"Here you go!" you sing happily as you place the tray which carries two cupcakes, a tall glass of strawberry milkshake and a cup of steaming hot coffee on the table.
The young girl clasps her hands as her eyes catch the sight of the pink beverage. Reaching her hand out she grabs a cupcake, immediately biting a huge chuck of it and leaving behind a bit of frosting on her nose. You chuckle at the young girl as her eyes cross in an attempt see the frosting decorating the tip of her nose. Stooping low you wipe it away using a tissue earning a toothy smile that's missing a few teeth.
"Enjoy!"
"Thank you." Her mother smiles at you.
It's been a week since you started working at the cafe. You loved getting back to work so much that you couldn't understand how you'd been locked in a room without doing anything. The kind lady you'd spoken to about the job happened to be the owner. She was just as sweet to you now as her worker as she'd been on that day when you were a customer. Her kind smile always threw you off, it was so familiar that every time you were exposed to it you found your heart leap but never quite understood where the familiarity originated from.
"You're good with kids," Minho comes to stand beside you wiping his hand on his black apron. You smile up at him handing him the next order.
Minho walks up to a table, he greets the customers and serves them their coffee, his charm turned up to the max. He's exceptionally good at his job, you soon came to realise that. Not so surprisingly, he had a fan base of regular female customers who were not so happy when you had served them. You were getting better at identifying Minho's fan base: young girls who were dressed extremely well and shifting in their seats impatiently waiting for the first sight of the handsome male.

"Y/N Dear, can I have a word with you?" You recognise the voice and move towards it.
"Yes, Ma'am." the older lady sighs shaking her head. You instantly bite your tongue on seeing her expression and giving her an awkward smile. She had told you numerous times before not to address her so formally but it had seemed wrong to address your boss in any other way.
She lightly slaps your shoulder like a mother would, "What have I told you?" Crossing her arms across her chest she frowns giving you a look that she believes to be threatening but you only find it cute.
"I'm sorry," You giggle.
"Okay, jokes aside," She takes your arm beckoning you to sit next to her. "I just wanted to let you know that we'll be closing the cafe early tomorrow. My son is coming home after a long time so the family's going out for dinner."
"Oh.." You say not knowing how exactly to react to that piece of information. To be honest you weren't that happy, the workaholic in you had awaken from a bit of a hibernation and was not ready to go back to sleep. You knew that Miri would be working too so you'd be stuck alone at home with your thoughts, that was the last thing you needed.
Looking across at the lady smiling at you, you'd somehow never imagined her to you to have a son despite the motherly vibe she always emitted. As you look at her now you begin to wonder about her life out of this cafe when she's not standing behind the counter.
"Don't look so sad," She smiles at your expression. "You've been working very hard so take this time to get some rest."

You give her a tight lipped smile but before the conversation can continue, the glass doors part revealing more customers. You spring up from your seat by which time Minho is already taking their order.
"Ma'am.." You say. "If you don't mind Mihno-shi and I can carry on working tomorrow instead of closing the cafe half day? Since it's a Sunday, it'll be a waste to close early on the day we have the most customers coming in. I'm sure we'll be able to handle it."
"Aiggo this girl," She places her palm against her forehead. "Any other young person would be happy to get a holiday from work." She giggles shaking her head.
"Is that a yes then?" You feel a smile come on. Raising your eyebrows you urge her on.
"Go ahead if you want to work so badly."
"I'm just helping you earn more money. If we don't close early we don't lose any sales. Simple!"
She lets out a warm laugh and you feel a sudden sense of comfort and happiness. The sound is so genuine and warm you find yourself smiling. "This kid.." She playfully pats on your back before returning to the back of the counter.
"I heard from Sajang-nim that thanks to you I lost a potential half day and now have to work a full day." Minho stands before you blocking your way. You try to step away from him but he steps to the side and blocks you again.
"Your welcome. I know just how much you looove to work." A smile spreads across his face. Then, suddenly remembering the conversation you had with Sajang-nim, you ask "Hey, have you ever met her son?"
His brows draw closer as he thinks. "Um.. why the sudden interest?" He smirks at you. His tone teasing and light.
"I'm just curious. I've never really thought about Sajang-nim's family before and she mentioned that her son was coming down so.."
"Her son used to work here with me until he started studying at Busan University. But I've never met her other-"
"Minho Oppa!!" A loud female voice cuts through your conversation causing Minho to suddenly halt his speech.
"Go ahead. Entertain your fans," you say despite wanting him to continue.
He sighs dramatically, placing the back of his right hand against his forehead and sighs, "With great looks comes great responsibility."
You laugh, unable to hold it in. "Gosh, you sound exactly like Jungk-" You stop abruptly, the name choking you.
"Hey.. are you alright?" Minho asks placing a hand on your shoulder.
"Oh I'm fine." You force a smile and gesture towards the girl would had called him over.
