The days have been going by fast and there is still no news about Kai and Baekhyun. Something had to of happened to them.
That's not the only thing I'm thinking about though. The cancer has been really affecting me lately.
I still haven't told anyone about it. I know I need to say something, but I don't want to hurt anyone.
I've been feeling weaker and having less energy. I'm trying to remain strong for my friends and for Yugyeom. But it's getting harder as time goes on.
I was sitting on one of the school windowsills, staring down at all the people entering and exiting the building.
Yugyeom and Bambam were having a conversation a few feet down from me. This is our free period as we have nothing else to do.
Suddenly, I feel a light tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see who it was and my eyes widen.
"Baekhyun!"
I immediately hop down from the window, giving him a big hug. He takes a few steps back to steady himself at my sudden affection.
"It's been so long! I missed you," I speak, holding onto him tight.
I hear him sigh in relief, happy to finally see me again. But something seemed different about him, like he wasn't himself.
"I missed you so much." He whispers, taking in my scent.
"Where were you? And where's Kai?" I question, breaking the hug.
"I went back to headquarters for a few days to..discuss a few things." He informs and I furrow my brows.
"What about Kai, though? Where is he? I want to see him." I state sternly and he purses his lips.
"Y/n, Kai's de—"
My phone begins to ring, cutting off his sentence. I groan in annoyance, pulling it out of my pocket.
"Hold on."
I turn around and answer the call. I press the phone against my ear without looking at the ID.
"Hello?"
"Y/n..it's Jinyoung."
I freeze at the name I just heard. After all he's done, why would he be contacting me?
"Jinyoung?"
"I need to talk to you. It's about Youngjae." He says in a low tone.
"Okay? So talk." I state in a straightforward voice.
"No, I need to tell you this in person. Can I meet you?" He ask and I let out a huff.
"When?"
"Tonight."
"Fine, you can come to my apartment later. I'll text you the address." I give in, wanting to hear his reasoning behind the things that he's done.
"Thank you." He says before hanging up.
I turn back around to face Baekhyun. I sigh deeply before speaking again.
"I need to let Yugyeom know that Jinyoung's coming over. I'll be right back." I speak in aggravation.
Baekhyun frowns at the mention of Jinyoung's name. I could tell he was planning something, but I don't know what.
"Yugyeom." I call out, walking over to him.
"Yeah?"
"Can you come to my apartment later tonight?" I ask and his lips tilt downwards.
"Why?"
"Are you two gonna do the nasty?" Bambam interrupts, wiggling his brows.
"Shut up!" I shove him and he clicks his tongue at my rude gesture.
"Jinyoung's coming over to talk and I don't feel safe being with him alone." I reveal and both of their brows raise.
"What? Why would you allow that?" Yugyeom questions in a more serious tone.
"He said he needed to talk about Youngjae, so I have the right to know what it's about." I explain and he sighs.

"Okay, but just please don't go over without me. I don't trust him." He agrees and I nod.
"What about me?" Bambam asks, feeling left out.
"Don't you have detention?" I squint my eyes at him.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." He scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Anyways, I'll meet you after school." I smile before walking back over to Baekhyun.
"Okay, I'm back." I state, sitting back down against the windowsill, "What were you going to say about Kai?"
"Oh, um..Kai is—Kai's still in Daegu. He said he was gonna stay at headquarters for a while." He lies.
"How come?" I pout.
"Some new business with our gang. I can't really talk about it." He states, looking down at the ground.
"Will he ever come back?" I ask with hopeful eyes and he just shrugs.
"..I don't know."

After school, Jisoo and I were hanging at Jaebum's place. Jennie isn't here as she had already left to Hong Kong to stay with Jackson.
Yugyeom can't show up until later as his teacher forced him to stay after school to finish his history project.
"Isn't Yugyeom supposed to be here?" Jaebum asks and I nod.
"Yeah, but he's stuck at school doing work." I inform and he stands from the couch.
"Well, you two talk amongst yourselves, I gotta use the bathroom." He says and leaves the room.
"Alrighty then." I laugh, facing Jisoo.
"Y/n, what's up with you?" She asks, causing my brows to furrow.
"Huh?"
"You've been acting so strange lately..you're not your usual self." She states and I my smile falters.
"What do you mean?" I question, playing dumb.
"For the past week, you've seemed so lifeless and dull." She explains and I knew she was catching on.
"It's nothing, school has just been tiring me out." I lie, playing with my hands.
"Come on, Y/n, you only do this when something's making you nervous." She insists, grabbing my hands.
"Okay, if I tell you..you can't tell anyone." I sigh sadly.
"Are you pregnant?!" She exclaims and my eyes widen.
"What? No!"
"Oh, sorry." She laughs sheepishly.
"..I have cancer." I confess hesitantly and her brows raise in shock.
"Y-You have what?"
"I'm dying, Jisoo. The disease is eating me alive, just like it did to my mother." I speak in a gloomy voice.
"Can't you get treatment for it?" She asks, confused to why I'm not doing anything about it.
"Yes, but it's not guaranteed to work."
"Not everything in life is guaranteed to work, Y/n, you should still take that chance and try it." She says, not understanding and I let out a huff.
"If I do, I'll have to go to Japan to get a treatment that may not even work. I'd rather spend the rest of my time here with you all, than go to Japan and die alone." I state my reasoning behind my choice.
I notice her eyes pool with tears at my words and I look down feeling bad about making her upset.
"I'm sorry that this is the way it's gonna end, but you can't tell anyone..not even Jennie." I beg.
"Lets make a deal." She suggest and I stare in confusion.
"What kind of deal?"
"If you go to take the treatment..I won't tell anyone you are sick." She tries to negotiate.

"Jisoo, I—"
"Listen, do you know how many people you'll hurt if they found out you had died?" She questions, but I remain silent, "You say that you don't want to die alone, but you're still so young. How do you know if you'll die or not without taking the medication?"
"Just take the treatment, Y/n. I'd rather you try and have a 50/50 chance of surviving than not try at all." She voices her thoughts, but I just stare at her, not knowing how to respond.
Her words really got to me..the way she explained things made me want to actually fight. To give life an actual chance.
"Okay," I sigh in defeat.
"I'll give the treatment a chance.." I agree with her deal and she begins to smile again.
"But.."
"But what?" She frowns.
"You have to go with me. I don't want to be alone, just in-case..you know, things don't turn out good." I purse my lips.
"Of course I'll go with you, you're my best friend." She beams, pulling me into a hug.
"I love you.." I whisper, not being able to hide my smile.
"Aw, I love you, too."
She pulls away, pinching my cheeks..thinking I was cute. Suddenly, her eyes widen and she quickly removes her hands.
"Oh shoot!"
"What is it?" I ask, puzzled as she stands up in a rush.
"I forgot that I need to fill in my job application for that restaurant I was telling you and Jennie about." She speaks swiftly while grabbing her things.
"Now?"
"Yes, the deadline is 11:59 and it's already 11pm." She says, staring at the clock on Jaebum's wall.
"Oh okay, well text me when you get home." I state, leaning back against the couch's armrest.
"Don't worry, I will." She grins before exiting the house.
Jaebum walks back out from the bathroom and looks around. He sits down on the couch and I place my legs over his lap.
"Where's your friend?"
"She just left." I answer, using my jacket as a blanket.
"How come?" He tilts his head.
"She needed to fill out a job application." I state simply.
"You should do that, too." He suggest, subliminally calling me lazy.
"Why would I do that when I have you?" I ask mockingly and he gives a fake smile.
"Haha, very funny."
"I know." I grin proudly, as I've been using him as my money servant since day one.
"What are you gonna do when I'm no longer here to give you money?" He questions and I just shrug.
"Probably cry." I state sarcastically, causing him to scowl.
"Yeah, sure you will." He shakes his head, trying not to laugh.
"You're so cute." I lean forward, squishing his cheeks.
"No, I'm not cute. I'm sexy." He pushes my hands away.
"Don't lie to yourself."
"It's the truth." He argues, but I just shake my head.
"Nope."

It's been about an hour since Jisoo left Jaebum's house. When I suddenly remembered about how Jinyoung said he was coming over to talk.
I quickly drove home without saying goodbye to Jaebum. I was too worried that Jinyoung might've done something to Jisoo.
I walk through the hallway, heading for my apartment door. I fumble inside my bag, trying to find the keys to unlock the door. But when I reach the door I see it was already opened.
"Did she forget to close the door?" I ask myself and walk inside.
I close the door behind me and lean against the wall, kicking my shoes off.
"Jisoo? I think you forgot to close the door." I state, throwing my book-bag on the couch and head towards her bedroom.
I knock on her door, but there wasn't an answer. I open it and turn the lights on to look around, but she wasn't in there.
"Whatever." I shrug it off, assuming she's just in the bathroom.
I see no sign of Jinyoung showing up anywhere, so I turn around and head to the kitchen to grab myself a drink before heading to bed.
I walk around in the dark as the only light shining was from the Christmas tree we put up about a week ago.
I come to a stop when I feel my socks become soaked after stepping in something wet and sticky.
"Gross." I say in disgust, hating the feeling of wet socks.
I immediately pull them off and throw them across the room. I turn the kitchen lights on and my eyes widen.
Jisoo's lifeless body was lying on the hard kitchen floor. I watch as warm blood oozes from the back of her head. I stood frozen in place, not processing what I was looking at.
I take a step back as my mouth gaped open in shock. Brushing my hair out of my face, I walk over to her body, taking a closer look.
"No, no, no, no."
I found myself the floor, holding her still body in my arms, "You're okay, everything's okay."
"Jisoo, come on. Wake up, please.." I whisper, wiping the blood from her face.
I pull my phone out of my pocket and dial Yugyeom's number. I was in a panic, while waiting for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Yugyeom! I need you're help!" I shout, while trying to stop the bleeding.
"Where are you? And why are you yelling?" He asks in worried tone.
"At my apartment, please hurry up! Please call 911 on your way. Jisoo's been shot!" I holler, hanging up the phone and tossing it on the counter.
"This better be a joke! Open your eyes.." I state as my bottom lip begins to quiver.
"You're not dead! You are not dead.."
I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to accept it. But her body was cold, she wasn't responding.
"Wake up! Wake up.." I shake her body aggressively as tears start spilling from my eyes.
Deep down, I knew she wasn't going to wake up. She's been shot in the head for God's sake, but I couldn't lose her too. She's my best friend.
I slowly rest my forehead against hers, shutting my eyes. I begin to imagine her smiling face from when I first met her and Jennie.
"..I'm so—I'm sorry.."
I don't understand how one minute I go from laughing with her, to crying at the sight of her dead body in my arms.
After about thirty minutes the ambulance had shown up. They took her body away and I was now sitting next to Christmas tree, hugging my knees.
"Y/n?!"
Yugyeom rushes into the room and runs over to me. He squats down to my level, but I couldn't look at him.
My hands covered my ears as I sat there shaking. I wouldn't look up as Jisoo's face remained in my mind.
"Y/n." He says, but you ignore him.
"Y/n.."
"Y/n!" Yugyeom repeats for the last time, placing his hand on my shoulder.
I slowly remove my hands from my ears and look over at him. My body couldn't stop shaking as tears rolled down my cheeks.
He pulls me into his chest, wrapping his arms around me. He lets out a shaky breath as I grasp onto his arm.
"Jisoo—Jisoo's..dead."
He leans back to look at me as I couldn't seem to catch my breath. His eyes begin to water at the state I was in.
"She's dead." I whimper as my breaths were all uneven.
"I'm sorry." He pushes me against him again and the tears fell from his eyes.
He rests his chin against my head while he pet my hair. My eyes were all red and swollen from the water that wouldn't stop flowing.
I've never cried this much in my life and what's even worse was that this was the first time I've seen Yugyeom shed so many tears.
"Yugyeom..please." I cry out, feeling his teardrops fall against my skin.
"I can't do this anymore."

How am I Supposed to Save This World with No Power?
Wu Li was but a student trapped in a future he did not want when the Portal sought him out to become the Savior of an entire world. However, unlike any beings born in that world, Wu has not a single ounce of power within his body. Worse yet, he's the fourth one that's been summoned in history and he's got massive shoes to fill. With a beautiful girl acting as his slightly disappointed yet adorable guardian, a smoking hot rivalling bounty hunter from the High societies out to take his head, and countless other encounters along the way, Wu fights on to become the greatest of the four saviors, while seeding this world with...the principles of science. This is a story set in a world with a rich history of the magic power known as the Wave, and all native species are capable of interacting with the Wave to obtain power in a variety of ways. Think of this as a combination of Dr Stone and Black Clover! I am writing this story using similar structures to anime seasons, and the chapters in itself are structured more like manga chapters. The first two seasons are already planned out, and it is likely going to be daily upload (12 noon EST) of chapters from ~ 2 k words in length during the 'season' when there is backlog of chapters, with a week or two of a break in between seasons if no backlog. If you liked this story, please drop a rating and review. If you hated it, please drop a review and help me get better. Don't just spam a 0.5 rating and leave like a coward lol.

Everyone is a Superhero! Apart from me
Welcome to Loktharma, where everybody is a superhero from birth. That makes Eugene De Lavet the most special of them all. At eighteen years old, he still has no clue what his superpower is. Loktharma has never been a fair world. There are Worldbreakers who were born to brandish the power of the universe, warp time-space, destroy lands and continents. There are Craftmasters who control the elements and terrorize countries with their might and wits. There are Commoners who are only gifted with power for the finer arts, architecture, military arts, or small-scale elemental manipulation. Even in an unjust world like Loktharma, there is always one constant: everyone is assigned a Flair since birth; the power to do something extraordinary. And then there's Eugene. He's been running around in a secluded forest since birth, training and sparring his ass off. While he can wield a blade better than most at his age, he certainly can't throw a giant boulder using the power of his mind, or turn his skin into diamonds. He has no Flair, no purpose for leveling up his stats, and no idea why General Rizeni Baggardo keeps him confined inside a forest for eighteen years. At least until Lord Pyro—the Craftmaster of Tailiah—unleashes his fury on the forest, searching for a treasure Eugene doesn't even know exists. On a frantic escape for his life, Eugene starts to realize he was a part of something he's been completely oblivious to until now. Along with his companions, Melodi and Azra, he travels the land and unveils the secrets of the world. [The story will be told primarily through the lenses of three main characters, with occasional side character POV chapters. It also draws inspiration from Japanese shounen. So only proceed if you're cool with these aspects.]
