《| His Secretary | KTH ✔️》Part 25

You were panting while rushing towards the office. You remember waking up very early to the phone call of Mrs Kim. She, along with Ana, took you to Ana's personal boutique to discuss on the wedding dresses of Taehyung's and yours.
You were a bit awkward in the beginning, and even told them that it was too early to decide on the wedding dresses but Mrs Kim was too excited that you didn't had the heart to let her down. Also, those were just sample dresses so it wasn't a big deal.
But something which was a big deal was that your phone's battery was at the lowest in the morning and you didn't even get enough time to recharge it. You already knew that Taehyung had a morning meeting so you called the receptionist instead to inform about going to the office in the second half.
Reaching your cubicle, you couldn't help but take a small peek at his cabin but frowned after not being able to locate him inside through the glass door. "Where is he?" You thought but shrugged it away, concentrating on your pending work.
A few hours rolled down and your shift nearly came to an end but still there wasn't a trace of Taehyung. You felt so strange after not seeing him for almost the whole day. A sigh escaped your mouth after you realised that he didn't even bothered to drop a message about his whereabouts.
You pulled out your phone and decided to call him yourself but scoffed when he didn't pick up. "What the hell?" You tried again but he wasn't answering.
On the other side, Taehyung was seated on the chair of the restaurant, with a frown which wasn't showing up in his face. He eyed the screen of his phone which was lighting up with your caller ID but couldn't pick up the call.
Before him sat a lady with dark blonde hairs, wearing a tight fit red dress and a red gloss complementing her pale white skin. Choi Yumi. Her right hand was holding the fork pressing the green leaf served on the plate and her other hand was busy in curling the loose strand of her blonde hairs.
Seeing the food which she ordered, which was a salad bomb, old memories flashed in his mind and he remembered how you hated to eat this vegetables. He smiled a little remembering your poker face when you were given to eat that.
Thinking about it now, he realised that there were so many differences between you and Yumi. In fact, there were many differences between you and any other girl who belonged to a rich family.
You never boasted about being rich or showed off with your father's money, instead you wanted to work and earn yourself. You were never fussy about being irritably hygienic and diet conscious, you never liked to wear branded clothes or highlight about wearing them in particular, you never liked to lace your skin with heavy makeup. You never liked to go clubbing every other day and waste money on hookahs and gambling.

You were just a little bit chaotic and irritating. Yet so adorable and innocent. You were just a little bit messy and mischievous. Yet so pure and kind. You were so annoying yet so lovable. So lovable that even he, Kim Taehyung, couldn't help but fall heads over heels for you.
"So?" She continued the conversation. Taehyung raised his brow at her, looking up from his phone. He badly wished to be with you at this moment because this certain lady was irritating him to the core, just the way she used to do before. "So?" He imitated her facial expressions, tracing the ceramic mug of coffee, too full with the ambience itself to eat anything properly.
"How have you been after college?" The blonde smirked, letting her eyes run over his face, making him groan internally. Only if he could get out of this situation. "It's the same that I wanted to be. Peaceful..." He took a small sip of the latte. "...until now." She heard his loud murmer but didn't let the frown dawn upon her face.
"So...was I ever included in your wants?" Yumi looked at him from under her long lashes. "Miss Choi...this was supposed to be a formal meeting and not a college reunion." Taehyung sighed. "But we have already discussed business and I am more than glad to work with you." Yumi gave her best smile to him.
"Even I am glad to hear about that. Now that we have met and discussed officially, let's just fix a date and finalize the deal." Taehyung strictly wanted to talk business but Yumi had some other plans. "Why are you in such a hurry? Can't we talk something other than work Taehyung?" She pouted and Taehyung cringed evidently.
Taehyung?
Is she really calling me Taehyung so casually like I am her long lost best friend?
"Where the hell are you and why the hell aren't you picking up my calls?"
Taehyung's phone beeped with the message notification and he sighed before scratching the side of his forehead. It was you.
"Kim Taehyung you better reply to me if you do not want me to feast over your roasted head!"
Taehyung widened his eyes a little getting another message from you and later shook his head at the choice of your words.
"Yaah! I am so angry on you.
(눈‸눈)"
The side of his lips curved up a little reading your another message but he straightened his form, and slightly eyed Yumi who was speaking to him continuously.
"You know, I literally rejected that guy on his face. He really thought that bringing me a diamond set would make me date him. I mean like dude, there were many more things but he chose the cheapest way to woo me. Jeez!" Taehyung sighed, poking the inside of his cheek with his tongue.

"Are you ignoring me?"
"Yes"
He finally replied to your message as currently it was more interesting to him than listening to Yumi's rants.
"Kim Taehyung-ssi..."
"That hurts"
"(╥﹏╥)"
"Here🔪 you could have taken this knife and stabbed me instead of being so blatant and mean."
"And what about you? Didn't you ignore me in the morning?"
"Drama queen!"
"Me? When did I ignore you?"
"I am innocent 👉🏻👈🏻"
"Taehyung are you even listening to me?" Taehyung looked up from his phone when Yumi's voice ringed in his ears. He completely forgot that he was sitting with her. "Oh...yeah.." He chimed. "So I was saying that, I really never tried to find anyone after you...you know..." She smiled at him, who shifted in his chair a little uncomfortably.
"Well, Yumi...we both were actually never a thing...if you remember." He let out while his phone flashed with your message again. "But I always had my eyes on you only Taehyung. Just look at me. I am everything a man desires for in their partners. Don't you think that we would make a great pair together?" Yumi suddenly held his hand which was resting on the table.
"Yumi.." he spoke a little sternly, removing his hand from her grip instantly. "I was never into you back in college and I have made it clear to you a thousand times. Even today I have no interest to date you or...or anyone else...so please. Do not bring up that topic and embarrass me."
Yumi frowned at his ice cold tone. She was always after him since college days and wanted to date him but he never gave her any reciprocation. This mere liking of her has now turned into an unhealthy obsession that she literally did everything possible to work with him.
"But why? Why don't you want to?" She clenched her jaws angrily and Taehyung looked around, making sure no one was being attentive to them because her voice was a little high pitched this time. "I already have someone Yumi. And I am content with her. I do not want anyone else. Hope you would understand."
Taehyung was also losing his patience with her now. "What?" She was shocked. "No....! It can't be. You are lying to me." She stood up, pointing her finger at him and this time she sure gained attention from everyone.
"Don't create an unwanted scene here Choi Yumi. I told you the truth but it's your choice whether to believe it or not. I do not have any role to play in this. But just because you do not like a certain piece of information, that doesn't makes me a liar. I would like you to behave a bit more professional from now on if you really want to work with me or else you can tell me and I would call off the deal, anytime you want."
This time Taehyung couldn't hold his urge to burst out on her. He knew that this meeting with her would lead him to no good knowing how personal she would try to get. He scoffed before leaving the restaurant and a flustered but an angry Yumi behind.
Sitting in his car, he sighed heavily and later pulled out his phone to see several messages from you. He ignored them and directly called you. "The person you are trying to reach to is currently mad and angry and doesn't wants to talk to a certain Kim. Kindly call her never."
The furrowed lines on his forehead straightened and he let out a small smile hearing you speak in the operator's voice. "Kindly drop my message to that certain Lee that this certain Kim wants to meet her right now." He played along.
"Huh! What do you think of me huh? Am I a doll with whom you can play? Yaah Kim Taehyung-ssi don't make me more mad." You scoffed from the other side of the call. "Sure you are a doll....but Anabelle doll." "YAAAH!" He laughed, throwing back his head on the seat.
"Are you alone at home?" He asked. "No. Minie is here of course! So don't try to come here." He frowned at your reply. "Why? Why can't I come there?" "Are you serious Mr Kim? It's almost 10 pm. How can you visit any girl's place at this time of the night" You too frowned.
"You aren't just any girl y/n...and we are not some highschool teenagers who are dating secretly. You are literally my fiancée." He groaned. "I don't know anything. You can't come here because I am not alone. That's it!" He sighed at your stubbornness.
"Fine, then you come to me." He stated. "How will I? What will I say to Minie? She will literally shoot me with numerous questions." You shook your head. "I do not know anything. Either you come to the beach where we used to go or I will straight come to your apartment after waiting for fifteen minutes."
He stated firmly this time and you whined but he wasn't in the mood to listen and so you had to agree. You can't risk him coming to your apartment at this hour and then earn all those teasing glances of Minie because Ana, Seokjin, Jimin, Liz and Jungkook were more than enough for that purpose.
