《Got7 Imagines》Jackson - Drive pt 2

You typed away at your computer, completely concentrated on your work.
You heard someone knock at your door and without looking up you told the person,"Come in."
"Are you working late?" You heard the person say and looked up to see Jackson standing in the doorway of your small private room.
You smiled at him and nodded, saying, "Yeah."
Jackson frowned at your words and told you, "You should go home."
You leaned into your chair and said, "You should go home too."
Jackson walked into the room and sat on the chair beside you. He raised his right hand and cupped your cheek, caressing it. Leaning in and pulling you closer at the same time, Jackson slowly kissed your lips, as if he was savoring every moment.
You slowly pulled away after a while, staying close enough that you could feel Jackson's breath on you.
"If you work late then you might get sick," Jackson told you.
You raised an eyebrow and said, "Look who's talking."
Jackson made a clicking sound with his tongue and said, "I'm serious."
"I'm serious too," You told him, rolling your chair back, putting some distance between the two of you.
"I'm different. This is what I do. But you don't stay awake late. You should go home," Jackson said, crossing his arms across his chest.
You titled your head to the side as you took in his words. "This is what I do too. Just because you've noticed me now doesn't mean that I've never stayed late for work before."
"Look, that's not what I meant. I know you can do it, but I just don't want you to stay late for me," Jackson said, sensing the aggravation in your voice.

"For you?" You repeated, getting up from your chair and walking around the table, "This is my job. I'm not staying at late for anyone. I'm staying because it's my job and like any job, I have deadlines to meet."
"Then I'll change them," Jackson said.
You turned around to face him and asked, "What?"
"Your deadlines. I'll change them. Technically, I'm your boss so I can change the deadlines whenever I want," Jackson told you.
"What? No! You can't do that Jackson. It's not fair on anyone else. Just because we're together doesn't mean you can go easy on me. We agreed that in the workplace we're just going to people who work together and you're breaking that," You pointed out, raising your voice a bit.
"I'm not just going to stand and watch while you overwork yourself," Jackson said, getting angry himself too.
"You overwork yourself too," You pointed out.
Jackson let out an aggravated sigh and ran a hand through his hair, making it messy. "Look. Let's not fight. Please Just go home."
You crossed your hands across your chest and said, "No."
"Go home,"
"No."
"Y/N"
"I'm not going to go Jackson."
"Why are you being so difficult?"
"I'm not going to go until I finish my work," You say firmly, standing your ground.
"Is this how you're going to be like," Jackson said. You just stood there not saying anything but not moving either.
Jackson clearly got your message and said, "Fine! Overwork yourself as you wish."
Jackson left the room, making a point of his anger by slamming the door behind you, making you flinch.
However you were far too angry to calmly think over what just happened and stormed to your chair, resuming your work again. You continued working, never stopping to take a break and even when you finished your goal for today, you continued to work, wanting to prove to Jackson that you can work late.

When you finally took a break, you glanced at the clock and were surprised to see it being past one. You were pretty sure you and Jackson were the only ones left at the studio at this point.
You decided that it's probably better to go home now, as you lived with your mom, who will no doubt will scold you endlessly for coming home very late.
You started packing up to leave and mentally braced yourself for the lecture you will have to listen to tomorrow morning from your mother.
You walked to the elevator and stopped as you saw Jackson walking towards the elevator from the other direction as well. He had seen you as well and said nothing and instead continued walking and stood in front of the elevator. You gripped your sling bag harder and walked until you were standing next to him, keeping a safe distance between you both.
The elevator dinged, indicating that it had reached the floor and the two of you stepped inside.
"Tired?"Jackson asked you, pressing the basement button.
"Not at all," You said, looking straight ahead.
"Doesn't seem like it, "Jackson said.
You held back a sigh and instead said, "I don't want to worry my mother."
An awkward silence fell over the two and an elevator ride has never seemed loner to you before. As you stepped out, Jackson held you back by lightly grabbing your wrist and softly saying, "Let me at least drive you home. It's too late and dangerous. For anyone."
You were about to decline but suddenly felt tired from arguing and decided to just agree along with Jackson.
As you sat inside the car and Jackson turned the car on, you unconsciously yawned.
Jackson looked at you and said, "You shouldn't overwork yourself. Now look how tired you are."
"I'm not tired," You decline and yet your actions were saying another thing as you yawned once more.
"Yes and I'm Santa Claus," Jackson said, rolling his eyes.
"You are?" You said, your brain starting to close down.
"Promise me you're not going to overwork yourself again," Jackson said.
You looked at him and said, "Only if you promise me that you're going to start taking better care of your health."
Jackson looked at your half-asleep state and nodded his head, saying, "I promise."
"Good. Because I don't wanna fight anymore," You said, fluttering your eyelids
You felt Jackson caress your hair and say, "I don't want to fight anymore too."
You hummed in reply as your eyes closed themselves. Right before you fell asleep you heard Jackson say, "Sleep tight my princess."
