As I helped her into the room she threw herself off of me, fanning herself.
"Why's it so hot!" She whined.
I was laughing at the scene until she pulled her dress off and threw it across the room, almost hitting me in the process.
"Now why in the hell did you go and do that!?" I shouted annoyed by her drunk stage.
"Its hot! njow ggo ahwayy!" She jumped into the bed throwing herself into the sheets.
She mumbled the rest of the sentence into the pillow, which was hard to understand.
My smile fell when I noticed another male in the bed beside y/n.
"Mark!"
He was out cold and not waking up anytime soon. I knew I fucked up so bad.
"Shit!"
I realized he must've taken one of the sleeping pills, maybe even both. I was in shock I didn't know what to do.
I looked back at y/n and noticed she had already fallen asleep. This looked so bad, they were sharing the same bed and were both half naked!
Until I thought, I could use this to my advantage..
It would be wrong, I know, but I might not have any other chance. It's the only way that Yugyeom could ever notice me.
Even if it makes me out to be a horrible person, I don't care at this point. All I care about is Yugyeom.
I quickly took a photo of Mark and y/n cuddling and left the room.
Present Day
"That's what happened and that's what I did," Momo finishes explaining her side of the story.
"and if that makes me a bad person, so be it. All I have wanted for the past three years was for Yugyeom to love me back. Is that so wrong? for a person to want the one they love to just love them back?" Momo questions with a pained look in her eyes.
"I've tried everything to get Yugyeom to acknowledge me, but he only has eyes for y/n. Even in class after confronting Mark, he still wouldn't give me the time of day. His thoughts only held y/n. I accept that now." She informs us as if a huge weight was being lifted off her shoulders.
"I'm sorry, Bambam, for using you. It was wrong, I know, which is why I won't contact you anymore. I'll even switch schools so you won't have to see my face, so none of you will." She looks down at her feet regretfully.
I stand up and sigh.
"Jisoo, call Yugyeom." I state. "Let him know we figured out what happened and we have proof. Tell him we've taken care of the problem and that he needs to apologize to y/n and Mark immediately."
I help Bambam stand up as I was ready to leave. He stared at Momo with disappointment in his eyes. He no longer had his gentle and sweet gaze in them. I knew he was angry and that he was keeping it bottled up.
• II •
Jaebum dropped me off at school the next day and said if anybody does or says something to me then let him know, especially if it's Yugyeom.
I was thankful for him, but I was still nervous to show up at school again. I didn't want to deal with all the hateful glances and the rude comments everywhere I went.
As I entered the entrance hallway, I walk over to my locker. I put in the code to open it and I begin to hear whispers from the other students.
I just finished putting my books in my locker when it was slammed shut by someone else, almost smashing my fingers in the process.
"Hi, y/n—!" Soojin greets me in a cheery voice, but Soyeon elbows her in the side, shutting her up.
"Aw, you poor thing." Soyeon says in a fake caring voice as she brushes my hair to the side with a pouty expression.
"What do you want?" I knock her hand away, already irritated.
She steps back with an arrogant smirk on her fave and crosses her arms over her chest.
"It must've been hard for you when you Mark, Yugyeom his best friend after agreeing to go on a date with him." She speaks in an innocent tone, tilting her head to the side like a puppy.
"I didn't sleep with Mark." I assert harshly.
"How can you say that when there's proof?" Soyeon questions.
I went quiet, not knowing what to say.
"Why do you care? It's none of your business, unless you also like Yugyeom." I state with a glare and she just laughs.
"Hell no." She grins at me like I said something stupid, "I'm not like every other girl around here that has a crush on Yugyeom. I just think the drama between you two is quite interesting..also entertaining."
"Y/n's right, this is none of our business. Let's just go to class." Soojin says, trying to leave.
I could tell she doesn't want a fight happening between Soyeon and I.
"Yeah, you should go, before I get angry." I speak more towards Soyeon than Soojin.
"She's got spunk, I like that. Maybe she should join our little gang.." Soyeon suggests sarcastic, but Soojin immediately shook her head.
"Don't involve her in this, she's too innocent to be in a gang." She states in a motherly tone.
"Gang? What do you mean by, your gang?" I question, not comprehending what she meant.
"I'm sure you know what a gang is, sweetheart. Your little buddies you hang out with are in a gang and your friends back in Busan are in one, too." Soyeon informs with a cocky expression on her face.
"..I don't know what you're trying to accomplish by saying this, but it's–"
"Y/n!"
"That's our cue to leave. You should think about my offer though. It'd be good to try something new." She adds before leaving with Soojin.
I was still confused by what just happened. How does she know my friends in Busan and how could they possibly be in a gang?
I mean, it's possible, but it just sound so unbelievable. It's hard to believe some high schoolers are in an actually serious gang. It's almost laughable to think about.
I felt my body being yanked around and pulled into a tight hug. I went still, not expecting it to be Yugyeom.
"I'm sorry."
I grab a fistful of his shirt and try to pull away from him, but he just held me tighter.
"Yugyeom.." I speak almost silently and he releases me.
I stare up at him and see a giant bruise on his right cheekbone from when Jaebum punched him.
"Y/n, you have to know I'm sorry for not trusting you." He states with a guilty look plastered on his face.
"It won't happen again, I swear. Will you forgive me?" He asks in a pleading tone.
I just stand there in the silence, not knowing what to say. What was I supposed to say? One minute he goes from hating me and the next he's trying to apologize.
"It's not that simple." I state, taking a step back.
"Then let's make it simple. Let's just forget everything and go back to the way it was the night of the fair." He says, almost begging,
"I can't..you know I can't." I speak truthfully.
It wasn't just the situation with him stopping me. It was also what Mark said to me. Mark finally confessed to why he came back and now I can't get that out of my head
"Y/n.."
"I'm sorry, Yugyeom, but you were right about cancelling that date." I voice and I could practically see his heart shattering to pieces through his eyes.
I can't go on a date with him and pretend he has a chance with me the whole time. That would be worse than just being straight about to him.
I turn around and quickly left for the rooftop, my safe space. I could let my feelings out there and no one would even know.
Once reaching the top, I slam the door shut behind me. I let out a deep breath, hoping to relieve myself of this oncoming headache.
"Y/n? What wrong?"
I glance up and see Mark walking over to me with a worrisome gaze.
"Nothing, I'm just tired that's all." I lie, staring down at the floor.
He pulls me into his warm embrace and I wrap my arms around Mark's waist tightly, wanting the pain to go away.
"It's okay, y/n..things will get better." He speaks softly.
"Mark?"
"Hmm?" He pulls away to look at my face.
I thought I could heal my pain by making one last mistake. I push myself up to meet his lips.
He froze at the contact, surprised by my boldness. He was hesitant, but finally kissed me back.
I wrap my arms around his neck, pressing myself against his body, closing any space between us.
He took steps forward, forcing me to step back against the wall. One of his hands held my waist as the other made its way to my waist.
"This is why you no longer go out with me?"
Mark quickly pulls away from me and with both look over at Yugyeom with in shock.
"You may have not slept together, but you sure as hell love each other." He scoffs, leaving the scene immediately.
"Yugyeom!–" I call after him.
I didn't dare going after him, not wanting to piss him off anymore.
Why does this shit have to be so complicated?

I sat on the couch doing homework, while Jaebum continued to do his paperwork at the table.

Apostle of the Goddess
A disappointed man dreams of leaving the confines of Earth and living adventures in fantastic realms...Suddenly, his wish is granted... Albeit in a far different way from what he could have expected. An isekai genre story with a few elements from LitRPG. The overall tone will be jumping back and forth from light to dark. Expect a lot of references to anime, manga, games, etc.It is written in first-person view and will contain a side-story using a "real-life" character. Initially, the MC will be writing the story as a true journal, so the prologue and first chapters may appear a mess of things that already happened, journal entries, and afterthoughts. A few chapters in, it will change into a normal, first-person manner retelling of what happened (storywise the character "Records" what happened to him). This is a side project of mine, so I will be uploading a few chapters per month. Chapters may have a severe difference in length (albeit I will try to maintain them around 3k), but expect the overall monthly word count to be not less than 15k words.Author recommendation, if you intend to follow the story, read the new updates once a month (counting from the day the first chapter is uploaded). Content Warning: I do intend to include a few disturbing moments to emphasize the darkness of the human (and other beings) nature, so please consider that even though some chapters (especially the starting ones) are kinda like a comedy routine.
