For the past few weeks, changes happened, especially to Jimin and her instructor. Their teacher-student relationship may still be there, but the fact that they already became friends outside the university is an improvement, and something that Jimin can be proud of, and made her happy.
The Japanese noticed how her friend and their instructor grew closer as days passed by. And, she also witness how happy Jimin was whenever she was with their instructor, or whenever she tell stories about her. The Japanese just always listened, she was just always there for her best friend, supporting her all the way. But, she still cannot shrug the fact that the things that the two were doing can lead into something that may destroy the two of them.
"Aeri-yah, here I bought you macchiato!" Jimin cheerfully said as she hand the macchiato on the Japanese. Aeri smiled at her friend, and the cup of cappuccino did not escape her eyes. for Miss Kim again
And, yes, for the past few weeks, Jimin has always bought coffees for the instructor. Be it iced or hot, in the morning or lunch breaks, Jimin never fail. Sometimes, she would bring her food and such. Those things just always made the Japanese chuckle, saying Jimin was already acting like a girlfriend to the instructor. Of course, Jimin would blush, but eventually glare her, saying that someone would heard her, and start rumors.
"why haven't you given that to her yet?" Aeri asked her friend who was sipping her espresso. And, another thing that changed and made the japanese surprised, is that Jimin started drinking and liking coffees which she did not like before. Sure, Jimin drink coffee before, but she was just only tasting them. However, ever since she learned that their instructor loves coffee, Jimin started drinking them too, and she's slowly becoming a coffee person. The strawberry drink was already forgotten by her taste buds.

"I still haven't see her around" Jimin shortly answered, while Aeri nodded.
But, all throughout the day, their instructor was out of sight. Jimin did not see any traces of her, not even her shadow. That made Jimin kinda blue.
"stop pouting there, jimin-ah. for sure, you'll see her tomorrow" the japanese said as she put her things inside her bag, and was ready to leave. Their last class was done, all of their block mates already left the room, except the two of them.
"maybe" jimin murmured
"yah, don't be like that. it makes me want to punch you. anyway, did you bring your motorcycle today?" she asked, Jimin nodded, and was still pouting.
"Good then, cause I won't be able to drop you home. Mom asked me to pick her up from her friend's house" the japanese could smile apologetically before they left the room.
On her way home, an idea suddenly popped on Jimin's mind. Instead of heading straight home, she quickly took a turn to head on the instructor's place. Jimin just wanted to know if the woman got sick or anything. Few rings of door bell, the still hasn't open. Maybe she's not home, she thought
Seconds later, Jimin finally gave up, and started walking away with her shoulders down. She cannot help but worry, and maybe, miss her too.
"Jimin?" she heard a familiar voice, Jimin turned her head, and there she saw the instructor inside the elevator. Jimin was surprised. or maybe, both of them were surprised to see each other.
"what are you doing here?" the instructor asked as she got out of the elevator. She was on her casual fits, and on her hand was a carry-on. she must've went somewhere, Jimin thought
"I-i thought you were sick that's why I went here" Jimin responded, almost whispering.
"oh. I just went to my parents' house today. Sorry, I forgot to tell you" the instructor opened the door, let Jimin inside. She put her things down, and went to the kitchen. "did you eat already?" she asked, peeking from the kitchen. Jimin shook her head, and it was signal for the instructor to start cooking dinner.

"you can turn on the TV and watch anything you like, while I cook dinner" after that, the instructor finally focused on cooking their dinner. Good thing, she's a good cook and there were ingredients, if not they'll end up ordering fast food.
With the delicious aroma of steak coming from the kitchen, Jimin's stomach growled.
The presence that Jimin did not notice that was already behind her, chuckled. "hungry, huh?" Jimin turned to the owner of the voice, but she wished she just did not. She just wanted to disappear, and lock herself inside her room.
"just hang in there, it's almost done" and she left for kitchen again. Few minutes later, the instructor called her to come over the dining, which Jimin did.
Everything were also arranged and served, all Jimin has to do is eat and enjoy the steak that looks like it was ordered from a high-end restaurant. Sure, the instructor must be really a good cook.
"so, how did your day go, Miss Yu?" the instructor started as she cut the steak into pieces before exchanging it with Jimin's.
"not really well" Jimin answered shortly.
"Why? Is it because I was not around?" the instructor grinned as she stared at the at the flustered woman across her. Jimin was frozen on her spot, blood were rushing on her face, and butterflies were having a party on her stomach. dmn you, Kim!
But when Jimin finally recovered, a bit of boldness entered her body. She met the orbs of her instructor, and grinned back at her
"Yes, but being here with you now, just made my day better"
The instructor still got the cocky grin painted on her face, but the ears that were turning bright red did not escape Jimin's eyes. got you, Kim
"What are you watching?" Minjeong asked as she sat beside Jimin. She just went to wash, letting Jimin choose what movie to watch. To what it seems to her, it was a romantic film or anything that will make the soft viewers bawl their eyes out.
"Be with you" Jimin answered without taking her eyes off the TV. She was already comfortable on her spot, covered with blanket that the intructor handed her. Minjeong smiled at the sight.
An hour of watching the film, Minjeong already heard series of whines and sniffs from the woman beside her. Her eyes were already puffed from nonstop crying from heart wrenching scenes, especially when the male lead finally discovered the diary of her wife. The instructor chuckled, and turned to Jimin
"you okay?" she asked
"Do I look like I'm okay to you?" Minjeong once again chuckled
"Yes?" Jimin glared at her before focusing on the film again.
The instructor remained staring at the woman, her smile did not falter. She was loving the sight she was seeing, or maybe the woman she was staring at.
"Miss Yu" she called her, Jimin answered "yes?" with her eyes still focused on the movie.
"Jimin-ah" Minjeong once again called the woman, and that finally made Jimin turn to her direction with her furrowed brows.
"Yes, Miss Kim?" Jimin asked. But instead of answering, Minjeong just moved closer and closer to the woman who had her eyes wide open, but eventually closed her eyes as she wait for the next thing to happen. However, it only made Jimin disappointed as the thing she was expecting did not happen.
"I-i should get you home now, Miss Yu"

The friends found themselves home in the real world, exactly as they'd been the night they were taken, as if no time had passed... except only three came back. Hi there! This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Legend of the Seven
Humans were cast out of Eden for committing the original sin. Now Seven will answer, should Humanity live forever? But first, join Team Six in their rescue mission turned daring prison break from death. Author's Corner: Welcome to the Legend of the Seven series #LOTSseries, my Guardians. This is my first novel turned webnovel. I'm returning to this fictional world after a 6-year hiatus with a lot of personal growth and insight. Insights gained from being a lifetime reader.I was the kid who read Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I was the new adult who read I Shall Seal the Heavens and Ark. I've lost count of how many fictional worlds I've visited and lived through for I grew up on western novels but discovered eastern novels in my college years. This is my attempt to marry those two literary styles. It's my hope that this journey becomes more than just a book. If you're reading this simply expecting an ego power trip then turn back. There'll be action but with a lot of metaphysics and discussion on life with its accompanying issues. I strive to ground and make this webnovel relatable with verisimilitude. This webnovel is about choice. Freewill and its consequences. I give my characters autonomy to do and be themselves which sometimes leads to me rewriting and replotting because of pleasant surprises from my characters. Even the character who dies within the chapter they are introduced can have a massive impact with several ripples. So, there'll be stories on love and loss, hope and despair, but most importantly, it'll be a story. Release schedule: M, W, F - I aim for afternoon (1pm to 6pm) MST. I'm working on a project, codenamed "Guides' Sanctum", to make LOTSseries even more alive with special voice-overs, extra stories, behind the scene stuff, and so much more. But it can only come online when certain benchmarks are reached. The listed goals will help us get there.
