In the past few days Jungkook had ached to reach for his phone and call her. He wanted to hear her voice. But something stopped him every time. Perhaps it was the disappointment he'd felt, though he wouldn't accept it, when she hadn't stopped him from leaving her apartment in a hurry.. did none of his efforts matter to her?
Despite being mad at her, when they had been in the changing room alone he'd wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch her.. but he'd stopped himself.
Jungkook found himself walking back and forth in front on a closed door. He didn't want what he would do when the door opened. Taking a deep breath he stopped his pacing and lifted his hand to knock on the door.. his hand hovering inches from the door.
Just then..
*****
Namjoon slumps in his chair exhausted from having worked continuously without a proper break. He could feel someone standing right outside his studio.. the sound of constant pacing had given it away.
He patiently waits for the door to open or a knock to sound. But nothing comes.
Giving up he finally gets up and walks to the door to open it himself and is quite surprised to see Jungkook standing there with his hand raised ready to knock.
At the sight of Namjoon Jungkook immediately drops his hand to his side and straightens up, "Umm.. hyung.. I.." Jungkook suddenly looks uncomfortable and lost, he swings his arms back and forth to look casual but fails miserably.
Namjoon could remember first meeting the boy. His doe like eyes glued to the floor and never looking up. Namjoon had also noticed a particular habit of the maknae during their years as trainees: he'd wait till everyone had gone to bed to shower. The habit was peculiar to say the least but was one of the reasons why he'd taken a special liking towards the youngest... His innocence.

Namjoon being the father figure of the group had practically seen the boy grow up before his eyes. In their early years as a group Jungkook had looked up to the leader for guidance and would always turn to him when conflicted. But a few years ago Namjoon had detected a change in his behaviour.. he had become more guarded and didn't seem to care for another's opinions. Namjoon felt responsible for this somehow as he knew something had happened..
"Did you want something?" Namjoon asks raising his eyebrows in curiosity.
Jungkook peeps into the studio over his hyung's shoulder, "Are you working on something?"
"Oh yeah.. come on in."
Jungkook follows this hyung in and sits down. He looks around the studio like it is his the first time there. Music vibrates through the room, bouncing off of the walls of the small studio. His eyes comb through the room.. the cabinet where Namjoon's collection sits, the equipment and crushed papers littering the floor of the studio.
"Jungkook-ah..?" Namjoon's tentative voice causes Jungkook to look him in the eye.
"So... is this what you're working on? It sounds good actually." The younger says bobbing his head to the music trying his best to avoid mentioning his true intentions.
"Jungkook" Namjoon's eyes soften "This is your song: Magic Shop." He says smiling kindly.
Jungkook's eyes widened and he looks around the room again. He reaches a hand and begins rubbing the back of his neck; a nervous habit. "Actually Hyung, I wanted to ask you something." He finally musters up the courage and is surprised by how easy it is to talk to Namjoon.
"Ask me something?" He says, staring at the other. But at the same time feels happy that Jungkook turned to him.
"It's for a friends actually.." Jungkook's voice trails off and he looks away in embarrassment.

Namjoon raises an eyebrow. "A friends, huh?" His voice has a teasing undertone.
"Yeah.. a friend.. Well, he likes a girl. My friend, I mean. He wanted to know how to to tell her about his feelings.."
The older man pursed his lips tightly together pretending to be in deep thought when in actuality he was trying hard not to laugh. Jungkook had a great personality but he was the most anti-social person Namjoon had ever known which meant he had very few "friends" outside the group. This could mean only one thing...
Namjoon knew right away that this had to be more than the boy's usual flings and hook ups. He'd noticed the walls Jungkook had built around him begin to crumble. He also seemed to smile more often now and be involved in his work. The tense set of his shoulders had disappeared too. Namjoon had a good idea what had caused the change too.
"And you want me to help you confess?" Namjoon asks stating the obvious.
Jungkook merely nods then frowns, "Not me.. my friend."
"Right.. your friend. Well, you came to the right person. You know how I am with the ladies.." Namjoon spins in his chair with his hands stretched out and manages to knock over the computer screen.
Jungkook sighs covering his face, "I knew I should've gone to Jin hyung."
"No!!" Namjoon hurriedly righted himself. "I highly doubt Y/N would be impressed by dad jokes, really.."
"You have a point, hyung.. Wait a minute!! I never mentioned a name! I never said anything about Y/N." Jungkook says defensively in a voice that is usually high pitched for him but it provides all the proof Namjoon needed.
"Alright. Alright" Namjoon threw this hands up in mock surrender.

You stare at the professor standing at the head of the class. His lips move forming words that make no sense to you, they seem to enter one ear and exit from the other. Your mouth stretches open in a wide yawn and you don't bother covering up your exhaustion.
Why is this taking so long?
From the cover of your eye you see some of your fellow classmates begin to stir in their seats and peep out of the window. They then turn around surprised and tell their neighbor something which excites that individual too. You look around in curiosity but no one invites you to join in on the excitement so you lay your head down and stare at a wall.
The sound of the bell sends a surge of energy through you.
Finally I can go.. you think enthusiastically before reality slaps you in the face... back to work. Ughhh!
You notice how instead of spilling out of the class like usual the whole class is peeping out of the windows and talking enthusiastically. For a moment you think of having a look yourself but think better of it.
Walking door the corridor you hear more excitement as girls giggle, some even squealing. You catch a few words here and there "so handsome" "his car" "in our university" yet you don't have the slightest clue what they are all going on about.
People shove past you in a hurry. Muttering curses under your breath you try your best to avoid being trampled to pulp.
To your annoyance, when you finally exit the building you see a crowd blocking the entrance of the university. Taking advantage of your small size you weave your walk through the crowd till you're at the very front. Your mouth drops open at the sight before you.
